We may not get all of the Ace Attorney games in the West, but we do have Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Spirit of Justice to look forward to on the eShop. Capcom's releasing the localised version in September, and is slowly ramping up its efforts to promote the quirky entry in the series.
It sees Phoenix Wright in a mysterious place - 'Kingdom of Khura'in' - as colleagues struggle to keep the law firm afloat at home. It also introduces 'Divination Séances', and will no doubt provide some fun twists on the standard formula; now in the latest trailer, Capcom also introduces the cast and the return of Maya Fey.
It's looking like a fun arrival for fans, in any case, with a mix of old and new characters in the mix - check it out below.

I was waiting for your announcement!
I'm super hyped for this game already!!
This does add to my excitement but I think I'm going to import only this time around. Voice acting is a little cringe worthy for me.
only attorney i (hopefully) will ever need.
Maya!
How time has passed "in" these games? Hasn't it been at least a decade?
@ziffy She's 27 years old, even though she doesn't look like it. It's been 8 years between Trials & Tribulations and Spirit of Justice.
@BigDaddysPizza She does look older. It actually reminds me of when we saw adult Ema Skye for the first time in Ace Attorney 4 because a decade or so had passed.
Squeeling like a little hamster
God this is gonna be great!!
What have they done to Athena's voice actor btw, she was briliant last time!
It's a shame we never got Investigations 2 as apparently it was amazing and a huge approvement over the original which I loved. And don't even get me started on the Great Ace attorney! The original writer came back for it! I'm really looking forward to this game though, dual destinies was a huge turnaround for the series that seems to be back on it's feet now! Listening to the fans and bringing back old characters is awesome. I still need gumshoe though. Shame we ain't getting a physical release but hey, I'm pleased we're getting the game I was worried after investigations 2 we wouldn't be getting anymore. Bring on this game!
Glad to have her back.
Haven't we known for a while that Maya was returning in this one though?
Is there a DLC case for this? If so I think I'll wait for that before I pick this up. I wanna play it all in one go rather than come back to it later on wanting more after doing the DLC.
I didn't even realize this had been announced for localization.
Right on.
It's nearly here! This game is looking set to be one of the best in the series, what with Maya returning and the idea of splitting Phoenix and Apollo into different areas so Phoenix doesn't overshadow him (which he's done in the past two entries of the series). Let's hope it meets our incredible expectations!
I prefer the voices in my head...
...
...That is, the voices my head imagines the characters talk in.
My body is ready
I hope those voices are from cutscenes (like in Dual Destinies) that Capcom didn't want to reveal, rather than voice acting in the actual game.
Except for that, I'm really hyped for it too. Maya is great!
I'm really excited for this, but voice acting seems a little lacking this time around. Athena sounded waaaaay better in Dual Destinies....
And Nick sounds really unmotivated, he sounded with more energy in both DD and Vs. Prof Layton!
Still, looking forward to September.
@TeeJay Yeah I'm not sure where the hype for this articles come from. I'm just hyped about the game itself.
Yeah...the voice acting does seem off. Something lacking with the facial animations or something. Anyway, looks cool! I gotta hurry and finish the trilogy I just bought!
@TeeJay Yes, this is the localization of the trailer that premiered a few months ago.
Why is "O Foolish Foreign Lawyer" not a meme yet?
Also, I like Haruhi Suziyama as much as the next AA weeb but seriously, the old VA for Athena was fine. Why replace her?
"United States".
No physical, no buy, unless it's on sale for really cheap.
@DarkKirby
Yeah, it's stupid how the localisation still insist that it takes place in the US
I love this franchise. It's really one of the best things you can play on a handheld.
I'll definitely get this but would prefer a physical launch, cause physical is so much better (not having to worry about space on memory card for example).
