@AlexSora89 I doubt they'll delay it when it's set for the Christmas period. It's the one big Nintendo AAA game coming out that Nintendo will profit from the most this Christmas so it would be foolish for them to delay it now.
We know Sakurai's team is pouring their soul into finishing it, so I wouldn't worry.
Slowing down the pacing? Wasn't the reveals timed at once every month? Considering Smash Bros. comes out in nearly 2 months, there wouldn't be that many more reveals anyway.
I guess it's decent nostalgic throwback, but these screenshots and level environments look very dull.
If they were gonna create a game that relived PS1 graphics nostalgia, they should've been influenced by games like Klonoa or Crash Bandicoot because their color schemes and art styles helped those games age better. Or heck, use Resident Evil 1 as inspiration if they wanted the mature setting. That game has aged but the environments still show more effort and passion than what I see in this game.
This game looks interesting but I've barely been paying attention to it outside of the Directs. Does it require the ship and character figurines to play the game, or can you play without them? What's their purpose?
In my head, it's body looked like liquid mercury (which is extremely poisonous), so I thought it would've been Poison/Steel type. That could've been interesting.
@Zelda_Geek Then polio would rise from the ashes and take over the world once again. Deadly illnesses are like street gangs; when the top dog is taken down, another will try to take its place.
Gives me another reason not to buy this. What are they thinking? It doesn't look good for Switch Online service if their exclusive offers are gonna be products like this.
@gcunit I understand what you mean, but it's hard to say no to someone in a situation like this. There's also the possibility that if Nintendo did give this guy an early demo of Smash and news spreads, a whole bunch of other people (faking illness or not) will try to bandwagon this idea (not just for Smash, but future games too.)
In the end, it's Nintendo's decision. I just hope people don't immediately brand them as cold-hearted. There's pros and cons to this sort of thing.
Oh geez. I know it's only video games, but the thought of not being able to experience something knowing your days are numbered is haunting. I don't know what his chances are for getting hold of Smash, but I hope someone at Nintendo hears him out.
I dunno. This IS a fun and unique game people should play, but people seem to glorify for every aspect, even the weaker parts. The best parts are the story and character writing, plus the soundtrack that compliments the story. Everything else is meh, like the repetitive enemy encounters that lose their appeal after their first encounter.
I won't mind supporting it from launch, considering a 1 year subscription is nearly half the price of 1 year PS Plus. Having access to those NES games and potential discounts will be neat. People might be moaning, but we should be grateful Nintendo managed to support free online multiplayer way longer than Sony and Microsoft.
Saying that, if they ever start raising the price, they'll need to add more incentives if that time comes. Otherwise, people will start dropping support for it.
I was disappointed, but honestly, it was unfair for Nintendo that a lot of the direct's "reveals" were revealed after the direct was rescheduled, showing us mostly stuff we already knew about.
Still, there was barely any new games! We're still stuck on the train of ported Switch games. The new games they did show were ones we already knew about (excluding Luigi's Mansion 3 and Animal Crossing.) The Nintendo Online segment told us nothing new whatsoever, so didn't really quell the fears people are having.
The Switch stand decal is cool, but the controller design is laughable. They were building it up in the trailer too, only to reveal it's just regular gray Joycons with 2 slashes on the fronts. xD
@FireMario887 Unless I'm wrong, The Yoshi series has only ever had two legitimately good games (Yoshi's Island SNES and Wooly World). The rest were a mixed bag from what I've seen online.
@NerdyBoutKirby It looks like they wanted to keep the reveals ambiguous by keeping the cutscenes rendered simple and seamless between them. They even skipped the Smash slash-in intro this time to keep us on our toes. I'd say it's a smart move.
@Al_Godoy Yeh the direct was disappointing, but this Katamari port was a legitimate surprise. It's a fun goofy game where you destroy civilisations by a rolling a giant alien ball over them.
Meh. I wish I could look forward to this game, but everything they show in the trailers doesn't really have that wow factor. The only thing interesting is seeing how Kanto looks remade on the Switch, but that's not enough for me to spend £50 on. These games were probably meant to appeal to the newest generation of kids who didn't experience Kanto as older fans did.
Just tried it out. Wasn't expecting the demo stage to be hard (in a challenging way.) Managed to make it to Block Man but still lost. I like the feel of the stage, it definitely feels like classic Mega Man besides being longer. The Gear Mechanic works swell too. Makes some of the enemies feel like little combat puzzles, especially the miniboss. Looking forward to the full game.
I love how the article is written like its trying to sell this game to us, then after a couple paragraphs it reads "Oh wait, this game's a 5/10, don't bother."
Surely, they'll explain the details on Nintendo Online, right? If they don't tomorrow in the direct, they might get serious backlash for no info. on a paid online service no one has faith in right now.

Re: 'Tis The Season For A New Line Of Nintendo Christmas Sweaters, Pre-Orders Open
I'd love to buy one if they weren't so pricey. Especially when they were only made to wear for the holiday season. >.>
Re: Rumour: Switch Firmware Update 6.0.0 Seems To Limit User Upload Speeds
Don't worry guys, put down the nooses. I'm sure we can still live our lives with less upload speeds.

Re: Random: Someone Just Sold An Early Copy Of Super Mario Party On eBay For $7,100
There's two kinds of people. There's people who give $7,100 to charity, and people who give $7,100 to play a video game early.

No Gamecube section? If this is true, they seem to be avoiding GC games like the plague. It can't be that difficult to emulate, right?

I just thought... doesn't having NES games obtained with Switch online defeat the purpose of owning a NES Classic now?

Look forward to this at least. One of the only highlights form this direct.

Is it weird I kinda wanna play this again? Never got to experience the Luigi DLC levels.
It's a shame a Switch port is one of my highlights for a disappointing direct of mostly ports. Besides Luigi's Mansion 3.
