Re: Experience PlayStation One Era Graphics On Switch With Survival Horror Back In 1995

I guess it's decent nostalgic throwback, but these screenshots and level environments look very dull.

If they were gonna create a game that relived PS1 graphics nostalgia, they should've been influenced by games like Klonoa or Crash Bandicoot because their color schemes and art styles helped those games age better. Or heck, use Resident Evil 1 as inspiration if they wanted the mature setting. That game has aged but the environments still show more effort and passion than what I see in this game.

Re: Campaign Begins To Get Terminal Cancer Patient The Chance To Play Smash Bros. Ultimate

@gcunit I understand what you mean, but it's hard to say no to someone in a situation like this. There's also the possibility that if Nintendo did give this guy an early demo of Smash and news spreads, a whole bunch of other people (faking illness or not) will try to bandwagon this idea (not just for Smash, but future games too.)

In the end, it's Nintendo's decision. I just hope people don't immediately brand them as cold-hearted. There's pros and cons to this sort of thing.

Re: Video: Five Features Included With The Nintendo Switch Online Membership

I won't mind supporting it from launch, considering a 1 year subscription is nearly half the price of 1 year PS Plus. Having access to those NES games and potential discounts will be neat. People might be moaning, but we should be grateful Nintendo managed to support free online multiplayer way longer than Sony and Microsoft.

Saying that, if they ever start raising the price, they'll need to add more incentives if that time comes. Otherwise, people will start dropping support for it.

Re: Opinion: What Did You Think Of Today's Nintendo Direct?

TJWorks

I was disappointed, but honestly, it was unfair for Nintendo that a lot of the direct's "reveals" were revealed after the direct was rescheduled, showing us mostly stuff we already knew about.

Still, there was barely any new games! We're still stuck on the train of ported Switch games. The new games they did show were ones we already knew about (excluding Luigi's Mansion 3 and Animal Crossing.) The Nintendo Online segment told us nothing new whatsoever, so didn't really quell the fears people are having.

Re: Take On Block Man In The Mega Man 11 Demo, Now Live On The Switch eShop

Just tried it out. Wasn't expecting the demo stage to be hard (in a challenging way.) Managed to make it to Block Man but still lost. I like the feel of the stage, it definitely feels like classic Mega Man besides being longer. The Gear Mechanic works swell too. Makes some of the enemies feel like little combat puzzles, especially the miniboss. Looking forward to the full game.
