We may well only just be entering October, but that won't even come close to stopping retailers from tempting customers with all sorts of Christmas-themed goodies. If you celebrate the holiday, these new ugly (but actually rather lovely) Christmas sweaters might just be for you.
The designs are available at Merchoid, a site dedicated to selling officially licenced merchandise, and there are plenty of options to choose from. From Zelda, to Mario, to Pokémon, Nintendo's biggest and brightest franchises are all covered, and pre-orders are open right now.
If these don't do it for you, there are also designs featuring Crash Bandicoot, Sonic, Street Fighter, and even Sony or Atari if you feel that way inclined. If you want to take a browse at the full range, head on over to the site here (most designs range from around £36.99 to £42.99).

How about some Halloween Nintendo sweaters? lol
Only half the world is in winter at christmas, where's the swimwear?

Luckily I have a nice warm and soft Zelda christmas sweater, because I don't really like these. Love the tradition though.
@Tsurii That's kinda the point...
They're a bit corny, so I wouldn't buy them myself. But if an old family member got me one insteady of a more traditional version, I'd actually wear them. Seems like a good joke gift for gamers as well.
kind of expensive for a christmas sweater
I feel like the ugly sweater at Christmas was a thing that was popular in 2008 and has been done to death at this point.
But whatever. To each their own.
You can't have Christmas without an ugly sweater.
@Heavyarms55 funnily enough people tend to wear Christmas sweaters every year and have done since the 1980s.
I'd love to buy one if they weren't so pricey. Especially when they were only made to wear for the holiday season. >.>
Too bad it’s only cold enough for about 1-2 months here. My bestie would love that Pikachu sweater.
I love the Zelda ones but at that price I'm afraid not!
(I'll probably cave as it gets colder)
I’m interested in the Zelda sweaters if they will help keep me from losing hearts on Mt. Lanayru. I’ve been getting by with this warm doublet I got second hand, but it kind of smells like a musty old guy.
@Mogster Christmas Sweaters have been a thing for years. I've seen pictures of my grandmother wearing them from the early 70s even. But the whole deliberately obnoxious and ugly thing not so much.
@Ooyah - I guess it’s been about a year since we realized we are friends. Hope you’re well(ish).
@bimmy-lee
Hey man! I remember it well! I'm doing what I do best... barely surviving! 😉 How are you holding up yourself?
@Ooyah - Glad to hear you’re still kicking fate’s backside. Keep surviving and flinging Isaac tears. He’s counting on you. Just one more run (and then one more after that... and then another). No complaints here, thanks. It’s my favorite time of year. Really enjoying this cool fall weather. We experience extreme summer and winter weather, so the short breaks in between are very welcome. I wish you continued survival and laughter.
