Sorry to Monster Hunter fans. It's funny the Paid DLC Mii Costumes sections is the part we dread the most, even though they're supposed to be fun inclusions.
Say what you will about the gameplay and story pacing, but I still think Skyward Sword has the best audio-visual presentation in the whole series. The impressionist art style they went with made the environments look gorgeous, and the soundtrack is one of the best in the Zelda series. I'm baffled that some people think it's ugly or think the music is bad.
The worst thing to have one your box art is the main character(s) taking up a tiny portion of the box art. It's not an enticing look. EU/NA easily wins.
Just saw the 4-min gameplay preview from IGN. It's definitely looking a lot more interesting than other Warrior games. I hope it lives up to my expectations.
My money's on Crash Bandicoot. Not just 'cos he's a strong contender but also his next game is the day after tomorrow, so I'm thinking they might time his reveal close to his new release.
It's a shame this game isn't getting great reviews, but they don't seem too bad. I'm gonna buy it eventually. This is the type of game I've been wanting for a while. Hopefully they'll add patches to fix performance issues.
They must've censored his body hair too. Mario is disturbingly baby smooth for a gruff man that refuses to cut his hair or dye his hair the same color as his mustache.
Don't they give every game a 30+/40 score? Although I'm looking forward to Origami King, I wouldn't trust Famitsu's opinion. They'll love anything labelled with the Official Nintendo Seal of Approval on it.
Jesus. What train of logic brought him to that idea? There's probably more to his situation but I'm glad they intercepted him before anything serious happened.
Getting heavy BotW vibes, but the four seasons theming could help make it stand on its own and could still be fun. I have a feeling people will be comparing both games alot though.
I could never get into ARMS, even though I liked the presentation, character designs and music. After seeing the demonstration, playing Min Min might make Smash a better ARMS game than ARMS.
@RupeeClock I didn't say they would apply their abilities as well. Of course it be purely cosmetic changes, the same with Bowser Jr./The Koopalings.
I also picked the characters that would be the easiest to skin to the same skeleton base that'd be difficult for others, such as Twintelle (doesn't use arms to fight) or Mechanica (fights inside non-human shaped mech). It's all just speculation anyway.
They do look really nice to have. Buuuuut... paying £14.50 plus postage for themed-playing cards that are more likely to suffer wear and tear from using is a hard pill to swallow.
Outside of these Origami characters, it would've been nice to seem them go back to designing unique enemies/partners that aren't just ripped straight from basic Mario designs. Oh well. It still looks pretty fun. I'm excited.
I'm assuming it's all packaging and high quality materials responsible for the high price, because applying a Pokemon emblem that takes up 5% of the surface area of a shirt is not worth $100.
Ehhhh... if you're gonna create a monster-collecting game, you really need to avoid imitating the Pokemon style. I don't know why creators still do this when all they do is resemble bootleg Pokemon games. These designs lack anything special and look no different from the copycats.
Gotta go with banjo. In all honesty, the other box art would fail to grab my attention in a shop. All I see is a weirdly shaped test tube rocket with flying oranges dunked in dark chocolate. (I know they're supposed to be explosions, but they don't look like 'em.)
@NotoriousWhiz I haven't played DBFZ but that community should still be active. I went back to Street Fighter 5 on PS4 for a change of pace. I'd love to pick up Pokken again but I can't imagine it's still active now. I'll check later.
I'd love to get Pikmin 3 again. I sold my Wii U collection off last year as it became more of a paperweight over the years. Hope it includes extra content (if it IS being made.)
It's one of those "style over substance" impressions unfortunately. I still enjoyed it, and the shortcomings don't take away how gorgeous the game looks in action.
Haven't touched the game after completing the PS4 version within the first week. I wonder if they fixed the difficulty scaling, 'cos the game's second half was ridicuously easy due to how quick leveling up was. It was an enjoyable game but it was rough around the edges at launch.
The European box art Mega Man doesn't look half-bad, compared to the others. It's composition is readable, MM looks like MM, and the brushstrokes and details are rendered nicely.
Too bad Guts Man and Fire Man's goofy faces clash with MM, and Dr. Wily looks like he's patiently doing his business in the bathroom.
I know they're completely seperate mediums ran by seperate teams, but seeing how beautiful these Twilight Wing shorts are makes you wonder what Sword and Shield could've been if they put in more time and effort...
@rallydefault I wasn't describing the entire sections as cheap. Only small areas that I couldn't beat without touching the same hazard on every attempt. The ice area in the second area you mentioned is a good example of this. Where you have to build momentum by rolling across the ice floor to duck under the spikes. But in my experience, they don't give you enough room to duck after rolling as I still touched the ice spikes during the roll phase in every attempt.
I've just recently beat this game last week. Nice to see they've added these options for people struggling, since I don't think the Impossible Lair level is very fun to begin with. Some areas feel cheaply hard, and I couldn't think of a way to get through those areas WITHOUT sacrificing a bee. The rest of the game was fun, but they don't prepare you for the massive difficulty spike in the Impossible Lair level.

Re: New Pokémon Snap Gets New Trailer, Photo Mode And Competitive Online Rankings Unveiled

Understandable, but at least there's one Pokemon game I can look forward too.

Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of The February 2021 Nintendo Direct, Then?
Best way to describe it as 'hit or 'miss'. People need to learn to tone down their expectations. It's not as bad as they're making it out to be.

@Clyde_Radcliffe The dead eyes are just an inherently bad design choice for most Funko Pops. These metallic variants are even worse.
