Another new trailer has arrived for SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated, this time giving us a decent look at the game's multiplayer offerings.
As you can see, you'll be able to team up with a friend for some co-op fun. The co-op functionality is available in both local multiplayer and online.
"Grab your buddy and face the evil Robo-Squidward in the brand new horde mode for up to two players, online and couch co-op on the same screen! The multiplayer contains 26 islands and 7 playable characters, all with unique attacks."
About SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated:
Are you ready, kids? The cult classic is back, faithfully remade in spongetastic splendor! Play as SpongeBob, Patrick and Sandy and show the evil Plankton that crime pays even less than Mr. Krabs. Want to save Bikini Bottom from lots of rampant robots with your mighty bubbles? Of course you do! Want to underpants bungee jump? Why wouldn't you! Want to join forces in a brand new multiplayer mode? The battle is on!
Last month, an earlier trailer also showed off some of the "epic" boss fights in the game.
The game launches Switch on 23rd June, so we really don't have long to wait now. It's available both on the eShop and in physical form, including some very pricey options indeed.

I'm so excited for this. Loved the original. This mode looks like it'll be fun to play with friends from time to time.
They should port this Survival mode to the TV show. Maybe it would finally bring it to an end.
How much content can I expect in this game. It's on my radar, but the lower price is making me wary that it's a quick affair.
@TJWorks Actually it's been improving since the second movie, no more The Splinters or One Coarse Meals! (well, there was Ink Lemonade, but other than that it'd been improving heavily)
@gcunit The original was about 10-15 hours for the main campaign, definitely tending toward 15 or a little higher for new players. If you want 100% completion, it could easily be over 20 hours.
There's new content in the main campaign, in addition to new modes, so probably a bit above that?
EDIT: To put it another way, it's comparable in length to Super Mario 64.
i cant stand modern spongebob, i hope this remake is in the vein of the pre movie era!
Cool! I'm hoping Timesplitters trilogy is next!!
Why isn't there any water effects when the mecha Squidward moves around in the water? Looked weird
@link3710 Thank you
@NikHogan Give a chance to the episodes made after the second movie, many people praise these new episodes, from Season 9 and afterwards, the show became good again.
It happened because the creator came back to work on the show, shame that he died, maybe the show can become bad again.
People seem exited for this game,I might check it out
This was the first game I played when I got a PS2, but never scratched the surface as it was borrowed. It's like I'll be playing a bona-fide 2020 collect-a-thon.
Should have been 4 player co-op 👎🏼
Looks cool. The only thing that I don't like is how unnatural robo squidward looks when submerging: no splashes or anything.
