Nothing for me...Xenoblade next week!
Minecraft Dungeons for me and the boy for sure. The Persistence intrigues me, but I'll wait on reviews from a few places first. The Red Baron game also sounds neat.
Minecraft Dungeons, let the coop begin.
::glances at list of releases::
::raises eyebrows with excitement at new Switch online virtual console games::
::eyebrows return to normal::
::still eagerly awaiting House of the Dead news::
Can we buy Minecraft Dungeons on the Switch eShop yet, b/c I can't buy it on the website?
https://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/minecraft-dungeons-switch/
It says "Redeem game code" but I can't find a Switch code for it anywhere either, Amazon and Best Buy only have digital codes for Windows and Xbox.
Also, is the Switch getting the $29.99 Hero edition that includes the 2 DLC? Can't find that anywhere either.
Nothing's ever easy w/ Nintendo is it?
@rjejr Yeah, seems same for PS4 and Switch. Beta only worked for Microsoft also. Think they are just to get most they can to buy on Microsoft.
Good thing is Nintendo finally gave it a release date on its site.
I was incredibly interested in What the Golf... but I watched a little of it and it seems like it would get old fast?
Looking forward to Minecraft Dungeons. I’m going to play it in 4 player co-op with my 3 kids. Very excited to jump in.
What the Golf..... And tempted by Red Wings
Ryger could have been fun for me, but I don't enjoy having to duck just to hit every other enemy.
Thought that pushy game was a new Pushmo...
Turns out it's some weird block-pushing version of Bomberman
Minecraft Dungeons!
I'm probably the only one who will want it, but i'm getting realMYST. I used to enjoy the original way back in the day and this will bring back a lot of nostalgic memories.
@rjejr What exactly is going to be included with DLC?
What The Golf rules, but I have that on iOS already.
The NES and SNES update was great though. I’m thoroughly enjoying all 4 games.
Red Wings all the way... If only it was available in EU. The devs are ignoring all questions about a release outside USA, not very cool.
EDIT: turns out the game is on EU store too, but it never appeared in the "upcoming" section!
Its true of bigger releases, but it’s worth mentioning that the Switch version of MC:D won’t be on par with the other console versions; I’ve followed this one eagerly from the start and was disappointed to learn Switch is 30fps / lower resolution. Might be something to consider if you’re planning couch coop with a lot of hectic action on screen, and have a beefier console to play it on.
Nothing but the SNES and NES Online Games as well as the new Civ VI DLC (not mentioned here).
@Radbot42 would love the actual Pushmo and sequels on Switch!
Just the freebies as I now have to deal with competition to get Switch time with daughter and wife. Animal Crossing is quickly becoming the most played game in the house.
Minecraft dungeons looks interesting so look forward to reading the review on that. Not planning on buying anything though, stillworking my way through what I already have and picking up
Xeno for sure
Grabbing Minecraft Dungeons on Gamepass for sure. Had really hoped it would get a physical Switch release as we have several Switch consoles in house and wouldn't want to purchase it more than once. If there was a physical copy on Switch it would be a day one purchase for me. Still I may pickup a digital copy on Switch depending on how much we enjoy it.
Uhhhh! Where the heck is Sunset Riders! Stop teasing us now! 🤨
@HeyItsFlapjack I'm also interested in realMyst, but it's way cheaper on mobile devices, I think $6 or $7. Plus, the original was played with a mouse so a touch screen would probably be a must for me, meaning no TV on Switch. I would be interested to see how both the mobile and Switch versions weigh against each other. The Switch might end up being the perfect blend of traditional controls and touch screen.
@Danjel iv saw a review of Red Wings after I voted. I already got What the Golf. After the review, I think I will get it now. Looks cool!
@Dazza no European releases this week?
Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath DLC for me. I love the game, even if its ugly and needs work.
Otherwise, I have Xenoblade pre-installed
Might also try Minecraft dungeons, but thats free on Game Pass, so its hard to justify buying anything on GP on Switch (or other platforms). Same for the golf game
@LavaTwilight Maybe the PR mails will arrive late because of Ascension day
@neufel Maybe... it's not really observed in the UK, but not sure about the rest of Europe.
Steel Rain sounds cool
Go Minecraft dungeons! I love that it’s powering ahead of the other games!
Why no coverage of Journey to the Savage Planet??
Rygar! Love that game. It's another example of the NES version of a game being superior to its arcade original. While it's only my opinion, I'd put Contra, Punch Out, and Bionic Commando in the same category.
Poor Europe, no releases this week.
Umm.. Where is Europe?
For me, the weekly store update with the sales is the most important part of this site.
If you don't get a PR email in time, why not just do it by hand?
It's bad enough that sometimes we don't get the mid-week updates here (not every publisher starts a sale or publishes a game on Thursday) - but not getting the 'big' weekly update is just ridiculous for a dedicated site this big.
Thank God for DekuDeals.
Manually browsing through the hundreds of sales on the console's hardly functioning eShop page literally takes an hour. Every time.
Not sure why Nintendo decided to release 'Panel de Pon' for SNES Online instead of the localized version known as 'Tetris Attack' (that featured Yoshi's Island characters instead of those fairy characters that no one in USA knows about). Also, I just played 'Panel De Pon' on my Switch and it's not even localized. Some of it is in English, but most of the menu is Japanese. What the heck, Nintendo? Was there some kind of litigation because they improperly used the word 'Tetris' in the title?
@VinnieMii There probably was a licensing issue as Nintendo had those rights in the 90’s and it belongs to someone else now.
But as I mentioned before in other thread, I’m very much disappointed with Nintendo’s lack of localization effort. I can’t enjoy this game or know what’s going on, which choice to pick etc. - seems like a waste of an entry if you ask me without that translation on a North American game store.
@Magrane Totally agree with what your saying. They could've done something(!) to improve the gaming experience, and it would've been easy to do it, too. But they did nothing. They could've just slapped the 'Panel de Pon' title on the SNES version or transfer the English files to the Super Famicom version. But I guess we're stuck with trial and error on this one. Thankfully, we can create suspend points before making a mistake.
@mr12calvin I don't know anything more about Minecraft Dungeons on Switch that what it says here, which is very little sorry. I really think Microsoft would prefer we buy it on PC or Xbox. I did see someone on twitter say the entire story was only about 3 hours long.
Game releases in 3 days and it's more of a mystery than Paper Mario which releases in 2 months.
https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/store/minecraft-dungeons-nintendo-switch/
@mesome713 "Think they are just to get most they can to buy on Microsoft."
Funny, I just replied to another person and said the same thing, they rather you buy it on PC or Xbox.
@HeyItsFlapjack Not the only one!
