I wanna start a NES library, but consoles and games are so pricey these days! It doesn't help that, even though I'm in Europe, I want to play NTSC and are thus forced to import everything from the US. And it's the same with SNES and N64 (though for that, I can at least get the console from Japan, since it's the same shape in every region). It's hard to play OG retro games right now!
@Artonide It took them 3 years (I think, maybe more) to develop a native version for the PS5. People were stuck with the PS4 version of Bedrock for the longest time. So, uh, I'm not getting my hopes up 🤣
This game is absolutely crazy. If you've been thinking of playing it but never have, give it a shot. I recognize it might not be everyone's cup of tea but it absolutely hit in all the right places for me. I think it totally deserves its fame. 10 years later and I'm still finding out new things about this masterpiece. Please don't let the memes discourage you from playing if you're thinking about it. 🤣
Well, it's very unfortunate. I guess the solution would be to test the system before buying it, or seeing a video of it working. Not everyone would let you do that, though.
Already answered the survey! As soon as I got the e-mail, my first thought was: "Man, I really gotta complain about those game-key cards and game prices!" But in all seriousness it's good that it at least LOOKS like thay're taking feedback. For now I love my Switch 2 but DAMN it's pricey.
Both systems (VGCs and Online Licenses) have their own benefits, but they took away the ability to play with a friend who uses your account on their Switch. That was honestly so cool, but I'm surprised it took them so long to remove that feature. Because YES, it WAS a feature; they even had a dedicated article on the Nintendo website on how to do it. I knew they were going to remove it someday...
Wow... that's a lot more games than I thought. Every big 3rd party release will probably be like this, with the exception of the occasional company throwing us a bone, like CD Projekt Red for Cyberpunk. It's a sad reality.
I did get selected! I preordered the Switch 2 without Mario Kart bacause I want it physical. Obviously, AIN'T NO WAY I'm paying full price for it, so I've already preordered it from another retailer. So, I'm getting the Switch 2 and the GameCube controller from My Nintendo Store, and Mario Kart World from a retailer for €70. I think it's a pretty good deal. I figured I can get the rest (pro controller and micro SD) later on.
I don't really get the negativity in this comments section... If he wants to, why not? Seems kind of fun to watch tbh... Some of the people here behave like 60-year-olds yelling at clouds.
@LinktotheFuture Officially, yes, but the Pretendo team backed them all up and plans to add them to their private server in the future so that they'll be preserved. Awesome stuff.
Well, TECHNICALLY (🤓) there's a, like, "percentage" for your completion, though it only counts for the map. You would need to unlock every single icon on the map (shrines, Korok seeds, towers etc) AND every location name. Huh, alright. The side quests have a counter of their own (it's shown in the omonime screen in the menu) and there's around 90? I think? People often forget about Kilton's medals for defeating every mini-boss. Well... I sure haven't forgotten about them, I'll tell you that much...
I was on Scissors, and we were in the lead until the Tri-Color Turfs. Those really destroyed us, one should have to wait more time to be able to take an Ultra Signal... hope they make them a little fairer in the full release, but I understand that we were winning, so the other teams needed a way to catch up. But if we were winning, it means we deserved it, and the Tri-Colors should have been fair for everyone in my opinion. Still, solid start for the game, really had a blast with the Fest.
Earthbound and Beginnings were the highlights for me. I had never seen any gameplay nor knew the lore, so I went in totally blind. Needless to say, it was the right choice. I have always heard people praising these games, and looking at them I always thought they were the RPGs for me. So I waited and it was certainly worth it. Having a blast with them. Of course I could have emulated them or bought em on Wii U, but it didn't feel right.
I don't think the pacing being slow in some areas is a problem. Just the opposite, in fact! It makes the game last even more. I haven't finished it yet, but it sure feels this way for now. What an astonishing game, even 20 years later. Can confirm! I'm having a blast with it thus far!
I mean, if you could still buy 3DS games on Switch, then it wouldn't be a problem at all. The fact that you can't IS a problem, though. They're going to lock the entire 3DS library for the next decade, like they did with almost any other console. Disney Vault approach, basically. I hope you're satisfied, Nintendo. Cause we aren't.
I don't understand why they have postponed the bundle. With all these new blocks it would've fit really well, even though you can use shulkers inside ender chests. Well, still love the company though.
Even if I started my adventure with New Leaf, it sure was a great experience. Playing with friends on Tortimer's island was the funniest thing in the universe. What do I miss the most? My town. I put so much effort to it... to then just switch to New Horizons, to never see again all my hard work. It's sad to admit, but if I try to play it now, it just feels kinda obsolete. I'm so sad about that.
I bought my Switch for Christmas on 2017. Now, I play al lot. And I mean A LOT. But... aside from the cough cough Joy-Con drift, that's all pretty much OK: since I've heard about the dock scratching the screen, I have been super-careful. In fact, I didn't even buy the protective screen, and... not a scratch. Have I just been lucky? Maybe. But for now, my old pal is still on the road, and I think it will for another very long period of time.
Yeeeeeeeeeeeesss I've actually never gone to an E3, and you're saying that this year's FREE and ONLINE??? That's everything I could ever imagine! Let's see what Nintendo's been up to in these months...

@xenobladexfan Have you tried reporting it to Nintendo? Maybe they'll add it to the list if enough people report it.

Works wonders for koroks I guess. Though having them on the sheikah sensor would've been great.
Re: Feature: 11 Games With 'Secret' Performance Bumps You Should Revisit On Switch 2
@Rosona
To me it really wasn't. You know what else I've noticed while playing it on Switch 2? There was input lag on Switch, and a lot of it.
