Re: Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time Finally Lands New May Release Date

Solid_Python

So let me get this straight, they kept constantly delaying the game for Switch owners just so they could make it multiplat, now they announce a "Digital Deluxe Edition" that comes with 3 Day Early Access for literally every single new platform they announced - except Switch?

Is this some kind of joke?

Update:
Physical version is now canceled for the west and the game is now 10$/€ more expensive on Switch to subsidize the game going multiplat.

The absolute state of Level-5.

Re: Conan The Barbarian Joins Mortal Kombat 1's DLC Roster Next Week

Solid_Python

@TomSupreme yeah, its now at a much more playable state and looks significantly better than it did on launch. After all the patchwork Shiver has done i'd even go as far as to say that its a better port than MK11 was.

I suggest you to look up videos on it, several people always make them on MK1 Switch updates if you wanna see the difference yourself!

Re: New Capcom Survey Wants To Know Your Thoughts About MvC Fighting Collection

Solid_Python

Next brand new MvC game better come to a Nintendo platform after how much support we've shown to this collection.

I hate when devs do this kinda thing, they make a rerelease of a classic, it sells overwhelmingly the best on Nintendo and then they make a brand new game that releases on everything under the sun EXCEPT the Nintendo console cough cough Visions of Mana COUGH

Re: 'Hyperdimension Neptunia' & 'Death End' Switch Releases Scrapped For "Not Complying With Nintendo Guidelines"

Solid_Python

What is it with Nintendo trying to piss off literally every avenue of gamers online this year right before their next big console launch? First - everyone, from developers to players, are getting tired of them dragging the whole generation with their ancient Jurassic tablet this year, then the whole industry getting rilled up from Palworld and the whole lawsuit shinenanigans, taking down roms and emulators which rile up big youtubers to go against you(I understand them doing this, but it still creates a chunk of people yelling at them online) and now they're going after niche Japanese games again? I noticed this with some games recently like "Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Spring" being released on PS and skipping Switch in the US for no apperant reason but now it's becoming even more prevelant.

Neptunia games are so tame, they're rated T, why the hell would you block multiple games that are ready for release from a partner you were just showing off as "building relationships" with during your last investors meeting? I was waiting for proper Neptunia games to finally hit the Switch, I wanted to play the first 3 games and as soon as we're finally close to getting them - this BS happens, I can't play them anymore unless I go to different avenues like PC or PS Vita because Nintendo apparently wants to play my parent and tell me what I can and can't play. They allow literal garbage like AI picture hentai slop that gets rereleased every week yet real games get told to f&ck off.

Extremely dissapointed with this news and it's now a definite sour spot for the upcoming next generation of Nintendo.

Re: Talking Point: Can Sony And Microsoft Really Compete With Nintendo In A New 'Handheld War'?

Solid_Python

The problem with these 2 making handhelds is that idk who they're making them for besides their diehard consumers.

The reports and rumors are saying that both of these are being made to play the existing Playstation/Xbox libraries, they aren't gonna be some kind of unique devices.

And I hate saying this cuz i'm tired of hearing it as a Nintendo fan myself but if you wanted that today, you'd literally just get a PC handheld. They get Playstation and Xbox games already because they both release their games on PC.

If somebody wanted a portable Xbox/Playstation experiences, the market is already completely saturated with options for that. I already have my prefered portable console in Nintendo and I buy Playstation consoles alongside it as well. I don't really need a portable Playstation.

Re: Sony May Be Plotting A New PSP To Compete With Nintendo's 'Switch 2'

Solid_Python

@Toastmaster moot point, your Legion Go and Rog Ally play games that released on PS5 but they don't play them at PS5 equivalent settings/framerate/resolution and those are 800$+ PC handhelds you can tinker with, not locked down console ecosystem.

This is talking about PS5 games playing natively, meaning the already fully existing PS5 library on PSN rn without any changes to them. As in this handheld will just boot up and it plays all your PS5 games at the same settings, settings that need a monolith sized console.

You can say "well they'll just patch the games to lower settings and resolutions to fit them for this handheld" but that still doesn't make any sense and makes this claim even dumber. They'd need to patch literally thousands and thousands of games on PSN for "portable mode" meaning games that arent patched are more than likely gonna be blacklisted from being playable.

Do you see Sony doing that and going thru this long process in any conceivable way while also telling 3rd party devs to do that? For a more than likely niche device like this? Do I need to remind you about Playstation TV? Devs couldn't be bothered just turning off PS Vita features to whitelist their games, what makes you think they wanna go back and literally rebuild the PS5 games around this portable hardware and patch them for free?

Re: Palworld Developer Details Patent Infringement Claims From Nintendo's Lawsuit

Solid_Python

Y'all keep saying "it will affect all of gaming" yet Nintendo doesn't go after other monster catching games, this argument is so bad faith and just baseless fearmongering.

Now try and think why they're using patents to go after this ONE game all of a sudden? It couldn't be because it's a blatant copy of Pokemon design language to the point where everyone online called it "Pokemon with guns"? Naaaaaaaah, no way!

Think people.

Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Sonic X Shadow Generations

Solid_Python

@epicgamner alright that's fine and dandy but then why is early access thru Digital Deluxe edition available on every single platform yet Switch is excluded?

It's hilarious because Nintendo did get "early access" in a way with all the leaking of the Switch version online. I guess that's our early access lol

Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Sonic X Shadow Generations

Solid_Python

Giving out early review codes for only 1 specific platform is beyond stupid. I guess that Playstation check was really good and reached beyond just advertisement rights.

Whenever a publisher does the "you wont get a code until it launches" also makes me feel like they're trying to hide something, especially when it's a multiplatform release on Switch.

Re: Yakuza Kiwami Dev Confirms Physical Switch Release, Limited Run Distributing

Solid_Python

I'm so tired of these giant multi-billion dollar publishers cheaping out on making their own physical print runs and working with Limited Run instead.

It makes sense for Indie games to work with them and LRG was made for those indie games to have physical runs to begin with but now Sega, Microsoft, Konami, Capcom etc are all just doing this regularly and it's so slimy and such complete BS especially to people from other continents of the world.
