Re: "I'm Running On Fumes" - Digital Eclipse Is Scrambling To Address Issues With Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection

@Kwyjibo_Kitsune my guy, i've been playing classic MK for the past 20+ years, so I think I can tell the difference when it has input lag or not.

And no, i'm not "immobile like DarkSydePhil" like you're so desperate to claim, i'm playing the game like i've always played it for the past 20 years on original hardware and fightcade - doing air juggles and combo strings. No inputs of mine get dropped and i've already beaten MK1, 2, 3 and UMK3 arcade without any issues.

The problems are obviously hardware dependent, you just said it was miserable for you on PC but there's ton of reports of PC players who are long time MK oldheads having no problems on their end. Claiming that they're clueless and your experience is universal while suggesting "everyone else is just a blind shill that doesn't know how to play" is god damn stupid.

Also, online was literally a small blurb of 2 sentences and 10 seconds of gameplay in every trailer, 95% of the trailers runtime are about the documentary and games being preserved.

@Kwyjibo_Kitsune you don't even know if it has input lag, you're just parroting what internet told you. What's the point of you grandstanding as some consumer advocate if you haven't even played it yourself? The input lag issues are mostly on Playstation as was documented, i've been playing the Switch 2 version for 5 days already and had no problems with it.

This game was sold as a documentary/game preservation effort first, it's not an online EVO hub for tournaments. If you want that then wait for updates, the offline portion is great which is why people give it high ratings.

Re: Feature: "I've Been Brought Up By Final Fantasy" - Naoki Hamaguchi On Bringing The FFVII Remake Trilogy To Switch 2

@AussieMcBucket I kinda agree, I've already seen some people go "RE9 a miracle port for Switch 2"

No, it's launching on Switch 2 because we finally got enough power under the hood to get these big games on our platform day and date with others and 3rd parties wanna bring them to the broader Nintendo market(especially with Xbox going the way it goes rn).

We've kinda hit the plateau with visual fidelity and we're living in the diminishing returns era which Nintendo will only benefit from. Even calling something like RE9 a "port" is wrong, it's releasing on the same day as every other console!

Re: Review: Persona 3 Reload (Switch 2) - A Great Remake, But Still Not Definitive

@fenlix Star Wars Outlaws can't run on PS4 at all but it runs on Switch 2. Cyberpunk runs at 15fps on PS4 but it runs at 30fps on Switch 2 with higher resolution and textures. Sonic X Shadow Generations runs at 30fps on PS4 but 60fps on Switch 2. RE9 is gonna run on Switch 2 with raytracing but won't even exist on PS4.

Steam Deck can run this game at 50-60fps with concession, there's no excuse why it can't offer a performance mode on Switch 2 with the help of DLSS. Using PS4 is a barometer of what Switch 2 is capable of is wrong.

Re: Atlus To Address Persona 3 Reload's Switch 2 Frame Rate Hiccups In "Future Patches"

@Retrograde I never understand people like you "its the worst version" it's a freaking handheld hybrid, obviously it's not gonna run the same as the big giant coffins constantly connected to the power outlet, that's the trade off you get if you want a big AAA game on the go and it's a trade off a significant portion of players are willing to have.

If I remove my Switch 2 from a an electrical socket it still works and I can still play Cyberpunk on a smaller screen. Guess what happens to the PS5/Xbox version when I remove them from the socket?

Re: Feature: "We Have Absolutely No Intention Of Neglecting Her" - Persona 3 Reload Devs On FeMC And Porting To Switch 2

What an absolute copout of an answer regarding the framerate and framepacing.

They keep talking about how their main priority was graphical quality yet they're pushing out a 1080p image in both portable and docked mode that is barely any better than the base PS4. They didn't even keep RT reflections which were so basic that Switch 2 would have no problem running them.

They didn't do anything impressive as they try to paint it here for themselves, you didn't achieve some herculian effort like Star Wars Outlaws or Cyberpunk guys.
