Awesome numbers for Pirate Warriors 4 Switch. Musou/Warriors games tend to sell better on PlayStation, I was expecting around 70% of PW4 sales to be on PS4, instead it's almost 50/50.

I do wonder... If Animal Crossing hadn't released these weeks, could Pirate Warriors 4 Switch sales be even higher? Plenty of people may be buying the former instead of the latter, in case they can or want only to buy a Switch game.

On the other hand, perhaps all the Switch console sales pushed by ACNH are also helping PW4 Switch, aka, without the ACNH boost, PW4S probably wouldn't have sold as much.

Both are conjecture, who knows which if any could be the case.

Well, it's not yet another Baby/Fire/Whatever version of an existing character, that's commendable.

The lower sales could be explained by the game simply not being available at retail in many places, there's apparently a shortage of ACNH across the UK:

Already have a huge backlog, including games like Dragon Quest XI S, Tales of Berseria and Valkyria Chronicles 4, so I won't get PMD DX for now. May consider it in the future, though.

I don't see what's the big surprise regarding Persona 5 Scramble selling more in the console that the Persona series has been mostly associated with since the days of the first PlayStation.

If I remember correctly, other Musou games, such as Warriors Orochi 4, also have sold more on PS4 than on Switch, and yet Koei Tecmo keep bringing their Musou games to Switch, such as Pirate Warriors 3 and 4, Dynasty Warriors 8 and Persona 5 Scramble.

In Japan, they've also released Samurai Warriors 4, Spirit of Sanada, DW8 Empires and Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate on Switch. Sales must still be satisfying enough.

@Creature I agree. I barely play Super Mario Run and Dr. Mario World, when I'm at home with a stable Internet connection I may as well play actual Switch and PS4 games. I'd have tried FEH if it could be played offline on the go.

Now, before anyone keeps on demonizing Nintendo, remember that they did try a "pay once, everything unlocked" model with Super Mario Run. Didn't work well.

Mobile audiences are different regarding what and how they're willing to pay for their games.

As long as they keep this model to Mobile, away from consoles, there can be some peace.

Serious comment, I'm hyped for this. Mario and friends haven't had an official animation since the Super Mario World cartoon, I think. So glad to hear that Nintendo and Miyamoto are keeping a close eye on production this time.

Just played their Classic Mode and Spirit Board. Having played Three Houses, I like how the latter accurately represents the game's characters and several aspects of them really well.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore being already out gives me the sads. Pretty good game.
