UK chart data is now in for the week ending 22nd February, revealing that the top ten has remained mostly unchanged from last week.
Both Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Luigi's Mansion 3 remain in sixth and ninth places respectively, with the Switch version of Minecraft managing to leap up a couple of places into fifth. FIFA 20 is once again on top, followed by Call of Duty and the six-and-a-half-year-old GTA V in third.
The Bayonetta & Vanquish bundle available on PS4 and Xbox One also managed to debut in tenth.

Good to see Luigi's Mansion 3 holding on. If they did some single-player focused DLC I would probably bite because that was good fun. MK8 still seems to be the most evergreen Nintendo title.

@johnvboy Thats not the problem, i actually enjoyed COD some years ago (but never liked fifa cause i don't like football or soccer whatever u want to call it)
but the problem is, that fifa and cod are games that heavily feature microtransactions, for example Fifa Ultimate Team, which is a part of fifa which generates a lot of money for EA although Fifa is already a full priced game. and it is every year the same, EA releases a new full price Fifa and people spend tons of money on ultimate team
also i have to admit i dont know if this particulary cod has many microtransactions but past CODs definitly had some so i asume this one has also some
and seeing that those games featuring microtransactions sell so well is bad for the gaming industry imo
So the Sonic movie might have slightly influenced the top there.
@jarvismp Minecraft is biggest selling. Don’t know if that necessarily translates to time spent in charts would be assume it does.

@jarvismp I don't. I am not a racing games fan. I actually dislike them as well as all sports games.
BUT I am trying to find a used copy of Mario Cart for the Switch because it looks like a really fun relaxing game.
@jarvismp If GTA V isn't the longest record holder then I'll eat my hat. MK8 success is quite remarkable too though. Interestingly despite huge prolonged success neither of these two titles have sequels currently planned (that we know of)....

Luigis mansion 3 is so overrared. So repetitive and boring.

@Aldora I think Sonic Mania only got a limited retail release.
The Sonic movie really boosted Team Sonic Racing's sales. Awesome.
It's a good game, it just had the burden of releasing around the same time as Crash Team Racing.

To be fair 3, 4, 6, 8 and 9 are brilliant games. I really should get around to trying Sonic Racing. Again FIFA is disappointing and not as good as PES but putting that just makes me feel nostalgic for the PS2 era when PES was always far better but the masses bought FIFA 😀
Shopto have got a good digital sale on at the mo. Most first party Nintendo games for £36.

I am a little bit surprised by Luigis Mansion 3 still hanging in there. I wonder what has driven that success considering the Pokemon games left the top ten a while ago now.

Probably GTA 5 as that game has been in the top ten since before the release of the current gen systems and continues to go strong. Now if they would just give us a Switch port it could keep going a few more years.

I'm starting to wonder if people in the UK actually KNOW other games exist.
