@-wc- No, I mean like a game where the player has access to just one of Kirby's movesets. Eg. Shovel Knight doesn't have as many attacks with his shovel as Kirby gets with his sword. But for Kirby it's just one of many abilities in a rather easy game, where Shovel Knight only has the shovel. Or there was a GBA Dragon Ball game where Goku had a moveset similar to Kirby's Fighter, and the entire game was about that.

UFO is great, but I'm a big fan of Yoyo and Cutter. While Suplex makes me want to make my own game based around that. In fact one could make an entire game out of many Kirby's copy abilities.

Ironically it was the opposite for the first movie. In the American poster Sonic is running with a smile, in the Japanese poster he's standing in a determined pose and frowns.

For a while now my pick has been the opposite of #2: I take the one that becomes a big, tough monster. Now I started with Squirtle because I like turtles, but the fact that it becomes a tank really makes me love him. So this time I am thinking of going against my usual Water to get Fuecoco. In Sword I went with Rilaboom.

The outfits being similar makes me think of uniforms. Especially the hats. But people are saying the new region looks Spanish so it makes sense to wear a big hat.

I always like to look at more negative reviews. They tend to highlight things like technical issues more and give less of a pass for things that may be not to everyone's taste - like the slow pace and more story than gameplay in this example.

@Alienfreaks04 There is a certain disconnect between the characters and the scenery which seems iffy. And epic, deep storylines always seem a bit diminished by chibi characters.

Now that it's out I am a bit more on the fence aabout it. The lengthy cutscenes in the demo left a bad impression on me. And now I read the entire game is like this. Sorry, but frontloading a game with either inconsequential or pretentious narrative is a big turn off for me. The game must grab my attention first.

Wasn't Funimation the company that made weird changes to dubs, like adding GamerGate references out of nowhere?

Graphics look a bit meh. Which is a big downside for a game advertising itself as eye-candy.

I will be busy at that time stressing out my D&D group with a certain vampire, but these generally aren't as interesting as the generic Directs.

I have seen the Mothership kickstarter, but I haven't seen how it actually plays (hopefully not like Dungeons & Dragons; as much as I like the system it has some glaring flaws that make it little more than an introduction to RPGs).
But with how the Switch game works I would expect some kind of a complex board or card game instead. To preserve that "mission control" feel.

@Anti-Matter Success always creates imitators. And the 2D Zelda template is pretty simple to replicate with modern software.

Steam has a game called "Sex with Hitler" in full explicit glory in their catalogue. They better have a damn good reason to delist anything.

On one hand cool, on the other I'm not sure I want to support Crunchyroll specifically. They do some stuff I disagree with, like adding American politics in translation. As a non-Yank I am allergic to those.

@Half-ShellHero Almost everyone in Hollywood is "woke", if only for self-preservation and to hide their own abuse. An actor or a director having a political opinion doesn't automatically mean they will insert it into their works. I have enjoyed plenty of entertainment created by people whose politics I find absolutely baffling. Don't get fooled into believing everything is political, that way lies misery.

@Half-ShellHero I didn't see anything particularly woke about it, unless you mean the creators seemingly having no idea which IP they're using (and particularly caring about it). None forced diversity into a story about carroon chipmunks noted.

I never finished Link to the Past so I am playing it this weekend. I try to not use guides, but that game becomes hard to figure out after Dark Palace.

Live A Live reveal has to be the biggest thing, even if the game is a little obscure. It was kind of a prototype for Chrono Trigger and what Octopath wanted to be. A truly unique game in its genre. If Toby Fox had a hand in this (Megalovania is directly inspired by Megalomania from Live A Live), that man is a hero.
I wager no other JRPG in this direct will be even half as good or unique.

Yeh, I like Chrono Trigger but never cared to try Chrono Cross. This doesn't change my mind.

I always want Nintendo to simply surprise me. Although if they announced Master of Magic remake for the Switch it would be baller.

I've heard a theory that NFTs are basically a shell game designed to avoid tax. With so many video game companies getting into them I'm starting to think that may be the case.

All I would really want would be Symphony of the Night on a platform I own (either Switch or PC) and a game about the 1999 war. Otherwise I would rather they leave it alone and have other studios tackle the subject. We don't need Konami and we don't need more of the same. Even Metroid probably wouldn't rank that high in a "best metroidvania" list, there's so many good ones.

You know, some kind of AR functionality on Pokemon cards would be cool. But I think not that many phones support this, which is why AR Lego sets failed.

@jagetron Because why shouldn't they? Also maybe they wanted to avoid Banner Saga's issues, where not that many people realized 2 came out because the devs didn't crowdfund the sequel.

I didn't even know Kao was on Dreamcast, I thought his games were PC exclusive, being made in Poland when console base was pretty marginal.
I knew a new Kao game was in the works, but all I remember seeing previously was the character design. Looks more like Crash Bandicoot than his older self, who had more of a Yoshi vibe.

This was great. One of those simple but brilliant games. Too bad the new version of Deluxe Ski Jumping sucks.

@Pod I bought Settlers 2 10th Anniversary edition when that edition itself was 10 years old. I don't buy this "it was an anniversary thing so it's ok to kill it" argument. Especially when it's popular and a good advertisement for NSO.

Well, I was already into MtG when YGO arrived, but as it's free I may try it out. Card games are my jam.

@Solomon_Rambling People are complaining about a lot of things for stupid reasons. E.g. Tabletop Simulator lost global chat because a troll made it look like the word filter is homophobic (and was somehow slapped with the "transphobic" label for no reason during that). Or the Diversity Day episode of The Office US was removed from TV circulation because Michael Scott was horribly racist in it while trying hard not to be racist (maybe that one hit too close to home for some "anti-racists").
So yeah, maybe Pandemic is being pulled simply because it's a game about a pandemic. Never mind that the players are supposed to stop it. I remember playing it once (physical version) and I think to win the game one must develop a vaccine and a cure, so conspiracy theorists could say that the game promotes an idea that vaccines alone are not good enough. But I may be misremembering.

Well, this will either encourage scammers more or bring more attention to the problem. Ironically those cards are probably worth a lot more now that Logan Paul touched them.

I just hope it's not planned as a Switch successor system seller. I still haven't bought Mario Kart and now I'm waiting for news on this one.
