SEGA has announced that Sonic the Hedgehog's Tails is set to become a Vtuber (that's 'virtual YouTuber', granddad) with a new series called 'TailsTube' starting next week.

The series will be "fun and informative" and will likely focus on the history of the Sonic franchise, characters, and specific games. It's unlikely any major announcements will be made through the series, but we've seen stranger things!

Tails will be voiced by Colleen O’Shaughnessey in what will be the first English-voiced Sonic Vtube series. It's not, however, the first time SEGA has experimented with the format. For Sonic's 30th anniversary, the blue hedgehog himself became a Vtuber, albeit for only a short while. It looks like TailsTube is set to be a more long-term endeavour, though.

Will you be watching TailsTube when it debuts with Miles Prower at the helm? Are you looking forward to Sonic Frontiers? Let us know in the usual place.
