Exciting news, JoJo fans! Bandai Namco has announced JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle R. It's a remaster of the 2013/14 game and will include 50 characters from all arcs of the series.

The character styling stays true to the manga artist Hirohiko Araki, and the voice actors from the anime series will return.

In terms of gameplay, this new version introduces a revamped and improved combat system - upping the tempo with hit stops, dashes and intricate new combos. There's an all-new "support attack" tag-team battle system as well.

Game modes include arcade, online, versus, practice and gallery. The main mode offers more than 100 different battles, and the game will also include a range of customisable and collectible skins, along with unique illustrations that players can unlock.

Here's a history lesson for anyone not familiar with the source material:

"First introduced in 1987 and adapted to anime in 2012, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is best known for its charismatic heroes who drop unforgettable catchphrases and perform over-the-top moves as they pummel each other using martial arts and supernatural skills. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle R is the biggest game ever in the franchise, bringing together 50 characters from every story arc. Players can experience popular battles from each story and see heroes from different universes interact for the first time, playing as Jonathan Joestar, DIO, Jotaro Kujo, Jolyne Cujoh, daughter of Jotaro and the first-ever female JoJo in the series, and many more."

This upcoming fighter from Bandai Namco will arrive on the Nintendo Switch and multiple other platforms in "early Fall" 2022. Is this a game you'll be checking out on release? Tell us down below.
