Not sold on the fairy companion but still one of the games i am looking forward to the most this year regardless.
The HD 2D goes so well with it.
Wonder if the past actually changes the future like in dq7.
@Tyranexx The field skills were my only gripe. They could work torna into the basegame. Ideally you would play that after chapter 7 for maximum impact. Some additional non waifu blades in the style of Roc or Wulfric would definitely help too.
Still at the store. While i applaud Nintendo for trying something different, this was too jank voor my tastes. That said, i am also not 5 so there is that.
Wich was to be expected. It has been out for years on other platforms. Most people who wanted it have it by now. It will just be a slow trickle as people slowly adopt more switch 2's. It also means sales soon are more likely
@EarthboundBenjy
Luckily they don't actually own some of the IP's.
Microsoft owns Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon while Nintendo owns The Last Story.
There may still be hope for a remaster/port by third party devs.
Especially after the succes of e33.
Just please, don't let Aspyr sully them.
A 6/10 compared to the original 10/10 score is a bit harsh. This makes it seem like the game itself is bad. A lot of people just look at the score after all. Something like 8/10 seems more rational.
Really? An issue over this? I did packaging and promo material for events for years until over a decade ago and let me tell you, we already photoshopped damn near everything and used the tools to do it rather than painstakingly draw the pixels ourselves. People didn't cry then and it was also a one man job just like it is now if you were to use AI. if anything it takes more time to edit prompt after prompt until you finally get it how you want. Nobody lost work here.
No. I almost exclusively use my switch 2 in docked mode along with a switch-2 pro controller. There is just no going back to joy-cons for me. Not because they are awful but the pro controller is just so damn good.
I'm probably in the minority but i actually prefer the Nintendo ones. I just like a slick and sexy device. The Dbrand version looks more like a toy to me. Love how quickly they came up with this though.
Already intended on getting it. it's going to be the ps5 version though. Would have loved to get it on switch 2 but it's a game i see myself replaying a lot over the years and gkc just isn't going to cut it for that.
@StarCollector I'd love a Xenoblade warriors game. It would be awesome to have "living maps" and generals fusing together temporarily into superbeings.
@Don Metroid only had a very short window in wich eshop sales were possible. It's also pretty niche. My guess is it probably would have hit spot 18-20 or something if it had more time to sell.
@Sylamp
That's unfortunate but i can understand nintendo not wanting to get flooded by complaints over issues that are actually on the userside (tv that doesn't support it)
That said, i'd still take 40fps non vrr over 30.
Just curious. Why don't they do say a 40-50 fps limit if 60 is too unstable? VRR has become very commonplace and someone who can buy a switch 2 likely has at least a 400 bucks tv with it from the past what? 5 years? Plus the built in screen supports it too. Cyberpunk did it just fine.
PC: Anno 177 Pax Romana, Europa Universalis V PS5: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (would absolutely double dip) Switch 2: Metroid Prime 4. Might pick up Raidou again too. Never played beyond the tutorial due to getting distracted by other releases.
I'd give it an 8. The device is what i wanted. Faster than the PS4 speed rumors before launch. Backwards compatibility is great. largely due to games running better than ever. I wouldn't call the exclusives disappointing games but for me none of them feel like the best in their IP.
Of course. Just got the shipping confirmation. While i don't like the bike, everything else looks amazing. Can't wait to explore those beautiful environments.
No nintendo flavor and regular controls, no sale. They could have done so many things with this like playing in the mario mountains, a match inside bowsers castle etc to make it just slightly less dull. Hell, i'd take monstertruck wheels powerups at this point.
Switch 2: Dragon Quest II HD 2D remake, Tomb Raider Definitive Edition and maybe some Coromon. If only gamefreak gave us another classic style pokemon game. PS5: Probably nothing PC: Anno 117: Pax Romana and Europa Universalis V.
@AndyRogan Too bad custom rules aren't a thing for switch/switch 2 it seems meaning you can't apply that. It's why i immediately put it down after getting it cheap. Hopefully that will finally change the coming updates.
Switch 2: Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, Yooka-Replaylee and maybe some Achilles Survivor (much better than expected) PC: Europa Universalis V and Super Fantasy Kingdom PS5: Persona 3 Reload
I don't play NES at all. Never owned one so have no nostalgia for it and most games are just a tad too basic for my liking. SNES is where gaming starts getting great for me.
The only real controversy is the gamekeycards and many will just get those digital instead of skipping the games. Could just install from a cartridge to maintain true phys if the speeds are an issue but devs like to ***** people into believing the gamekeycards are a necessary thing. It's not. not for this many of the games. You can compress a lot more if it doesn't have to run directly. People had to be pointed to the screen to even realise it. It's perfectly fine for actual usage. I use mine almost every day. It's faster than i expected it to be and it running switch 1 games so much better is just fantastic.
Maybe but i wasn't in a rush to pre-order it. i have absolutely 0 hype for it (partially the fault of scarlet/violet). Just feels wrong to not have it in the collection.
About 60-100 a year right now but to be fair, i didnt jump into the switch and ps5 platforms until 2023 and just caught up on the library i otherwise would have collected over time. Considering i am caught up now, it's likely to slow down to like 3-5 games a month.
I will not be playing or getting anything in regards to virtual boy. I have no nostalgia for it and the color palette is offputting. Not to mention the impractibility of using the device. Just give us updated versions of the games with actual colors so it feels more SNES. Now that i would play.
Halftruth. It could have still had all necessary files on a cartridge that installs it without the need for the eshop or online altogether. Sure you wouldn't save on storage space but at least preservation remains intact.
