Oh don't do this to me Nintendolife. I am tempted to pick up a €50 voucher and the Age of Calamity season pass. Maybe even Famicom Detective Club. Not sure on that one yet.
Still no canada store ahh? Little disappointed.
Couple of days late. I was trying to use the code last week and noticed the discount wasn't currently available. I bought Nintendo Online vouchers so I already saved 10€ buying Xenoblade but another 10% off would've been nice.
Oh well, I can still use this deal to buy some 3DS/WiiU games I'm missing. These discounted eShop cards have been really nice for that.
"We're feeling generous" === "We want to make affiliate money from your gaming addiction."
Not that I'm really complaining. Saving money is always a good thing
@mjco231 Basically a 10% sale on digital games by extension.
YOU GUYS HAVE A STORE?!
@mjco231 It does feel kinda weird, don’t it?
US shop is so limited, 10, 25, 50, I'm kind of surprised you guys even bothered.
Ok there's a few Xbox things as well, but nothing for Playstation. I guess it's a start.🤷
Nintendo life has a store?
I'd buy if the store supported Apple Pay or PayPal, but I don't throw credit card numbers around to every random web store online any more.
I can’t support this
What's up with these stores? Switchup and Switchcorner have identical websites.
Also, very limited store, just a few countries available and no new additions are in sight
@ryancraddock I was thinking of picking up some discounted points, but after trying last night and again this morning, it looks like the checkout portion of the site might be having issues.
(Also, it looks like the PC section of the website is labelled 'EA' for some reason.)
@shinesprite I decided to give it a go, this lot has been kind enough to never ban me after 12+ years, and I also had problems trying to get my credit card through. My credit card company sent me an email and I had to call them to let a $9 purchase go through. Used that same card to pay a $750 hospital bill earlier in the day, no email about that, but $9 was too much on a dodgy named website like famehype. 🤑
I also had a problem creating an account b/c it didn't like my password. At no point, even if you click on the little I info button, does it tell you the requirements include a number and a few other things. What's the point of having an account FAQ if they don't tell you that in advance?🤷
Definitely a site run by first time amateurs, it will probably be short lived. But I did my part, and saved a buck. And if anything won't appears on my cc I know EXACTLY who to blame.😂
I figured since I was about to throw down $60 on Splatoon 3, I may as well save $6 in the process and get the double gold points for pre-ordering while I'm at it.
Unfortunately it wouldn't let me complete the transaction. I re-entered everything more carefully but I'm not sure where the problem is coming from. I know I've bought eShop credits from this site before and I didn't have any issues last time.
I'm honestly more salty about not being able to provide commission fees to NL for the affiliate links than I am about paying the extra $6.
Your store is broken. It gives me a payment error each time and I've tried two different cards with it
Told me at checkout that payment is not available in my state… shouldn’t all of the US be available because of universal credit cards like visa?
@rjejr I'm glad to hear that it wasn't just me.
Working in software, I've come to realize that the people behind the tech matter a lot more, and from my past 12 years of using Nintendolife, I believe that the site is run by a well-intentioned & passionate team who are mostly just interested in sharing their love of (Nintendo-focused) video games.
Anyways, I tried again during my lunch break and this time it worked! (..but it was strange that by bank needed me to approve the transaction. +1 for PayPal support next time.)
I tried earlier to use the site and had problems, in the end it said the payment didn't go through but then I got a message from my bank asking me to confirm the transaction even though the website said it didn't go through, I cancelled the transaction as I had a feeling my money was going to disappear somewhere, and I would have been left with no codes.
@shinesprite That's what happens when you name your e-commerce website company "famehype", banks don't trust you. 😂
running a fanboi gaming website <> running a business website
@shinesprite Just looked at my online statement and the $9 for the $10 eShop credit was billed to "GameZcode". Nothing says "I'm legit" like putting a big capital Z where the "s" the should be. I hope the 20 weed shops opening near me have better billing names than that. They really can't open soon enough.

@rjejr Well on my side they showed up as a fund transfer instead of an online purchase.
Jankiness aside, the codes were processed in mere seconds, I was able to redeem them, and I only got billed 90% of the usual value.
@ryancraddock Thanks again for the savings Nintendolife (well-timed with the 3DS/Wii U eShop closures ), and I look forward to more sales/specials like this as you build-out your online marketplace.
@shinesprite Good point, it did work, eventually, code came right quick and worked. Wouldn't go thru the effort and nonsense for full price though. If I didn't need $9 for the XC3 expansion pass - I had $20 and some gold points in my account - I wouldn't have bothered. But savings is savings.
@ryancraddock
Any plans on expanding to Canada?
Nice, might need some Switch or Xbox codes sometimes. I was able to pay with my foreign cards on the stores last time I tried though so not sure how much I need this if the 10% off is not active.
@rjejr must be completely outsourced with a cut for NL but I do agree that FameHype and GameZcode are trash tier business names which sound like scams, heheh.
(Doesn't make it a bad service by any means but since my bank blocked my first IndieGoGo transaction couple of years ago, this might do the same. If I use this, I'll go with the smallest purchase first to try to skip contacting the bank.)
@Chronon Just reread the thread, it was short and half the comments were mine, and I don't think I'd use their service again, even though it worked, I'm inherently lazy and paranoid more than I am cheap.
Last week I bought two $50 eShop cards on Newegg - they're kind of big online PC retailer here in the US, don't know if you would have heard about them in Finland - for $90. Used the $100 to buy the Switch vouchers for Zelda TotK and Pikmin 4. So I'll take an extra step to save some $, but w/ a company I trust, even w/ an oh so stupid name like NewEgg. Still don't like the name, but they've been around for 20 years. We'll see if GameZcode and Famehype are still around in 2042.🤷♂️
