@ThatOneLevel when you really think about it, breaking it down to verticle slice, Diana would just be an additional moveset. it's more like 1.5 characters because they decided to give a mechanic a face
@ottoecamn Well, compared to the complains against the industry about female characters as of late, at least she doesn't look bad. Not my type, but eh, I'm not that selfish
@axelhander I think we went over this before, but this same argument is treating robots in the same way as humans should be treated. They are not human, not even in how they are wired.
Inspiration is not the same as stealing art to train a robot to mash all of the assets together. They have no will of their own either.
@MathByThePixel The last entry was 3 years ago, in an overcrowded subgenre in our day and age, in a series that isn't considered the hardest games in the world. I don't think we need to over extend "difficulty options" as a crutch for a less polished experience. We already had the lack of confidence shown in "difficulty options" this year in Doom Dark Ages alone.
@MathByThePixel It arguably does not. We have damn hard games still selling well. And vice versa too. They are deliberately designed, and that's why they appeal
@Charlirnie depends on what you're looking for. They are both familiar games to each other with shared mechanics (I mean, Starforce is the sequel) That said, Starforce may be a tad more challenging due to limited movement whereas EXE uses a 3x6 grit split in half. Starforce uses 3D during battles too, so it might be a bit more of a spectacle. It's also a bit more "tokusatsu hero" than the EXE games They're both fun of course
i can understand Godzilla (or Gojira for the cultured ) because Toei can be like that when it comes to games but why Miku?!
I know Sega doesn't own Miku, but at this point, she's practically a Sega character
@KociolekDoSyta Well like I said, a PS2 copy is in the wild for relatively cheap. If I like the demo, I'm buying that instead!
btw, I hear Onimusha Warlords is only censored if you buy the western version. If you buy a Japanese copy, which will still includes English, you'll still get the full horrific experience. I'm not one for horror, but I'll bear with it if it means seeing the true artistic intent
Don't F%&k IT UP, DON'T DO ANYTHING STUPID, DON'T CENSOR ANYTHING!
FFS, NAMCO! GET IT RIGHT!!!
i don't rush to play Tales games, admittedly. But Berseria, Berseria is special to me and I want it on my shelf after the PC version moved me from start to finish
@calbeau You're only saying that so you don't have to tackle everything else I said tackling what you said. Nothing more than a coward's approach to debating, so don't think this is gonna work on me. You don't seem to know how invalidating via ad hominin actually works then if you're serious about this.
When people say "karen" they have a specific type of person in mind. And lo and behold, that's what other people were seeing in ya. If that's an insult then ya need to look in the mirror for once, buddy.
@calbeau "inappropriateness"
Oh bloody hell, stop being a bloody karen.
You say you're a father right? The surely you yourself must remember how "active" you were as a teen, with memories of the kind of content aimed at teens.
The moment you advocate for silencing anybody because you don't like what they make or say is the moment you're gonna have the average joe working against you because they know what comes after. needless to say, going "censorship bad, except for the thing I don't like" isn't gonna win you any points with anybody
Trying to paint this as a moralist dilemma isn't gonna work because we're already aware how much of the morals are phoney and rely heavily on weaponized empathy.
@steely_pete Trust me, some japanese politicians are noticing. Zkurishi being one of them. That said, he's not a particularly high ranking politician, so he proposes and highlights what he can within his power
@the_beaver you can hack your save file for the Witcher to make it run at a higher framerate. I recall hearing it's just the PC settings file turned into a switch save. I'll leave you to look that up
@sportymariosonicmixx In practice, the vast majority are. But some are just not gonna work because of hardware requirements, like the Fit Ring, or because there is a contractual reason like Netflix. The only other games that have issues are ones that rely on specific emulation software, which isn't going well with the Switch 2's own emulation layer
@NotASockPuppet That's why I didn't like it as much and why there's a slow, decaying apathy for the game in the fandom (last I checked). The fact that the game is so basic when everyone else already has played the first 3 (4?) games is why it feels pretty dull. Serviceable, but nothing more compared to other Sonic games, 2D or 3D, that aren't afraid to be loud and brash arcade games.
It's nostalgia poisoning a series, if you will.
That's why 2D Sonic is seen as second class now instead of the old GameCube days where you could argue the games were neck and neck.
@Dr_Lugae The problem is that 2D sonic was making progress in the handheld space. By the DS, it was telling its own stories and having its on spin on things.
But people around the late 00s were pretending like the games after sonic 3 were all sh|te and so the 2D games started regressing, cutting out mechanics that gave the games personality until we ended up with Sonic Mania.
Now, you may like Sonic Mania, but as a kid of the GameCube era onwards, I liked it when I saw Sonic progress and add new mechanics that would even become staples. So you can imagine what I think of Sonic Mania when we jump from the dazzle of Sonic Rush Adventure back to the basicness of the genesis and stayed there. It was a symptom of a greater problem
I liked Frontiers. Was a really zen game when it wasn't a rush. Recall the album for the game being titled "stillness and motion" and honestly, I can't think of anything better to what the charm of the game is
I dunno how that's wrong in what I said. I definitely skipped some steps, but yeah, even companies behind generative AI have gotten in trouble for buying a bunch of copyrighted material to train their tech on for the purpose of replication.
@Woshiernog Your brain doesn't steal art. It remembers it, both practically (to the best of its ability) and emotionally, and replicates it to your own personality traits, a snapshot into your mind
GenAI just takes it, saves it as accurately as a copy of a file on PC and then mashes it all together to create a fake image based on prompts
@DTFaux I just respond with "no tool is suppose to replace it's wielder"
Recently got booted from a subreddit mod list because the only mod there was an AI bro and he argued this exact same thing. Meanwhile I just wanted some quality control....
@Wexter "Hey guys we're going to delay this fan favorite release so we can slaps the 2nd game in, increase the price and it's a game a good 1/3 of you don't even like!
How is that pro-consumer!"
It's almost like delaying a release to be complete is actually pro-consumer! (not that Xillia has any water to hold with it's censorship removing and altering content to the point of getting Japanese politicians talking but I digress)
@Wexter Mario galaxy 1+2 was a game with a worse deal than the last Mario collection. 3 games arguable 20 bucks each, vs 2 games, one of which was in the previous collection, for 35 bucks each at cheapest.
Notice how dumb that sounds to a consumer? That they have to buy the same game at a higher price?
now, lets put that into perspective with Xillia. 2 games separately for 100 bucks, or 2 games bundled together for 50 bucks.... which one sounds like the better deal...
again, see how dumb this sounds?
People aren't made of money, so please, stop mocking people for thinking the money isn't worth it when their finance situation makes it so they can't buy as many games. I already mention that some people avoid digital games for a reason. You might be better off, and good for you, or you don't care about the ownership of your games, but others aren't in that situations

Better be a proper switch 2 card
Re: Xbox Is Bringing Another Game To Switch 2 In 2026
@Sindayl I have Killer Instinct on PC as is. The complete version on Steam as opposed to the newly properly released F2P version.
I think I have room to ask
Re: Xbox Is Bringing Another Game To Switch 2 In Spring 2026
And still no Killer Instinct

@Solid_Python uh, he did. Twice. One of which was a stripped back port of Tekken 6

Still seems solid, but go in with caution

yeah, these games are showing an eerily similar throughline than "the game has a security bug"
