@garydbz25 Unfortunately not. All DLC characters need to be bought in-game, and Smash amiibo simply give you a "sparring partner" to battle with or against. So I guess you kind of get him in the game, but you yourself won't be able to play as him, no. Hope that helps!

Decent, at best. It surprisingly keeps me hooked (no pun intended), but it's still just so...meh! There's a lot of grinding for sure, and its presentation and constant rewards keep you somewhat enticed, but it's just too bad you can't physically control the Karp's jumps. I'll pick it up now and again, but I'm sure I'll drop it soon.

EDIT: After a Pidgeotto swooped in on my Caleco Karp, I'm hooked. This game is actually quite addictive - but no money will be spent on it whatsoever. Whatsoever.

@Dizzard I thought that too, but I guess sometimes you need to have it in front of you to realise that's the guy/gal you want! E.g. I've always wanted Knuckles/Bomberman/Ken, but when I saw a mention of Sceptile and how he fits in from a Poké Starter standpoint, I became attached to the idea!

Completely missed Golden Sun's Isaac as including Binding's Isaac threw me off due to thinking I had included them both! Oh well - it's too late to add him now, but there's always the "Other" field

I dabble with GO here and there now. I've almost completed the 1st Gen Pokédex, and have made some great leaps within 2nd Gen, but I definitely do not have the motivation or time to go out of my way to play it anymore. It's more of a "let's see what's up" kind of experience for me, so I'll open the app now and again depending on my location and general convenience.

Consider me a fan. Something as "out there" as this is exactly what the franchise desperately needed, and the fact that you can customise your animal hero increases replayability. I think it's awesome!

I usually go for a tee bundle when it comes to pre-orders, but I just can't imagine myself rocking this, so I'm sticking with the Boo and Feather mugs. Managed to nab both mugs in one as I pre-ordered MK8 Deluxe a while back, so it's added both mugs in by default.

Still though, kudos to Nintendo for acknowledging the viral meme and turning it into product!

Call it an enhanced port or whatever, but Ninty have done a great job of remarketing MK8 for the Switch. The JP website is fantastic, and the game's new modes, characters, items, and overall layer of gloss is enough for the double dip. This is THE definitive Mario Kart experience.

I got mine through the daily grind of scanning in all my amiibo. I've got the entire Time and Wind sets (hat, tunic, and trousers), but only need the tunic from the Hero and Twilight sets. Didn't know you could also get them within the game without the need of amiibo though!

Amazing news. Super happy to have read this. Great way to bounce back from the abysmal (yet underrated) Wii U. Hopefully Ninty's next console doesn't continue the successful-unsuccessful pattern that they've had since the N64.

Ah! I was excited until I read that you can't register it. It's a cool addition to the game, but seems pointless overall. It's like catching a Legendary Pokémon and not being able to use it again after your first battle with it, or something like that.

(Then again, I never really used Legendaries...)

If I can pick these all up organically throughout the duration of all the game's DLC, great. If not, I'm definitely not bothering.

Hmm, this was a toughy to click on. I didn't know if the Master Sword was completely an optional pickup or if it indeed make its way into Link's hands in a determined segment of the game - had I not succumbed to reading this, I could've ended up missing it entirely. Excited for a lot of these games, but at the same time I'm getting impatient for Smash Bros. to be announced for the Switch. For this reason alone, my Wii U will remain connected for business as usual!

So excited! I had a go on it at the Switch event, and it was a catch 22 as I both wanted to play it as much as possible as well as refrain from spoiling too much.

On a side note, can anyone help me find any BotW amiibo online (UK)? I thought I had pre-ordered them, but turns out I completely forgot :/

I'll echo a thousand voices, but this is what the app should've been at launch. I logged in today, marvelled at the overall polish, caught myself a Hoppip, and then closed the app. Gen II is my fave gen, and I was so excited for this day way back last summer, but I'm afraid it's just all too late. I just can't see myself having this app open in my commutes or going out of my way for it anymore. Sadly, this'll be a wave I'll probably choose to miss

Such a shame. I was so hyped for this in 2016. Too late now, with the Switch around the corner and all...

Plus FE Heroes!

I'm loving FE Heroes, the amount of unlockables and characters to summon have got me hooked. Just nabbed a 5* Marth yesterday too

But if it costs to equip skills and training battles are double the stamina, I'll probably lose interest fairly quickly.
