Biggest snubs from this list: Tactics Ogre Reborn, Fire Emblem Engage and Fell Seal. In my opinion they are much better than most of the listed titles.
@Pillowpants I'm buying their games that do things the right way, for instance The Lost Crown or the Jedi games. And I ignore their casinos disguised as videogames, like FIFA/EA FC. Microtransactions wouldn't exist if people where smart enough to avoid them.
Kingdom Battle was unique. Sparks of Hope was like Kingdom Battle, but worse and more expensive. That's what happens when you decide to do a sequel to milk the success of the first game rather than creating something new like you did with the first one...
No OLED no buy (sung to "No Woman No Cry" tune). It's hard to go back to LCD, both my Switch and my Vita are the OLED versions. If you think there is little difference between LCD and OLED, then it's time to change your glasses.
@Dirty_Croc Thanks for the suggestion, they're on my wishlist for some time now, both on Steam and the eShop. I might get them this time, just have to assess the damage on my budget by today's Steam Winter Sale...
@SwitchVogel Which are your personal favorite TRPG's by the way? I'm a sucker for this genre and I'm curious if I missed any hidden gem while building up my collection.
@dartmonkey Fair enough, I love the game but I can see how some of its parts could be annoying for some: lack of difficulty options, graphics, extensive tinkering with each unit, buff cards on the battlefields, level caps, etc...
But still, you're wrong @SwitchVogel! 😜
@dartmonkey Is Tactics Ogre Reborn being absent from the list an oversight or really intended? It's probably the most influential TRPG together with Final Fantasy Tactics and easily one of the best ever as well.
@jojobar We all have a limited amount of money and time to spare, so obviously there will be good games that we won't be able to play. Plus some genres are niche so it's even harder to sell beyond certain figures. But in general we play games to have fun, if a game is not as good as what the competition releases the sale numbers will suffer. ZAU was not even close to POP The Lost Crown in terms of metroidvania exploration and combat. You can blame Fortnite, sure, its easier than looking in the mirror and admit your own shortcomings...
His game wasn't that good either, and I hate online multi-player games like Fortnite... Ultimately if your game is good it will sell well (Baldur's Gate 3, Dead Cells, Hollow Knight, etc...).
@Coalescence "Expanded campaigns from the 2022 game and its 2023 update offer dozens of unique battles. Conquer all story biomes in about 10 hours, then track your progress and go for 100% with about 30 hours to complete."
The base game on the 3DS was unfinished, the devs had to rush it to release it before the 3DS eShop shut down. They later released a free DLC which was actually the intended base game had they got more time to release it on their own terms.
It's unfair to call it a scam whether you like the game or not.

Re: 'The Hundred Line' Dev Too Kyo Games Is Still "On The Brink Of Going Under"
I tried the demo on Steam but it's not a game for me. I found the characters and dialogue too cringe and the tactical battles are way too simplistic.

Re: A New Turn-Based Tactics Star Wars Game Has Been Announced
@Pillowpants Jedi Fallen Order and Jedi Survivor had none of that, so there's still hope even with EA.
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Direct Predictions - What Do You Want To See?
A Fire Emblem would be nice.
Re: Nintendo Direct Confirmed For Tomorrow, 27th March 2025
It makes sense, they want to keep announcements separate for Switch 1 and 2. I wonder what they'll shadow-drop tomorrow...
Re: Feature: "If The Game Does Not Sell Well, We May Be Done" - It's Do Or Die For Too Kyo Games & 'The Hundred Line'
There's an extensive demo on Steam for people who are curious about the game and want to give it a shot for free.

Re: Poll: What Switch Game Could You Not Live Without?
It's hard to pick only one, voting for Triangle Strategy just because it deserves to get at least one vote.

Re: 98 Games You Should Pick Up In Nintendo's 'Play On' eShop Sale (Europe)
Few Disgaea titles on sale as well, and Child of Light.
Re: Nintendo Shuts Down Live-Action Zelda Fan Film, 'Lost In Hyrule'
They are using an IP they don't own without permission. I don't understand how they think it's fair to do so. Same applies to people defending them.

More microtransactions is what they meant.

Re: The Entire Tales Of Kenzera: Zau Team Has Been Put On Redundancy Notice
@Friendly
I don't think it's a matter of release date, the game simply wasn't that good compared to other metroidvanias.
SBI is also not a factor in my opinion, there are plenty of great games where SBI was involved and still sold like hot cakes.

Hope the rumored remaster is really happening.
