They have missed out the bad news, there will be no NPC's, as reportably they attempted to join an NPC union and were all sacked as a result. I know what your thinking, its such a wild story it couldn't possibly be true, even in the wild west.
Everyone seems so excited about Indy. I played it on gamepass, and sadly it bored me to tears, gave up about 7 or 8 hours in. Chronos is the only one of this list that I am fairly stoked for. Batman might be fun as well, but that's a fair while away.
"Beautiful and high-quality material throughout" From the picture it looks like it has been run over by a car 20 times. I guess thats the look they are going for, but beautiful isn't the word I would have used. The magnet and slimline approach I do like though.
It isn't the best decision to say this to your potential market before the games gets released, but really he's not wrong. The price of games in the UK has barely changed since the 80s, when the price of everything else has more than quadrupled. I only pay full price for games I really love or am excited for, everything else I wait for sales. I am more than happy to pay the price for B4.
Not played X yet, but I've already pre-ordered. For the ones I have played, best to worst: 1,2,3. I seem to be in the minority out there, but I would go as far as to say I was bored through most of 3. The DLC was better though. The first 2 I loved.
If I'm going to pay for games, I would rather buy on switch for the handheld element. However I downloaded the demo on both switch, and an unnamed powerful console. I'm sorry to say this but the switch version is a sorry state. I could cope with the blurriness, but the lack of control over the character, due to frame rate, made this un-purchasable on switch. The control was fantastic on the other console.
Ok, so Capcom first and Nintendo second. I'll take that, the companies in between have indie catalogues, so don't really count. I'm not saying there aren't great indie games, there are a number I love, but the majority of them are massively overrated by almost all review sites. A AAA game has to be literally be one of the greatest games of all time to make 9-10 scores, where as indie games get 10's for having a sometimes basic premise with a repetitive catchy gameplay hook. Dead Cells, Vampire Warriors, Hades and a few others are definitely worthy of 9's, but the amount I have seen with 9-10's, then went out and bought them, only to be bored after an hour, is easily between 20-30. Clearly the tactic of supporting indie studios works.
I'm torn about Kingdom Come, it got such great reviews, especially about the combat. But from watching gameplay videos, that is what is putting me off, it just looks so cumbersome and frustrating. I need something to tide me over though while I wait on Endless Ocean.
I loved these back when they initially released, however I purchased streets of rage 4 and was bored after an hour. Feels like for me, some of the gameplay styles haven't aged well. Crazy Taxi on the other hand still feels as fun to this day as it was back then. Can't wait to see what they do with that one.
I'm not happy at the guy who said it needed 60+ GB, as I went through my storage cleaning out a bunch of games to make space, to then find out it wasn't needed, lol I already had like 30GB free.
I liked Splatoon 2 when I first bought it, got a good amount of playtime, then got bored and stopped. Eventually 3 came out and like a mug, I bought it, even though the warning signs were all there. As I feared it was pretty close to being the exact same game, a few hours later I gave up and realised I had just burned 50 quid. I'll not make that same mistake again, so release a forth if you like, I personally won't bite again. On a last note, I'm now the same with Mario Kart, I just can't see me buying another version, I can't see how slightly better graphics can really make it any better and this version has so many maps, it pretty much is the only Mario Kart you will ever need.
It's such a shame that pretty much all visual novel games seem to be anime. I really loved the House of Fata Morgana, but I found myself only getting half way through the second visual novel I picked up. I don't mind anime or manga, but I would really love to try a VN that is just a straight up Adult novel, or maybe a fantasy novel in the LOTR's mould.
Meanwhile, in other news, someone two streets down from me likes Sonic. Knowing this I feel like I can finally move on with my life. One day I hope to hear of a proper A list star who likes something I do, that will really set me up for life.
I've already had a 4 hour trailer, I booted BOTW up at the weekend. I reckon that will suffice. In all seriousness though, I will be picking this up day one, I mean it's Zelda for god sake. However I can't hide my disappointment so far, it looks just DLC for the BOTW. Plus I can't put my finger on it, even though I got a couple of Hundred hours out of it, I can't even recall what the story was supposed to be in BOTW, it's the equivalent of enjoying a great meal, but then having a disappointing aftertaste. I'm just not overly excited for this and that is the first time ever, that I have been that way with a Zelda game.
Every time I see a headline for a new game, switch online release or remastered game and I then see Kirby's name, my heart sinks. What people see in Kirby I will never understand. I've tried so many times to see what I am missing, but every time after half an hour I just feel so bored.
When all you really want is Skies of Arcadia, as there has never been a sequel or remaster, but we get a shoddy port of a tales game instead, even though there has been a deluge of tales games. Please Sega, hold back on one Sonic game and focus on Skies just this once.
Remaster looks amazing, but by far the biggest improvement is just having proper free camera controls, feels so good playing with freedom. I booted up the original literally days before this released, so I am able to appreciate how much difference it makes.
As a Scottish kid growing up in the 80's then as a young adult in the 90's. Nintendo was sneered upon in the same way that wrestling was. I had no other friends that played Nintendo throughout my life, so solo gaming all the way for me, just the same as wresting was something I never got to chat with people about, as all my friends ridiculed me for watching it. So to me, the reason Nintendo isn't as popular in the UK, is because it has never been considered cool here.
Let's all make a promise to come back here in 2027 and beg Sega for forgiveness, for daring to doubt the super game that changed the very fabric of the universe. No longer should we settle for our mundane physical forms, when we can just absorb ourselves into the 'SUPER GAME'. I wonder if Nostradamus predicted this?
@BenAV Exactly, I really don't know why oddessey was rated so high. It was a massive step down from the Galaxy games. For me there was just way to many moons and most were too easy to get.
I should be over the moon because of Goldeneye and Pikman 4. However I feel gutted, due to all the hype with the Zelda and Metroid remakes. Also for advance games, but we got none of that. Please Nintendo, I don't emulate games and the temptation is killing me, as I have a steam deck, release Metroid trilogy, why oh why do you insist on another Kirby port, when everyone is screaming for Metroid. Sometimes it feels like you hate Metroid fans.
Americans may love this news, but for the majority of the rest of the world, FIFA is the one that matters. I find it baffling that that they hold the biggest sport in the world, in such low regard when it comes to switch. Actually I don't really care anymore, EA can go and burn in a dumpster fire for all I care.
The only 2 games I was hoping would come to this was Wave Race and No Mercy. So I'm proper chuffed about this, however I just can't see No Mercy ever happening.
This is the way I took this, maps look similar, but at least there are new ones. Weapons same, with some new ones. Gameplay roughly the exact same, as expected. Story mode, same thing again. Salmon run, just wow, I seen nothing new here, looked the exact same. Some crappy side game. Oh and 3 characters...dancing and stuff, kinda like the DJ characters in the second game. I should have been an easy sell on this, as I liked Splatoon 2, but other than a few tweaks, it just looks like an expansion, not a new game. I love COD zombies, so I was really looking forward to seeing a new PVE mode with improvements over salmon run. What I seen of that was a huge disappointment. So I think I will be skipping this. If I ever feel like dropping back into Splatoon, I will just play 2.
I'm afraid everyone isn't excited, I would probably only pick this up if it was on a good sale. Wasn't blown away by either of the first 2, not really my type of game. Never enjoyed DMC either. Either way, I appreciate a lot will be buzzing for this, so to those folks I say, enjoy when it comes.
Here's a deal Nintendo, give me 0.01% of that, for the last 35 years of sustained loyalty. It wouldn't mean much to you, what it would mean so much to me. Cmon be a pal.
I wish I had played the demo first, between the 15 quid for this and I just paid the day before for KOTOR, both games had me bored to tears after an hour gameplay in each. I love card games and just seen the metacritic reviews for each, so took that on faith. Oh well guess its just a week of throwing money away. It is just a really dry period for me in Nintendo land, haven't had anything good to play for ages, with the exception of Xeno 3, there is nothing to look forward to in that eshop going forward.
What really surprises me, is that no one seems to talk about the potential of Nintendo's next console being a high powered home console that syncs the AAA third party titles directly to your switch with a direct connection. So the Switch would still exist to compliment the new hardware. I think this would be a great idea. Even though I don't see it as being likely. But what do they have planned? It just doesn't seem like the Nintendo way to just release a more powerful Switch 2, I just don't think that is original enough.
If you want to tackle your mental health issues, do the opposite of what is suggested here. Cut your gameplay time down, and try to get out more and socialise. I know everybody's situation is different and that going out and socialising isn't always an easy thing to do. However what I do know is if I have a mammoth gaming session of around 10 hours, I feel weird after it and a touch depressed. It's always been like that for me. Excessive gaming just isn't good for you, no matter how much we love it.
Please not Wind Waker again. The only Zelda I have completed only once is Twighlight Princess when it first came out in 2006. I can barely remember it, so would be almost like a new game to me. Been praying for this since the switch came out.
I was going to get this, but after I played the demo, it convinced me not to buy it. I was wrongly under the impression that it was open world. In the demo it seemed more stage based. I don't know, I just felt a bit bored playing it. Now I'm torn with everyone saying it is great, feeling like I'm missing out.
@JaxonH Yeah, already got that one in my sights, I enjoyed ZA Trilogy, but my only complaint would be that it lacked variety in the gameplay. Used the same 2 weapons all the way through to the end, just got a little repetitive. Hoping ZA4 will have a little more variety.
This is terrible news for me, I only buy COD for Zombies. I was excited when I heard COD was coming to switch, only to have it scuppered with this news. So without zombies it's a no go for me.
I suppose it's easier to pick out the games that for me, probably don't deserve their place. Bayonetta - I get why people like these games, just not for me. Hades - I'm a big fan of rougelites, but once I escaped the first time, I felt no motivation to continue, dead cells is far superior. Celeste - I just don't get what people see, I have went back 4 times, convinced I must be missing something, but every time I complete a few areas and just feel bored and give up, clearly not for me.
No interest in multiplayer or single player, so for me Zombie Chronicles would be the dream addition to switch. Listen to me Microsoft, I represent 90% of all life on earth.
I reckon the original Metroid Prime 4 was actually Metroid Dread, I suspect that was the original plan, then when they realised people's expectations were for a proper Prime experience, they pretended to can the game and start again, when they were actually just starting the prime game out of fear of retribution. I may be wrong, but the timing of Dread just seems to fit that theory.
I don't own a single possession that I care deeply about, we all live very short lives and we are all just temporary owners of objects, including your home etc. None of this goes with you in the ground or the big fire. So why anyone thinks inanimate objects are worth so much value is beyond me, especially when it is just pieces of paper. He should put his wealth to better use, you are famous for nothing, recognise how lucky you are and starting putting your excess money to better use. Like helping others maybe?
Ah Metroid Prime Trilogy, we can but dream. I've pretty much already given up on that one. Mass Effect trilogy would be nice as well, but I also don't see that happening. I would like to see dark souls 2 and Zombie Chronicles. BOTW 2 and MP4 are the only games I have to look forward to on Switch, really need something else on the horizon.
@Solaine Ah of course Code Vein, I forgot about that one. It was pretty decent, and at first I thought it might be great, but I never finished it and started to get a bit bored after about 15 hours. However I was playing it on gamepass on my razer mobile, maybe if it was on switch or on a bigger screen I would have persivered. Lol that's a point, I might just double check the eshop in case it ever did release on switch.
@Solaine I know, I get that. I'm just trying to make the point that if you want a souls like experience, you need to play a From Software game. Lol with the exception of the Nioh games, which for me are they only ones that either got as close or as good as the From Software games. All the rest just don't have that magic feeling and I've always been left disappointed after playing them.
Let's hope he only signs, he literally makes my toes curl up. I can't think of another rock star with as big as an ego as him. And not in a fun way, more in a cringe inducing way. If he isn't going on how how great his talent is, he is talking about how amazing his body is, or how good in bed he is. He was on Jonathan Ross the other night and in dead seriousness said he came up with all the harmonies on the live aid song and that all the other stars copied him. Even typing out what he said is making me squirm.
If there is ever a movie of this and it has to be Brie Larson, please just ensure the Samus suit helmet stays on for the whole movie. I don't think it could survive a personality vuccum as the lead. The last thing the gaming industry needs us another flop game to movie conversion.

He should put his wealth to better use, you are famous for nothing, recognise how lucky you are and starting putting your excess money to better use. Like helping others maybe?
Re: Feature: Nintendo Switch Ports We'd Love To See In 2022
Ah Metroid Prime Trilogy, we can but dream.

OK, here's my question: Would you like some toast?
Re: Best Nintendo Switch Soulslike Games - Games To Play If You Like Dark Souls
@Solaine Ah of course Code Vein, I forgot about that one. It was pretty decent, and at first I thought it might be great, but I never finished it and started to get a bit bored after about 15 hours. However I was playing it on gamepass on my razer mobile, maybe if it was on switch or on a bigger screen I would have persivered. Lol that's a point, I might just double check the eshop in case it ever did release on switch.
Re: Best Nintendo Switch Soulslike Games - Games To Play If You Like Dark Souls
@Solaine I know, I get that. I'm just trying to make the point that if you want a souls like experience, you need to play a From Software game. Lol with the exception of the Nioh games, which for me are they only ones that either got as close or as good as the From Software games. All the rest just don't have that magic feeling and I've always been left disappointed after playing them.
Re: Best Nintendo Switch Soulslike Games - Games To Play If You Like Dark Souls
The best Souls / Souls like games?
1. Dark Souls
2. Dark Souls 2
3. Bloodborne
4. Dark Souls 3
5. Sekiro
6. Demon Souls
7. Nioh
8. Nioh 2
The rest are either more metroidvania than souls like or they are just not in the same league. No other so called souls like has impressed me.
Re: The Game Awards Will Feature A 'League Of Legends' Musical Performance By Sting
Re: Random: Brie Larson's Back In A New Metroid Dread Instagram Ad
If there is ever a movie of this and it has to be Brie Larson, please just ensure the Samus suit helmet stays on for the whole movie. I don't think it could survive a personality vuccum as the lead. The last thing the gaming industry needs us another flop game to movie conversion.
