With over 100 million units sold worldwide, there are a lot of Wii consoles out there – many of which, we dare say, are currently languishing inside cupboards and lofts all over the globe, begging to be returned to active service.

They say you should always be careful what you wish for, because one such console has indeed been placed back in active duty – but wearing entirely new clothes. You see, hacker sonictimm took a Wii and decided to pop it inside a toaster. He actually did this five years ago but has only now made footage of this twisted creation available to the public.

The 'WiiinToaster' (for that is its name) does everything a normal Wii can do, but sadly, the toast-making element of the toaster had to be sacrificed. So while you can happily play Mario Kart Wii and Super Smash Bros. Brawl on it, you can't actually make breakfast. Boo.

If you'd like to achieve a similar fusion of toaster and games console but lack the required electrical skills, then you could always get one of these bizarre skins for your Switch.
