Hunter Rank 100 or bust my friend. The best fight in the game is the Crimson Valstrax. Whose unlock comes saddled with the aforementioned Hunter Rank 100. I’m a glaive main and I just reached level 301. I’m addicted. Don’t deny yourself the Valstrax fight. It’s awesome and it’s ambush attack will strike fear into even the most battle hardened Monster Hunter. My newest claim to “fame”, I took down the Advanced Valstrax, by my onesies, with zero faints and no buffs. Only health. 17mins 57secs.

@Anachronism can’t fault you for that. I used the rivet shot extensively. This was a triple shot of arrows, with grenades strapped to them, that only went off when they got hit. I would stick a chain of them, from foot to head, into what ever monster. Then I would do a dashing slash at the bottom arrow, to set off a chain reaction. It would be like, 18 - 20 rapid fire explosions across the whole body. No monster appreciated this move, but I sure did. It made me giggle.

The game is dope. Do yourself the favor, forgive its last gen trappings and buckle up for some of the best combat you’ve gotten a hold of. Might I suggest magic archer. A hybrid class, that has the best of all worlds.

This game is excellent. Anybody with a hankering for some SSX, should give this a go. Also, it comes with a perfect soundtrack

@CodyMKW Not true. It lags no matter what. I’ve got everything closed and I’m on a 1gig per minute internet connection. What they’ve got set up here, is crap.

Yes, the lack of music, makes the shopping experience, a bit joyless. I agree. The lag when scrolling down through, is in fact, horrendous. No user rating system is dumb. And to those who just don’t understand these and other complaints… if ever Nintendo does decide to change these things, you will be quietly appreciative of us complainers. I will continue to maintain, that the Glaive is the most fun out of all the weapons. It’s certainly not the most powerful, but if you want some DMC in your MHR, here ya go.

@Octorok385 word my friend. Word. I’ll be flying those unfriendly skies as well. I just taught my buddy (who’s been a long sword main) the glaive. Listening to him giggle and exclaiming “oh my God! That was so dope! Wait wait wait, how did I do that? Hold on, I gotta get this..” He’s thrilled. He says he does prefer the power of the long sword, but the fight is nowhere near as fun as the glaive and that he’s found his new main. Don’t sleep on the glaive y’all. FUN

Yup, I’m a Glaive main too, Mr Whitehead. I’ve tried every weapon and it’s by far, the most fun. It’s like Bayonetta in the air

I’ll pick it up on sale. It looks dumb enough to get at a lower price. I’m surprised it even got a 6. Was expecting a 4, which would’ve talked me out of it all together.

Once Nintendo decides to turn this phone app, into an actual game, I’m sure I’ll have very little to complain about. Right now, there’s been a whole lot of bowling, a smattering of Badminton and tiny bit of Tennis… all of which have been accompanied by an entire mountain of wailing, regarding the dearth of features this app provides.

Yup, it’s a 6. No need to explain yourselves. It is, what it is. It’s not a bad game, it’s just missing… a lot.

Eiyuden, but I’m doing it on Game Pass. If I like it, I’ll grab it on switch. I don’t know why, but it seems like it belongs on the switch more so than Xbox

They need to add options to bowling. Like, taking turns, instead of everyone at once. Choosing whether or not to have standard lanes or obstacles and when playing with friends online, limiting the players to only your friends. Not some random dummies just joining in.

I just preordered it. I hope they add more characters and costumes as future dlc. I can only imagine that they already know, that the fan base for these series, want exactly that and have it on stand by. A serious missed opportunity if they don’t

Two things, 1: I hope the battle system is a little less convoluted than XC2. Even though, once you finally get the hang of it, it’s cool. And…

2: All game journalists need a thesaurus. Specifically regarding the over use of the word “stunning”. Watch, now that you’ve read this, you will see a stunning abundance of the use of stunning. That word and “slammed” need to be eliminated from professional use, until further notice.

Super Metroid alone, obligates me to say SNES. That was the 1st game that gave me real emotions ( other than, frustration or anger ) and cemented the idea, that video games are in fact more than just silly games. They’re art

Edit: the ending sequence, from when you 1st the encounter the Metroids, to when you fly away from an exploding planet, was an incredible roller coaster ride. Mother Brain killed my baby. When I heard the Metroid cry out before dying, I was devastated, like she killed my cat and sought immediate revenge. I’ll never forget it. I actually cried, pointed at the screen and yelled “ your F’n DEAD B$&@#!!!” The music kicked in, the Hyper Beam turned on and furiously lit her murderous a&& up. Then, just as I was calming down… a self destruct timer! Oh crap! My ship is waaaay back there Go Go GO!!! Yeah, it was sensory overload and I walked away dizzy from the experience. Amazing

The music is a BIG no. I had a hard time focusing on the action (which I liked) whilst wincing through the music ( which I didn’t like)

@Tandy255 Fair enough. I’ve been playing Mario games since the beginning and I’m kinda over him. I really can’t expect anyone to feel the same.

Bayonetta deserves her spot in the limelight. Samus is nowhere near ready for deployment and quite frankly, Nintendo needs to give Mario a rest.

Really like this game and I’m counting the days for this dlc. Although, I do wish the goose was capable of diagonal shooting. Not being capable of at least 8 way shooting, hurts the overall product a little bit. Otherwise, super fun game
