I watched the trailer for it last night and the game looks miserable. And I don’t mean that in a “it’s a terrible game way.” I mean that in a “it’ll make you hate yourself and humanity by the time you’re done way.”

Gonna have to pass. I tried both the original and it’s sequel, and I just couldn’t get into it. I was hoping for a glowing review, sans the problems I feared it would have, so that I could be swayed. Alas… nope. I hope everybody that has been waiting impatiently for this, is happy with the end result. I’ll wait in a similar fashion for Metroid. Have fun!

This week is a few definite maybe(s). NMH3, Wild Bus, Monster Harvest and Baldo. All of which, need a few good reviews to sway me. If Monster Harvest turns out to be good (and this is petty) I hope the Switch menu icon for it, isn’t the current one I see in the eshop. I looks too much like a low budget phone app pic. It kills me.

I’d give it a shot (and this may seem petty) if they just got rid of the 80’s porn music at the title screen and options menu. Having the character bounce whilst the music is playing, isn’t helping matters either. Just a bit more class and I’d try it. I’m not bothered by T&A, just how it’s presented.

I said fee. Oh well, figh it is. I’ll purposely mispronounce it, because I hated this game.

Not a bad game. If you’re a fan of the 1st one’s cribbing of Zelda gameplay and the 2nd one’s aping of GoW, then be warned that this one mimics a more Dark Souls gameplay. While original fans decried this change to the formula, I dug it and have since decimated this game.

All par 3’s is a bummer and seems to be, dare I say, par for the course with the amount of effort put into this game. Which is to say, minimal. They seem to be treating their console games, like mobile games. Iwata would never let this game out in this condition. It’s not bad, but it sure as hell ain’t great.
A separate rant/continuation. The music. Yes, I’ve already complained about the music in a different article and my hack to fix it. But I don’t care. I’m hoping someone at Nintendo addresses this. By simply adding the old N64 music tracks as dlc. It’s so distracting, that it completely takes me out of the game. Nintendo, I will gladly pay for this music. No problem.

Please add an update (or even dlc) to replace the atrocious music, with the old N64 MarioGolf music. I actually turned off the music, burned old MarioGolf music from YouTube to LogicPro and play it from my iTunes through a Bluetooth speaker. It’s an unfortunate hack, that does work wonders. My brother walked in and was like “ Oh thank god, they updated the music.” And I said “Nope. I did.”

Edit: other N64 classics made my golfing cut too. Teeing off to Zora’s Domain or Nokia Bay or Drake Lake is magical… now that I think about it, YouTube might get another visit for Phendrana Drifts

Phendrana Drifts. Love the music

Nothing this week for me, waiting on Eldest Souls. Now I know it’s a ways off, but I can’t wait for Monkey Ball

I landed a white oled yesterday. I’m oddly not particularly jazzed for it. I’m really only doing it because the battery life on my launch switch is laughably bad.

Risk System and Within the Blade for me. I can’t bring myself to do Skyward Sword. The only Zelda I ever rushed to complete and then, immediately boxed back up for a swift trade-in.

I’m gonna (try to) do it. Only because my launch switch, now has a battery life of like, 45 minutes. But, if I don’t land one, I will neither be surprised nor upset.

Update: pleasantly surprised, I got one from GameStop. I physically showed up and there were two other people there with the same strategy. It worked

@Broosh it’s hard to say. It’s not a bad game, but it’s odd… there’s some weird luster that’s somehow lost without there being some cute monkeys trapped inside a ball. It’s 12 bucks and I can’t say it’s not worth that price BUT to ensure that you’re cool with it, wait for a sale. Again, it’s not bad. It just ain’t Monkey Ball

I hope there’s a full 3D camera with the right analog too. The Monkey Ball knock off, Paperball Deluxe has it, and it helps TREMENDOUSLY with lining up your next move. Fingers crossed.

I’ve been staring at this on my Xbox for months and the only thing stopping me, was that I kept saying “Man, this game belongs on the Switch. If ever the day comes…” and here we are. Sold.

MHS2 for me and that’s about it for me. Skyward Sword was and still is, my least favorite Zelda.

Two things 1: I’m still getting it. It’s going to get me through my 7hr flight to Boston. I do find this review to be, a bit of a bummer though.
