I’m pleased that I got only three. 3 correct blind guesses out of 15. I know nothing of Mine Craft, still had fun with the quiz though. Keep doing these NL. They’re cool
@Antraxx777 I may in fact be over exaggerating it... but, when you got a top of the line Samsung QLED, not using every square inch of that marvelous screen feels like sacrilege. Anyone in the same boat as me can probably attest to this. I’ll admit it, 1st world problems...
@Emperor-Palpsy thank you for that. Made perfect sense. Although, I still wished they put more effort into it. I mean, M64 changed the 3D gaming landscape forever. A remarkable achievement for a maiden voyage. I feel like they should’ve gone the extra mile. The game, is in fact, historic. Treat it as such.
Dammit, look at how much of the screen is NOT being used. I don’t care how much of a fan of vertical shooters you are, this is a waste of space. There should be an option to remove the borders if you don’t like them. I can’t count how many times I almost bought games like this and stopped dead in my tracks, once I saw the horrendous use of screen space. On a 75” tv, this is blasphemy.
I came real close to buying this. In a rare moment of lucidity, I actually listened to myself to hold off for reviews. This review echoes what I’ve been reading about this game. Shame really.
No way 4K support. At best 1440p. Nintendo seems comfortable being a gen and a half behind their competitors technologically and a 4K portable would be a battery destroyer.
Preordered this two days ago. The trailer on the eshop hooked me. Happy to see my gamble has “probably” paid off. Can’t wait to fire it up this weekend.
If death is so bad, why is everything and everyone obligated to do it? ( sorry, that’s my personal rhetorical question) Death is an interesting subject matter. I just don’t know if I’m interested in that price though. Need some good reviews to sway me.
Please stop and give the attention to a proper MK entry. The unending updates to this half hearted cash grab attempt, upsets me. I would pay GREATLY for MK8 dlc at the very least. A MK9 would be even better. Please Nintendo, cut it out.
I’m gonna do Fairy Tail (physical) on PS4 and if it’s any good, I’ll download it for Switch. For what little reviews are actually out there, the backgrounds on the Switch version look super blurry, but the characters look good. I can deal with that as long as the frame rate is acceptable. Here’s hoping NL does a review on this.
I’ll say it. Iwata did a far better job of conveying the company’s mission and releases. He was forthcoming and kept his audience fairly abreast with what was happening. If the current president (don’t even know his name) operated in this manner, I probably wouldn’t miss E3 at all. But, the dearth of information being drip fed to us, make me long for the good old days.
I’ll support it, by buying it, if it comes out. I have zero faith in the integrity of kickstarter campaigns. So, no money from me until after the fact. To all those intrepid backers, far braver than me with their hard earned cash, please help make this game real and I will support your sacrifice with supplemental (read: safe) funds. Thanks
This review almost convinced me to get it, until the camera flip was mentioned. I can see that making me crazy. To the devs: make that “feature” an option, to toggle on or off and you got yourself a sale.
@Doofenshmirtz Agreed. I wouldn’t be surprised if they act like that, just to distance themselves from the subject matter. As though they are above it. Eliminating the possibility of cancel culture swooping in and condemning them for even the slightest hint of support.
I’m hoping for an update to help with the chug I noticed in the demo. I just bought this for Switch and for Game Pass. I wonder if the chugging is Switch specific. Probably. This game screams portable though and I did have fun with my demo time spent. If the devs clean that up, I can say, money well spent. If not, Game Pass on the big screen it is.
I’m pretty sure that I watched Dashie play this game a while back and it looked un-fun. After watching Dashie for years, I noticed that if he can’t make a game look like fun, it’s not.
Man, I want to give this a shot and at 4 measly bucks, this is quite tempting. But the “sluggish controls” brought my impulse buy to a screeching halt. Update the controls and perhaps add 2 player co-op/competitive and I’m in.
Bah! Give me Burnout 2, 3 or Revenge. How about SSX3 while I’m at it. Paradise strayed too far from the established formula for me. If out of nowhere EA said “We’re remastering Takedown!” I’d squeal like the happiest pig.
Alright, Super Metroid made the top three, but for me, it should be #1. With LttP at 2 and SMW at 3. I get why it’s not. Doesn’t mean I have to agree with it though.
That fact that there isn’t a MarioGolf on Switch, is borderline criminal. This needs to happen ASAP. And, add Mii integration to it as well. Mii’s are an awesome and sorely underused feature.
I’ve just read 5 other reviews and they are all positive. I really want to know what you guys have to say about this one. Jet Lancer and Huntdown today? I’d have say, today was a good day.
@The_Pixel_King I’ll wait and be surprised. Good to hear though. I really don’t know how something as trivial as the design of a menu icon can bother me, but for some inexplicable reason, it irks me so.
@Phostachio I’m waiting for the update too. Although, I flat out bought the game. It’s just sitting there in limbo until this fabled update arrives. Which they said was ready May 1st, when the game was supposed to be released. What happened with that..?

Re: Nintendo Download: 1st October (North America)
Hoping for an Orangeblood review. I love the art style. I’m seeing so-so Steam reviews and that it’s a grind fest. Other than that, nothing for me.

Re: Video: New Super Mario 3D All-Stars Trailer Shows Off Fresh Footage And Features
No 16:9 for M64? Is it impossible to do it in that ratio? I’m politely asking. 4:3 ratio on a 75” is awful. Borderline deal breaker.
Re: Rumour: Super Monkey Ball Announcement Coming Later This Month
For the love of all that’s good and holy, just say it’s a remaster of 1&2. That’s it. That’s all I need.

Re: Random: Modder Pokes Fun At Nintendo By Creating Custom Joy-Con Fighter That Always Drifts Left
This is funny and all but, ummm... when’s this game come to Switch? I’ve heard September. NL, can you confirm?

@andyg1412 a very good question!

Ok. Sold. Yes NL, that’s all I have to say
Re: Gallery: 25 Gorgeous Screenshots From Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity
Here’s hoping they did something (better/else) with that rockin’ soundtrack. The music pulled me right out of the other one. Made me nuts.

Carrion for sure and I’m probably going to do Crysis on my Scorpio. Maybe Ageless a little down the line.

The last one got me. 7/8 ain’t bad for a cast of characters I barely know.

Reviews kinda talked me out of Paper Mario. Maybe later on down the road I’ll pick it up. Other than that, nothing for me.

@Cool_Squirtle you heard that too huh? If I wasn’t born in 1973, I might’ve been offended by that

DF’s assessment of Xenoblade has put that game on pause for me. I’m gonna do Resolution, maybe Atomicrops and probably Shantae.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #44 - Super C / Probotector II
The robots are cool, but have literally NOTHING to do with the game. Went NA for this one. I (just barely) prefer the color palette over Japan’s.
Re: How Well Do You Know The Legend Of Zelda?
9/10 cool, anything less and I’d be ashamed
Re: Review: Huntdown - A Gloriously Gory Run 'N Gun Blaster
This game is extremely well done. What little I got to play last night, convinced me to come back to it. Soon.

@The_Pixel_King I’m now seeing the Switch menu icon. (I broke down and bought it) You and others are right, it’s crap. Please update that devs.
