Re: Random: What's Happened To Bayonetta 3, Platinum?

Realness

Not seeing this or even hearing anything about it, made me so mad, I became sad.
This bummed me out more than the fabled Switch Pro. These were the only two things missing from the show. I knew I wasn’t gonna get MP4, but I thought for sure Bayonetta and maybe a new Switch model. Dammit…

Re: Mini Review: Mighty Goose - Have A Gander At This Stylish Run 'N' Gunner

I’m playing this now and I dig it. It desperately needs diagonal shooting though. So many times I tried (and assumed) that shooting at an angle was a given. Only to get blasted because I imagined my bullets would go where I wanted. The vehicles have 360 shooting. Which makes it that much more noticeable, when you’re on foot again and it’s taken away from you.

@Savino No argument here. I’m getting the Switch version first. But, I’m a multi-console gamer. Always have been and will be. I won’t cross the pond over to pc gaming. I already spend too much on my affliction. Plus, I mostly play on the big screen. For the rare moments that I do play in handheld, I found this game to be a perfect fit. Now, if when playing/beating this game I find it awesome and long for it to look awesome, I’ll double dip for SX.

R-Type in handheld mode is excellent. On a 75” 4K? Not so much. I played the demo on my Switch and Pro. The Pro looked noticeably better/cleaner. The Switch was blurry and lacked an overall crispness. Since I now resent my PS4 (because I have a Series X) I might double dip on R-Type and get it on SX too, if I like it on Switch.
Now to address my PS4 resentment, I can’t find a damn PS5. If I could, that PS4 would be long gone. The SX, in terms of performance, puts it to shame. SHAME. 1st chance I get... bye!

Re: Soapbox: After 17 Years, Monster Hunter Rise Finally Made Me Kind Of Competent

Realness

After 52 hours of Rise... I’m mildly novice. The hardest part is keeping track of everything BESIDES the hunting. All the other stuff you have to manage, makes it a tad convoluted/confusing. YouTube has me seeing a lot of tutorials these days. And Rise could’ve left out the Rampage mode. Which is essentially a real-time tower defense game. I don’t like that I have to slog through that to progress in the campaign

Re: Soapbox: The Insect Glaive Is Still Awesome In Monster Hunter Rise

Realness

Yup. I tried every weapon extensively and this is what I landed on. I’m a first time MH addict, after many previous MH attempts throughout the years. Rise finally hooked me. I’m a big Bayonetta fan and I found that I needed something that gives me a “similar” play style, allows me to get out of my own way and look cool af when doing it. Thus, the Glaive. It has its quirks, but once you figure it out... it’s over.
