The performance issues just took my finger off the insta-buy button. I hope they correct this. I’ve been dying for this to be on Switch. I have the other two systems, so I could easily play a better version. But the game “feels” like it belongs on the Switch. Fingers crossed for a patch to correct this.
Really wish it were 2, Takedown or Revenge instead. Paradise was a deviation from the established formula that ruined the series for me. That formula being:
1: pick a place
2: pick a race
3: pick a car
4: GO!!
Simple direct arcade goodness. Sorry, gotta pass on this one.
Of all the games listed, Akane deserves a shot from anyone even vaguely interested. Surprisingly addictive and a good little blast of fun, that you can revisit from time to time. After seeing this article, I just gave my friend a heads up text to stop messing around and just buy the damn thing.
Well, turn off that steering assist antenna I see you’ve got there and maybe you guys aren’t as good as you think. I refuse to accept these findings as fact. I’ll take you all on! Love, Los Angeles
As a multi console owner and a HUGE Bayonetta fan, my girl deserves 4k 60fps. Now if Bayonetta only comes to Switch, I’m ok with that. I’ll just play it there. But, if ever I was given a choice... I chose to see that along side the new DMC.
I have the Switch, a Pro and a Scorpio. For me, it depends on the game. A game like the Witcher, I would NEVER buy for Switch. That’s my Scorpio all day. Now, I originally bought FighterZ for My Pro and thought ‘If they did a good enough port for Switch, this would be a perfect game for it.’ As it turned out, they excellent job on it. So I bought the Switch port too. I bought all the dlc for the Switch version and my PS4 copy has since gotten dusty. I guess I have to feel like I’m not missing out on whatever feature the Switch can’t accommodate. The three rank like this for me: Graphics/3rd party/1st party = Scorpio. Exclusives = Pro. 1st party/portability/indie = Switch
Switch, Pro and Scorpio owner here. Love them all equally, for different reasons. Each one has their pluses and minuses. I treat all three as one system. So my gaming is based squarely around my mood.
@SwitchForce Jesus, you took that really far didn’t you. I’m not even going to pick apart your wildly presumptuous, condescending and pretentious reply. I admitted to being irrational. Did you not see that part? If I’m going to be honest, the Lite scares me. Is Nintendo slowly doing away with home consoles? That’s a sad and scary thought. I’ve been playing on Nintendo consoles since they began and I feel like the Lite is the beginning of the end. I’m scared that if it takes off, that’s a wrap for what I love most. And, I added humor at the end of my previous statement to make light of my irrational fear.
I don’t know why, but I’m hoping the Lite bombs. Actually, that’s not true. I do know why. I wanted a beefed up Switch for myself. Not a featureless, stripped down one. If they were selling a Pro version, accompanied by the Lite, I’d be thrilled and have nothing but glowing things to say. Alas, such is not the case. So... I’m irrationally miffed. Quite so in fact. Humph!
Zelda for sure. Already paid in full and picking it up physical tonight. Maybe the Goose game, depending on reviews and I REALLY want to do Grid. Something is stopping me. I don’t know what it is, but I can’t seem to pull the trigger on Grid.
Good for you sir. Deliberately helping others, when you are under no obligation to do so, speaks volumes of your character. And all of it good. Right on.
@Ichiyama Terminator. Far more violent and Arnold was legitimately scary in that movie. When he cleared out that police station... man. Truth be told though, some of the special effects didn’t age well. Like, when he’s looking at his jacked up face in the mirror. Not very convincing
Edit: oh yeah, NA wins this one with Europe in a close 2nd
A messaging system and themes are my only concern. I understand folders. I don’t need them. I currently like to see all my games laid out alphabetically.
Nah... the isolation of vr is what makes it completely different from playing on a tv. This is basically putting a stupid looking Doc Brown rig on your head to play on a tv, without playing on a tv. Yeah, no. Pass.
@Darlinfan Read my post under you. I’m aware. There should be an option for full/wide screen. Cater to as many people as possible to help pull the vertical shooter genre out of the “niche” category. I’d take Einhander over any of what being offered these days.
To all those responding to my complaint: I’m aware of all the realities of the vertical shooter genre, that you were all kind enough to lay bare before me. Although, that doesn’t mean I have to like it. Because I don’t. BUT, you guys were really nice about it so, thanks for not destroying me. Sincerely.
No way. Playing Astral Chain on a 75” is the only way for me. It does play well in handheld mode, but it’s not the same thing. At all. Same goes for BotW. It’s a big screen experience
@baller98 Yes, I have it on my PS4. Asphalt looks a little bit like Burnout. Which I miss. DEARLY. I think I just need a Burnout fix to go. Good suggestion though.
Nothing this week. Looks like my next one is Astral Chain. I’m impatiently waiting for Asphalt. I desperately need a release date for that game. Really want a good arcade racer for my Switch.
The 30 second levels bothers me. I’m not completely turned off, but it’s not an insta-buy. I’m gonna work through a couple of games on my backlog and revisit this. On the old wishlist ya go!

As someone who’s not a fan of soccer (I find it tedious) that was fairly exciting to watch. The Shaolin Soccer vibe is actually making me consider it
