When I saw the Aliens table I just couldn’t resist! Am loving it, however I’m a little bit sad the original soundtrack by James Horner is not used in any way. It would have been a perfect compliment but oh well... I can always just watch the movie again

Iwata must have been a wonderful friend. What a profound loss
There is an outpouring of sadness across the Internet. Iwata was clearly loved by everyone, and rightly so - he was never above having some fun with his fans, even if it meant laughing at himself. For me he has been the face of Nintendo for the last 10 years, he has left a gaping hole in the heart of the gaming community.
I just got off from a 6 hour Splatoon session. This games addictive like crack! Seriously, I was going to stop after 3 hours but the "just one more round" temptation was overwhelming!!
Splatoon has been the biggest breath of fresh air in my gaming life. I was getting so sick of online shooters and the same old thing - did anyone else see Call of Duty at E3 and just sigh.. It looked so dull and boring. Splatoon is just as frantic, especially ranked battles, but with more colour and POP and fun. I can see myself playing for a long time.
Hey we may as well admit, if Nintendo were releasing these games they'd be $5 - $20 a pop, and staggered out over 4 years! Microsoft are passing up A LOT of potential income by releasing these for $30, so it's a fantastic deal for gamers. Enough to convince me to buy an Xbox One? Not yet, however I would definitely get one over a PS4. Microsoft are bringing the games way more than Sony IMO.
ZombiU was an excellent game and it deserves more recognition. It's done all it could for the WiiU and it made really unique use of the gamepad. Haters are gonna hate but you cannot fault the effort Ubisoft made to create a truly unqiue WiiU title. I hope with a release on other systems it gets some more credit (though I believe it will struggle to generate the same fear and stress without the gamepad). This game left me properly scared and I cannot say that for many games.
My gamepad ZR button broke so I had to send it for repairs. Now because there is no Pro Controller support I cannot play the game! I wish Nintendo had included the Pro Controller
I supported a game called Chosmochoria, and although the game is finished the developer had to give up on the WiiU version due to technical issues. It is a big gamble with kickstarted these days, I have supported 4 games and am yet to recieve a single one on WiiU. Still waiting on Paradise Lost which is getting pushed further and further back, wouldn't be suprised if it gets cancelled as well.
It's great to have a developer take a risk like this on the WiiU. It's games like this that will really define the platform and I'm sure it will be remembered for it.
I just want to say to them: I loved Knytt Underground! I will be buying this game day 1, because I know this game will have a lot of genuine love and effort for WiiU owners poured into it.
I love the Indi games. Recent purchases include Teslagrad, The Swapper and Guacamelee. All polished and excellent platformers, all different in their own unique way. They have breathed much needed life into the WiiU and that is to be applauded.
We have been playing this a fair bit but holy moly, the highest character we have levelled up is Link and he's on level 52. Most of my characters are level 35ish. This makes it really difficult, we are still attempting to get the Skuktullas. I will say though, you cannot complain about the amount of content, this game is enormous!!
Nice collection, I was kind of hoping he would show off a few of his 'rarest' or 'most treasured' items, I always like to hear collectors opinions on this.
Regarding the eShop male/female statistic. My wife is a regular gamer, but mostly enjoys just playing co-op, and we usually just log in under my account to play. So whenever there is a female playing on my WiiU the system will likely just register it as me.
However, I do know she has never browsed the eShop and shows very little interest in Indi games. She only really like the usual Nintendo staples, and she loves the 3DS (again, the account is in my name). I would suggest many women are playing Nintendo products under a male account system in a shared household.
A tiny and completely unrepresentative sample I know, but that's my 2 cents.
From Curve so far I've bought only Lone Survivor, I was very impressed and intend to pick up Stealth Inc, The Swapper and Thomas Was Alone. The Indi releases have been a saving grace on the WiiU.
I liked this game up until the later stages. They became mazes of frustration and it felt like they gave up on designing open levels and just made corridors instead. The earlier levels though.... Awesome. Loved getting head shots with the bow and seeing the enemies tumble while running.
WiiU is all I need, I have only the time for one and it must be Nintendo. I have a kid on the way and I will be brainwashing it with all things Mario and Zelda, heheh
I'll tell you what 'breaks the magic'. Getting hyped up about Watchdogs for a year and then being told it's 'delayed' for WiiU. Then trying to avoid reviews and spoilers that might dampen my enthusiasm, but eventually I get to the point where I don't care if I ever play it or not. Oh yes, the magic is broken.
I have bought AC3, AC Black Flag, Just Dance 2014, Rayman Legends and ZombiU. I really enjoyed all of them, ZombiU being an absolute stand-out (I have never felt so much dread in a game). Ubisoft keep delivering late games though, at higher prices than other platforms. In these conditions they will always post poor results.
Swords and Soldiers was terrific fun! This is a day 1 buy for me. I recommended anyone who hasn't played it to pick it up on WiiU (it's only a couple of bucks). Perfect for off-TV play and excellent fun!
Dusty copy? No sir, my copy of Black Ops gets a fairly regular thrashing, it is still the best online shooter for WiiU by a long shot. There is still a decent amount of people playing, and the Nuketown map is actually pretty fun. It's a small map and very hectic!
Looks amazing, and as a WiiU owner I really want to support developers who put the effort in to make a unique, worthwhile experience. I will buy for sure!

Re: Reggie on Mario, Zelda, and Splatoon Sales Performance on the Switch
Because you asked:
Zelda BOTW
1-2 Switch
Ironcast
Thimbleweed Park
Oxenfree
Metal Slug
Mario & Rabbids
LA Noire
Looking forward to another great year of Switch gaming in 2018. With a young son and my TV often occupied, the Switch has been perfect.

Awesome game, I highly recommend. The final boss is oh so satisfying to kill. A lot of love went into this game.

There are pledges of $2500 and $4000 on that game. Surely that is a scam and the backer paid these to boost their credibility.
