@Thirteen1355 you're saying that Inti Creates is better than Vanillaware because of the quality of the 2d, but the trailer shows that the game uses 3d for most things and really cheap looking 3d at that.
Muramasa on the other hand uses only 2d and if Muramasa looks like a kongregate game to you, I'd really like to know which games you're talking about

Isn't the reason that link's awakening had bad preformance is because there was a memory leak. Kinda sad that they only fixed it for switch 2.

diddy kongs eyes also look worse, the separated eyes makes it look weirder, and not in a good way, the teeth's fine though.

@Lizuka it's the eyes, if the eyes weren't surrounded by an empty void, but instead a peach tone like the rest of the face it'd look fine.

I wouldn't mind if the game was installing from cartridge to internal storage (like with most disc based games from last generation and apparently most ps5 games, though not Xbox because Xbox is terrible for physical), but what's the point if it's just coming from the eshop, except to create even more plastic waste for no (Non-Stupid) reason.

The platformer lists for example have the Mario games, and the racing list has Mario Kart 8 dx, the best-selling games, while the rpg list has some Zelda games, none of which by the way are rpgs, and Metroid sells far less than those games.

The Metroid games and the metroidvania Castlevania games should be here. I know this list is trying to avoid the obvious, but have some consistency, because none of the other lists on this website do this.

Metroid prime was a much more impressive difference between versions (including lighting, by the way). Also, some people are saying that the game runs full 1080p, but it's only 900p.
Also, do any of the people people who are saying that prime remastered used the same code and this didn't have a source, because I can't find anything.
And no, calling one a remake and a remaster means nothing, those terms are really inconsistent.

Well yes, 60fps matters for gameplay, not for video. people don't usually notice 60fps video, unless it's side by side, and they're looking closely.

other chill games- Control, hollow knight, Metroid Dread, Elden Ring, Armoured Core VI and any resident evil.

it's gotta be 2011 for me. I mean, Portal 2, the release of Minecraft 1.0 the first full version of minecraft, the first terraria release, the international release of ghost trick(japan exclusive in 2010) dead space 2, skyward sword, deus ex human revolution, driver san fransciso, the first version of binding of issac, dark souls, dead rising 2 (can't remember what the critical reception to that one was), the 3ds remakes of ocarina and starfox, the 3ds itself, ps vita, batman arkham city, 2 uncharted games (3 and abyss)
And WHO can forget duke nukem forever and cubic ninja. There's also a bunch more.

@Magrane There's an fan patch that allows people to emulate or use certain flash-carts to play these games without slowdowns by making the emulators/flashcart think it has the sa-1 chip.

The only flash cart i know of that has sa-1 and super fx support is the fxpak-pro and it's stupid expensive, so maybe just stick to emulators for now.

@Itachi2099 bloodstained is artplay, not wayforward. if you mean the 8 bit style ones, those were made by inti creates. in either case not wayforward.

@GalaxicGlobe but emulators aren't illegal. this is corporations throwing their financial weight around and forcing people to settle because they don't have enough money for a court case.
Sony lost a court case against bleem (a ps1 emulator) in the 90s for this reason. Bleem was also paid, so the paetron doesn't make a difference for yuza.

For the record, wayforward isn't an indie company.

@Ryu_Niiyama it's just britain, and there was just a lot of moral panic over "film nasties" and ninja weapons. there's a video by eddache on that subject on youtube. sadly the censorship was also in ireland because of britain, and media companies not bothering to release seperate versions for ireland and britain.

@Chadbury 2. The only exclusive games known currently to be releasing are remakes and remasters, similar to the 3ds at the end of that consoles lifespan.

This is also true for sony and microsoft.
The Vita came 7 years after the psp. the ps5 and xbox series came 7 years after the ps4 and xboxone. the ps4 and xboxone was six after the ps3 and 360. the ps3 and 360 were 6 and 4 years after the ps2 and og xbox respectively. the ps2 was six years after the ps1 as well.

@Chadbury Here's some evidence to back up that claim.

1. new consoles usually come out after at most 7 years. The time between switch from Wii u was 5 years, Wii u from Wii was 7, Wii from GameCube was 5. GameCube from N64 was 5 also. Then the N64 came 5 years after the snes, snes/superfamicom came 7 years after the famicom/nes. the same is true for handhelds, 3ds was 6 years before switch, ds was 7 before 3ds.
GBA was 3 before ds, as was GBC for the GBA. the original gameboy was the longest lasting at 9 years before the successor.

@smithyo when did they ever do that? wiiware was full of shovel ware, as were the physical releases.
even during nes-gba their game library were full of crap licences games.

Subnautica is the objectively correct answer, as is botw.
