Re: Hollow Knight: Silksong's Upcoming Patch Will Nerf The Difficulty In Certain Areas

@Duncanballs And it's totally fine if you don't want to get your ass kicked. We all have our preferences. I tried Blue Prince and found that puzzles were way too hard for me so moved on to something I enjoy. I didn't complain about the game online for being too hard because I understand that the whole point of the game is it is supposed to be hard and that is the specific reason why people love it.

I will say that I do think this game and all hard games should have an easy mode.

Re: Of Course Mario Kart World Is Being Review Bombed

RBRTMNZ

It’s not being review bombed, it is being reviewed. These are legitimate complaints about a major change to the game.

I wouldn’t give it a zero but I certainly understand the game being dead to other people. I went from playing this game two hours everyday to literally not playing at all since the update.

Re: What Review Score Would You Give Mario Kart World?

RBRTMNZ

It’s an easy 10/10 for me but I totally get why the opencritic score landed at 86/100. There are so many little quality of life features the game is missing. The game needs guidance and checklists to help people find the hundreds of fun challenges in free roam. It needs the ability to choose traditional or connected GPs.

Re: Best 4K TVs For Nintendo Switch 2

OLED TVs do not have burn in anymore. I abuse my OLED and have still never had burn in. I will get distracted and leave it sitting with a static image on the screen for hours at a time and have still never had any issues.

Re: Soapbox: After Restarting My Save File, I Finally 'Get' Hollow Knight

RBRTMNZ

I was able to "get" the appeal from the start but never able to truly enjoy the game despite multiple attempts. Finally on the fourth attempt I figured out why. HK has an incredibly sluggish jump. I ended up beating the game and do get it but will never love it due to the jump. I'm really hoping the more nimble Hornet will not feel so heavy when leaping.

Re: Video: We've Played Tales Of Kenzera: ZAU - Here's 12 Minutes Of Switch Gameplay

@DDFawfulGuy If a person associates themselves with the incredibly stupid and bigoted SBI controversy others are going to assume they are a bigot. If a person is truly only concerned about artistic integrity in story telling there are other ways to express those concerns besides associating themselves with the very clearly bigoted SBI controversy. And bringing up SBI in the comments on an article about a video game set in Africa is definitely not going to get anyone the benefit of the doubt. If you cannot understand why people are (most likely correctly) assuming the worst of them then I don’t know what to tell you because you’re either arguing in bad faith or completely incapable of understanding context.

Re: Balatro Has Officially Sold 1 Million Copies

@Sisilly_G It is a deckbuilder. You do not have a permanent deck of cards. Instead, you start with a basic deck and build a winning deck by adding cards and buffs after each round. The card game itself is loosely based on poker rules but with power ups.

Re: Balatro Has Officially Sold 1 Million Copies

@Waluigi451 It's more of a roguelite than a roguelike so like most roguelites, lose until you unlock the good power ups(jokers), then pray to the RNG gods. I win like half the time now that I have unlocked several xMult jokers.

Re: Nintendo's MAR10 Day Sale Brings Discounts To Select Games And DLC (North America)

RBRTMNZ

@Diogmites If your confidence in buying the DLC is based on enjoying the first game, then I would wait. It’s a good game but while I thought the first game was a great tactics game, the second is more like baby’s first tactics games. I’m under leveled and still beating almost all levels on my first or second turn without taking any damage.. It’s good but not great.

Re: Best-Selling Nintendo Switch Games

RBRTMNZ

Ring Fit feels like a missed opportunity. How has there not been a sequel or other follow up for a periphery that sold 15 millions copies? And the fact that there has not been even one indie game to use it makes me feel like Nintendo won’t allow anyone else to develop for the ring.

Re: Oh No, GameStop Is Closing Its NFT Marketplace

RBRTMNZ

@Kiyata I’ve literally never been left in the cold by buying digital. No game license has ever been taken from me. I’m not saying this is impossible but it is so far a mostly hypothetical problem and thanks to digital adoption forcing console makers to move to full backwards compatibility the odds of it happening in any meaningful way are very low.
