Awful to lock the game to the original 151 but then lock the final one behind an additional £40 purchase on top of the full priced game. Still hoping to enjoy it but these business practices are not good at all.

@Sharks they’re also incomparable in that they’re two completely different shooter genres. One is a 12 player team based hero shooter while one is a 1v99 free for all

I love both this and Paladins and I mainly play on the Switch do to be able to freely switch between the two would be amazing. Plus I mainly play portable so being able to play Overwatch like that would be a dream. Just hope there’s cross progression as I don’t wanna lose my precious Mcree, Hanzo and Mercy skins

@ThomasS Shadow of the Tomb Raider is fantastic and my game of the year but unfortunately it released quite close to Spider-Man and it got some bashing for Lara being a ‘white savior’ which kinda diminished some of its media coverage.

But the artcle does state that the losses are likely becuase of them investing in a new studio so I don’t think either Tomb Raider or Octopath are responsible.

i love sport skins but I have my football one already and I just got the Los Muertos set with my saved STW v bucks so I likely won’t be buying any future skins for a while as I’m completely in love with that set

Im really impressed at their ability to pull off real-time, map changing events like this. Watched the rocket launch with my sister and then watched this with my partner and was blown away both times. We were both very confused when everyone was floating and we were suddenly nowhere near each other. Then when all is said and done, there’s ANOTHER free item for doing challenges just after we got a lot of free stuff for Fortnitemares. I love this game.

How brave of all these commenters to say they’re proud they don’t have it installed and never will. The whole ‘I played 2 games so I know what I’m talking about’ is ridiculous. You don’t play 1 match of Counter Strike and expect to be amazing and you can’t spout about how you don’t understand the phenomenon because you aren’t good at it.

It’s just ridiculous to feel proud you don’t enjoy something that many others do.

@Desrever yeah they really hit a bad patch performance-wise for the majority of season 5 but season 6 has been great for both graphics and performance so far

Been saying for months that I want Husks in BR so this update is amazing for me. Me and my partner also love Dia de los Muertos so the datamined skins are amazing for us. Very happy. The free glider and contrail are also great.

I love Fire Emblem and Hyrule Warriors so Im very tempted to get this. The move set variety looks far better here than in those games although FE and Hyrule (FE especially) clearly have more polish

@Balta666 building is its entire USP. They’re not removing it and they’ll survive without having you on board. What’s the point in holding out for them to completely strip their game of its selling point? Just forget about it and move on.

Referring to being gay as an ‘alternative lifestyle’ that doesn’t deserve representation speaks very clearly to your bias against any sort of representation. Your straw man arguments that gender ‘just doesn’t mstter’ are completely disproven when the franchise history of Bowsers love for Peach and Mario’s love for her are taken into account as well as the base fact that Mario is always a ‘he’ and Peach and Rosalina etc. are always ‘she’. We have RPGs in this franchise that fully flesh out a lot of characters but Birdo can’t have a 1 sentence long description that matters?

If gender and such truly don’t matter to you in video games then you wouldn’t be here arguing so fervently against anything other than straight, CIS characters being presented in the game. You’re clearly bothered and so it clearly matters.

Love how last week everyone was complaining about Bowsette because Bowser is a guy but now everyone suddenly doesn’t care about the gender of video game characters.

The comments on here are gross. Why, whenever a character is possibly LGBT do people suddenly decide that characters shouldn’t have genders or sexualities?

Are you people seriously going to now say that Mario isn’t male? That he isn’t straight? That Luigi isn’t male? That peach isn’t female? These characteristics obviously matter to their character and it’s an idiotic straw man to throw out ‘why does gender matter? Why do they have genders?’.

If the manual from ages ago said that she identifies as a she then THAT IS HER CHARACTER. The pronoun confusion is obviously a miscommunication and that’s it. You shouldn’t jump on the opportunity to try and act like people are irrational for liking the character as stated at her inception.

Im freaking sick of people just saying ‘gender doesn’t matter and sexuality doesn’t matter, it’s a video game’ when that only comes up if a character slightly deviates from the norm. Sexuality and gender don’t matter? Tell that to all the romance and role playing video games that exist and the forced straight romances in every game ever. Mario and Bowser both love Peach for Christ’s sake.

The bundle looks pretty cool to be fair and I could see how people would appreciate this as a gift. Got excited thinking STW was coming to switch for a second tho

@DarthNocturnal I actually played since the beginning but only got properly into it at Season 3 and I’m really sad I didn’t go for Black Knight so when I saw they were doing a funko of him I got it right away haha

Loved the previous event gamemode and am really liking the new map this update brings as well as Dredge himself. Great game.

Nothing for day one players of fortnite on switch or people that already owned the Switch in general when PS players get multiple skins and items for free? That sucks pretty bad for me as I was hoping for a Switch exclusive skin but there’s nothing wrong with my day one switch and no reason to pay for a new one.

Great news. Its a fun game and runs well on the switch.

@Vepra yeah I think he’ll be 1500 as he has a backbling and selectable styles like Tomatohead who was also 1500 but Tomatohead has a more expansive change in his style so I really can’t see Wildcard costing more than that. Also, with blues getting backblings, purples getting backblings and styles and golds now having contrails included too; the fact his contrail is free should mean he can’t be 2000. I’m kinda really hoping he’s 1500 as I’ve spent a lot on this game and want to chill it on the spending now I have STW and currently have enough aside for the next battlepass and a 1500 skin.

Yeah payday looks very expensive on switch so I probably won’t get it as I have so many other games on pre-order right now (Tomb Raider, Smash, Odyssey etc) haha

@Mince-Pie they said they’re working with Nintendo to fix it for 5.40 (which might explain the update not being released today despite Tuesday being their usual update day)

Really like that there’s free rewards as everything having a price tag can put off even paying players (like myself) and the new mode looks great so I can’t wait.

Also the new skin looks great, I really like my John Wick skin and was saying the other day that I want more suited male characters as they usually just shove those really baggy joggers on the male characters and call it a day (even for their wetsuit guy) and this white suit looks slick.

@Vepra contrail, crowbar and spray are free challenge unlockables, the outfit, backbling and glider are store-bought.

@OptometristLime I play on Internal and it’s also crazy bad for me. I find it funny that people still say they aren’t experiencing the issues and acting like they don’t know what’s going on when Epic themselves have confirmed the problems.

Freaking love Shovel Knight but I was really excited for those Amiibo and I’m slightly worried about when they and King Knight are coming

@Moshschocker upgraded 3DS graphics and it’s not an old game to us as it never came out in the West.

@saintayu it launched in a good state and only went completely south when season 5 launched. People are allowed to ‘whine’ when the updates are actively making the game worse.

Yeah all of this plus the lowered resolution in the latest patch is awful. I can’t believe people who are honestly trying to say they never encountered anything listed here (especially the resolution and framerate issues) as the difference in resolution between this patch and the last patch are night and day

Ive played 180 hours since the Switch release and 100 before it since I started around when it launched. This is the worst state it’s ever been in

I find it kinda funny that people are in here saying it’s not worth the price when this game has 200-600 (or more) hours of content to be played if that doesn’t make a game worth £40-50 then I don’t know what does. Yes the graphics aren’t as nice as world but they’re still nice and the sheer amount of content and play styles more than justifies the price. No one should feel bad for buying this game and the idea that you’re betraying your fellow gamer by buying this is pathetic

@PanurgeJr and unless youre part of that small group of people your experience is usually far inferior to theirs AND this is now present in PAID games such as CoD

Looks great. Been waiting for this since the beta as I really enjoyed it. F2P games like this, Fortnite and Paladins are genuinely great and their f2p tag shouldn’t diminish them in people’s eyes when most AAA games function as f2p games with an expensive entry fee

This somehow looks worse and less lively than the 3DS ones. Likely because it’s those same assets being blown up into HD with next to nothing added. Looks really bad and certainly nothing to show off. Hopefully next years looks better than this

Yes! I was gonna get this on my PS4 but I don’t play much on there so I’ll wait for the Switch one. Price difference is so stupid though.
