The wizarding world continues to expand with the sequel to Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them due out this November. If you’ve been craving some magical video game action set in the same universe, it appears you might also be in luck.
A grainy photo of the latest Argos catalogue - originally appearing on Reddit - reveals the LEGO Harry Potter Collection by Warner Bros. Interactive is coming to the Nintendo Switch this November for £24.99.
The LEGO Harry Potter Collection was originally released exclusively on the PlayStation 4 in 2016 by Traveller's Tales, and brings together LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 and LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7. It's advertised as both top-selling video games remastered on one disc. The first title was released on the Wii in 2010 and second arrived on the system in 2011.
Would you pick up this collection if it was released on Nintendo Switch? Or do you think it's the dark arts at work? Tell us below.

HD Remake, eh ?
Coming to Xbox and Switch at a later date than PS4 apparently, and on Switch at inflated price.
So it's an okay late port, having been released pre-Switch, but it's then a delayed remaster on Switch at an inflated price compared to the PS4 version.
So....no thanks.
I was going to buy this for my PS4, but now I might just wait for this to release! 😀
I wish that they would "remaster" the original series of games or at least rerelease them in some form.
I remember being really impressed with the GBC version of the Chamber of Secrets back in the day. The GBA version however, was a totally different game (that didn't particularly follow the narrative like the GBC version did) and was absolute rubbish.
Surely it wouldn't be too much of a technical feat to port the originals from the first game on GameCube to the final game on Wii (even if they were to split them up into, say, two separate releases with four games each).
That’s a lot of LEGO games on the eShop. The more the merrier. Wish other publisher follow this example.
Why does the ad sound like it was written more than 20 years ago?
I’d be more inclined to buy this instead of some of the newer Lego games that Have been coming out. I grew up with lego games on Wii, before they went open world. I’ll buy it physical at a discount. Also I enjoy playing through movies because I don’t like lego’s original stories. No more “cosmic brick” fiascos a la Lego Marvel Super Heroes please.
Give me the full LEGO The Lord of the Rings and not the stripped down version that appeared on the 3DS, and I'll be happy. It's by far my favorite LEGO game, mostly because of its awesome over-world.
My daugher is a big Harry Potter fan. Sounds like a good Christmas gift.
Wish they'd make a Star Wars collection, or even Batman or Indiana Jones. These games have enough sequels, a collection of them sounds way more enjoyable these days than a brand new game (using the same tired formula) for full price.
If true, this would be great! Still taking it with a grain of salt until we have an official confirmation.
Also...why is it not yet November 16th?
I've always liked Harry Potter but never much saw the appeal of LEGO games when I was younger. Having since played and enjoyed the excellent LEGO City Undercover, with its great humor, I would be very tempted to pick this up.
It's going to include a gamecard for Years 1-4 and a dowload code for Years 5-7 on Switch. I'm calling it right now!
How many LEGO games do we need?
@Silly_G Maybe for some of them, but the two Deathly Hallows games were so bad that I don't think they could be salvaged.
Nintendo should make a rpg where you play as a wizard and use the joy con as a wand with the motion controls.
My cash is for FallOut 76 in NOV. Rehashed lego games not on my radar on any system.
@BulbasaurusRex : Hence why I suggested collections (or a single collection) as opposed to individual releases as I understand the quality of the Harry Potter games to be quite mixed (and I made a point of mentioning early on that the GBC version of Chamber of Secrets was vastly superior to the GBA game).
@Knuckles-Fajita
It's always going to be slightly more on the Switch due to cartridges been expensive to produce.
Yeeeaaaahh!! Also put Lego LoTR please!
Nice. Day one for me.

I will absolutely buy these again, just as I would buy the rest of the franchise Lego games (star wars, indie, LOTR). The harry Lego games were fantastic, unlike the marvel ones I was always keen to collect everything and complete to 100%
Yes! I was gonna get this on my PS4 but I don’t play much on there so I’ll wait for the Switch one. Price difference is so stupid though.
I understand why the price is different and imo for a remaster it's still reasonable for what's on offer. After playing Lego City Undercover which I loved I'll give this a bash when it comes out!
@Mrtoad Because it's the UK, and sadly, most people over here wouldn't know what a popular video game is if it hit them. Well, ones that aren't Fifa and Call of Duty, at least!
I want the Star Wars collection more, but this is pretty cool.
@Silly_G it would be a dream come true if they’d make a HP collection for the switch. Shamefully EA has the rights to the old game and WB now holds the right to the HP games.
being cynical switch version only comes with one game on cart the other is DL only anyone wana bet
I am more excited for Lego DC Villians. How does turns out good though.
@darkswabber Didn't EA loss the Harry Potter license after they made The Deadly Hallows Part 2 video game?
@LaytonPuzzle27 yeah but they’re still their games. So I’d assume WB can’t remaster them.
Unlike most people I didn't read Harry Potter until just last year. So I don't have the nostalgia factor of growing up with it. (I had one of those parent's who thought anything vaguely witchcraft was Satan's work...) I enjoyed finally reading them and understand why they are so popular - but don't see myself ever getting drawn in like most people are.
Lego games bore me. Despite being a massive Lego nut as a kid, and still occasionally buying some even now, the games never really felt like Lego to me. They felt like simple movie tie in games that just happened to have a Lego aesthetic thrown on. They never struck me as bad, just overly simple and lazy cash grabs.
@dethmart Well...not really. Many games come out with price parity.
Instabuy for me.
Would be a nice addition to the Switch family lineup!! Great LEGO games!
I'm guessing that Travelers Tales is doing a Lego Fantastic Beasts game then, eh? I'd assume this will release alongside the new movie
@justin233 We Need ALL of them!
I for sure will pick this one up.
This looks like it's going to be around $50 in Canada (+ sales tax), which is a bit high for this, especially since it'll more than probably require a download, thus some sd card space. These are very fun games though, but I still have trouble paying near what used to be the full retail price for most games a couple of years ago. Our dollar went down, so everything went up in price, but no one's earning more money... :/
And again 5 bucks / euros more for Switch owners. Cover art couldn't be worse.
If this was a remaster with better graphics and fully voice-acted, I might have considered it. But since I own most of these games already on various other systems including iPad, I don't think I will. I wish they'd remaster the Star Wars Lego games with new graphics and full voice-acting, I'd buy that in a heartbeat!
These are great games, so the more the merrier. Will surely pick it up, but maybe on a sale. Would love the Indiana Jones and Star Wars games as well. The pantomime humour–back when they didn't have voice in the LEGO games–was hilarious.
YES
LOOOVE the Lego games, with these taking the cake. Honestly, these and the star wars ones are the best, and getting these remastered on the switch is the BEEEEST
it better happen
