Update: Tencent has now confirmed this date for the west.
Original Story: The upcoming MOBA Arena of Valor was already locked in for a September release and now a listing on the Japanese eShop appears to have revealed the exact date the free-to-play title will be ready for battle.
It's scheduled to arrive next week on the 25th. At this point in time, the North American and European eShop pages make no mention of the local release date.
For the uninformed, a Nintendo Switch membership won't be required to play this game online. Tencent was the first developer to shed light on the situation, revealing free-to-play games wouldn't require players to subscribe to the new Nintendo service.

Got a Beta Acc last week and felt so proud because it was my first ever Beta invite so kudos. Will def play the final.
Great news. Its a fun game and runs well on the switch.
I'll probably give this ago, so far I am enjoying the free to play games on the switch.
Played the beta this week but was not impressed. To sluggish.
Have it on my Galaxy Note and it's just ok, to me it gets repetitive to quickly it could be just me I have been experiencing a big burn out factor when it comes to mobile gaming on my phone I cannot take all the free to try games with the excessive ads and even worse the pay to win microtransactions on every new game . I miss the days when you bought a game and that was it, not we have unlimited DLC through micro transactions and skins and loot boxes and so forth. In my opinion mobile corporation gaming is killing gaming one ad and 99.cents at a time.
I usually don't do free to play, but I never play tencent's titles. I have a general policy of boycotting their stuff.
E-sports is the best stategy like DOTA 2 and I can't wait to see play this game much like a Mobile Legends.
Arena of Valor no need online subscription service or pay online subscription service but lot of wasted money per month.
Will play the final game, I had so much fun playing the beta a few months ago
I just hope I'll don't need to spend way too much hours just to unlock a couple characters
This game looks beautiful on the Switch but during the pre-release testing it had some terrible crashing issues. I hope they resolved them before launching. And every match was a mirror match, we need more characters to choose from.
Decent MOBA. Healing classes are weak though, and generally unwelcome in the meta. Might not bother most folks, but I love playing support chars.
