I’m really hoping for something great from Frontiers, but I am definitely keeping my expectations in check to avoid disappointment.

I would say that the biggest launch day disappointment for me was New Pokémon Snap. I thought the game looked kinda cool, but I definitely only bought it because I just kind of felt like buying a new game and that’s it. I only played like 3 levels and knew the game just wasn’t for me.

I’m currently really on the fence about Nintendo Switch Sports because I don’t want something like that to happen again.

Kirby looks a bit off in the European one, but the Japanese one is kind of random to me, I prefer Europe’s.

I’m honestly super excited for this! Based on the initial announcement I was kind of expecting a half-hearted simple port of these games (that I was still going to get), but there is a surprising amount of polish and effort for this collection! The animations, widescreen, missions, mirror mode, optional lack of lives (I always hated lives in these games because they can be a bit cheap at times), character selection, and the potential for other extras is all fantastic! The different packs are kind of weird, but I’m just going to get the Digital Deluxe and call it a day. Can’t wait!

Tetris would be absolutely great! I have a couple of versions on Switch already, but the purity of the older Tetris is kinda nice sometimes.

I already have Sonic 1 and 2 on Switch, but I’ll still more than likely get this game for the improved versions of all of these.

For Xbox, I’m continuing Lego Star Wars the Skywalker Saga and playing Fortnite with my friends. For Switch, I just finished 100% completing Kirby and the Forgotten Land, so I’m looking for something new to play. I’m thinking of these indies: Celeste, Bug Fables, Enter the Gungeon, Shovel Knight Treasure Trove, Undertale, and Golf Story. Anyone have any thoughts on these or other indie suggestions, bearing in mind that I already have Cuphead and Hollow Knight?

Edit: I settled on getting Celeste, Bug Fables, and A Short Hike. I’m excited to play them!

In terms of hardware, I’d say the Switch for sure. The features on it are absolutely great. Software is a little tougher though. I hate to say it, but I’m gonna have to rule out NES, SNES, and N64 right off the bat. There are great games on each, but I feel like many of them do feel a little dated (they are literally but you know what I mean). I think I’d have to go with the Switch again, so Switch for the win!

Is this game good? Everyone kept talking about it when it released, but I felt that a lot of the praise given was kind of sarcastic.

Europe’s looks off to me due to the coloring and I don’t think Japan’s is overly interesting, so I’m going with North America’s.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land for sure! I am honestly shocked at how much I am enjoying this game. I was skeptical when it was announced, excited by the second trailer, and kinda just meh about it up until it’s release. I ended up deciding to try it and I am so glad I did! The levels are all so fun and the different objectives spice up the game a bit, which is great. I will definitely be playing this game to 100% completion!

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is definitely my favorite

@Leuke I don’t know enough about Kirby to say whether it should or shouldn’t have a timeline, but I definitely don’t think Mario needs one.

I have been absolutely loving Kirby and the Forgotten Land so far. I was honestly a bit skeptical at first, but it is just so much fun.

I feel like I’m the only one who likes the Zelda timeline lol. It’s a bit crazy, but it’s unique and it makes pretty good sense when you look into it.

I like both Sunshine and Majora’s Mask, but they are definitely lower for me too.

Ninja Hideaway, but I love Coconut Mall and Shroom Ridge too! I honestly like all the new tracks.

I’d like to point out a soundtrack that I think is criminally underrated: Paper Mario the Origami King. The game is hit or miss for many people, but the songs are genuinely phenomenal.

A couple of the tracks may not be the most interesting in the world, but the fact that they’re here and that there will be more is enough for me!

I’m so unbelievably excited to be getting new tracks!

I just finished Super Mario Galaxy last night, so I’m starting Galaxy 2 today. I haven’t played it since right when the pandemic began (unlike all the other 3D Mario games) since it’s not on the Switch, so I’m super excited to play it again. Currently it’s my second favorite Mario game, so I hope that holds true when I play it! I’m also playing more Fortnite with my friends on Xbox.

I’m not a Final Fantasy fan and I wasn’t planning to get this game in the first place, but why would anyone get this over Mario Kart? Especially with the DLC!

I’ve never even heard of most of these. Race with Ryan? What?

Nothing but respect for this man. My life would be very different without video games (I’d be fine but I’m saying I love video games lol).

@Captain-N I’m just about certain that we will see the game this year, but I’m only about 90% sure we’ll actually get it this year (still pretty optimistic compared to many).

I don’t really play any turn based RPGs other than Pokémon or Mario RPGs so I guess I’m a bit of a casual 😅

I just finished Super Mario 64 two days ago and I’ve already finished Sunshine yesterday, so I’m on to Galaxy this weekend. Other than Galaxy I’ll probably continue playing Fortnite with my friends.

I really need to play more Pokémon Legends Arceus. I played for 5 hours and loved it but then I just kinda stopped.

Fortnite, Halo Infinite, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as usual, but I also started replaying Super Mario 64 and I’m having a lot of fun! I think I’ll replay Sunshine when I’m finished with 64.

As of right now, Quaxly. That’s definitely subject to change though, as it usually comes down to the final evolution for me anyways.

It’s certainly cool that we are getting Gen 9, but I’m not going to lie when I say that I was really hoping it wouldn’t come out this year. It definitely looks rough around the edges as of right now, so hopefully they are able to clean it up by the time it releases (almost certainly November).
