I would say that the biggest launch day disappointment for me was New Pokémon Snap. I thought the game looked kinda cool, but I definitely only bought it because I just kind of felt like buying a new game and that’s it. I only played like 3 levels and knew the game just wasn’t for me.
I’m currently really on the fence about Nintendo Switch Sports because I don’t want something like that to happen again.
I’m honestly super excited for this! Based on the initial announcement I was kind of expecting a half-hearted simple port of these games (that I was still going to get), but there is a surprising amount of polish and effort for this collection! The animations, widescreen, missions, mirror mode, optional lack of lives (I always hated lives in these games because they can be a bit cheap at times), character selection, and the potential for other extras is all fantastic! The different packs are kind of weird, but I’m just going to get the Digital Deluxe and call it a day. Can’t wait!
For Xbox, I’m continuing Lego Star Wars the Skywalker Saga and playing Fortnite with my friends. For Switch, I just finished 100% completing Kirby and the Forgotten Land, so I’m looking for something new to play. I’m thinking of these indies: Celeste, Bug Fables, Enter the Gungeon, Shovel Knight Treasure Trove, Undertale, and Golf Story. Anyone have any thoughts on these or other indie suggestions, bearing in mind that I already have Cuphead and Hollow Knight?
Edit: I settled on getting Celeste, Bug Fables, and A Short Hike. I’m excited to play them!
In terms of hardware, I’d say the Switch for sure. The features on it are absolutely great. Software is a little tougher though. I hate to say it, but I’m gonna have to rule out NES, SNES, and N64 right off the bat. There are great games on each, but I feel like many of them do feel a little dated (they are literally but you know what I mean). I think I’d have to go with the Switch again, so Switch for the win!
Just finished the main story of Kirby and the Forgotten Land, so I’m going to continue trying to 100% complete it as well as playing Lego Star Wars the Skywalker Saga and Fortnite.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land for sure! I am honestly shocked at how much I am enjoying this game. I was skeptical when it was announced, excited by the second trailer, and kinda just meh about it up until it’s release. I ended up deciding to try it and I am so glad I did! The levels are all so fun and the different objectives spice up the game a bit, which is great. I will definitely be playing this game to 100% completion!
I’d like to point out a soundtrack that I think is criminally underrated: Paper Mario the Origami King. The game is hit or miss for many people, but the songs are genuinely phenomenal.
I just finished Super Mario Galaxy last night, so I’m starting Galaxy 2 today. I haven’t played it since right when the pandemic began (unlike all the other 3D Mario games) since it’s not on the Switch, so I’m super excited to play it again. Currently it’s my second favorite Mario game, so I hope that holds true when I play it! I’m also playing more Fortnite with my friends on Xbox.
I’m not a Final Fantasy fan and I wasn’t planning to get this game in the first place, but why would anyone get this over Mario Kart? Especially with the DLC!
@Captain-N I’m just about certain that we will see the game this year, but I’m only about 90% sure we’ll actually get it this year (still pretty optimistic compared to many).
The Switch really does have so many amazing games! Here are my top 5: 5. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe 4. Metroid Dread 3. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate 2. Super Mario Odyssey 1. The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild
I just finished Super Mario 64 two days ago and I’ve already finished Sunshine yesterday, so I’m on to Galaxy this weekend. Other than Galaxy I’ll probably continue playing Fortnite with my friends.
Fortnite, Halo Infinite, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as usual, but I also started replaying Super Mario 64 and I’m having a lot of fun! I think I’ll replay Sunshine when I’m finished with 64.
@deafdood I suppose, but considering the DLC for Sword and Shield I was kinda hoping for next year. I’m still really excited though, don’t get me wrong.
It’s certainly cool that we are getting Gen 9, but I’m not going to lie when I say that I was really hoping it wouldn’t come out this year. It definitely looks rough around the edges as of right now, so hopefully they are able to clean it up by the time it releases (almost certainly November).

Re: Soapbox: Please, Please, Please Release Sonic Advance Trilogy On Nintendo Switch Online
I’d be down to play these games for sure! I’ve never played any of them, but I always really liked how the character sprites looked.

@DanteSolablood Great point
Re: Sega To Share Sonic Frontiers News Update "Soon"
I’m really hoping for something great from Frontiers, but I am definitely keeping my expectations in check to avoid disappointment.

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Duel #93 - Kirby's Dream Land
Kirby looks a bit off in the European one, but the Japanese one is kind of random to me, I prefer Europe’s.

Re: Rumour: Switch Online Leak Reveals Unreleased NES Titles, Here's A Look
Tetris would be absolutely great! I have a couple of versions on Switch already, but the purity of the older Tetris is kinda nice sometimes.
Re: The Pokémon Company Is Buying The Firm That Makes Its Trading Cards
@Franklin Well done
Re: Talking Point: With BOTW2 Slipping, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Launching Early Is Fantastic News
That’s pretty awesome for Xenoblade fans! I don’t remember the last time I saw a game get an earlier release date!
Re: Sonic Origins Receives Rating In South Korea, Key Art Discovered
I actually really like this art, even if it’s simple!
Re: Random: Test Your Sonic Music Knowledge With 'Sonic Heardle', A Musical Take on Wordle
I got today’s first try lol
Re: Sonic Origins Re-Emerges, Receives Rating In South Korea
I already have Sonic 1 and 2 on Switch, but I’ll still more than likely get this game for the improved versions of all of these.

Re: Former PlayStation Exclusive 'Bugsnax' Will Soon Be A Tasty Arrival On Switch
Is this game good? Everyone kept talking about it when it released, but I felt that a lot of the praise given was kind of sarcastic.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 9th)
Just finished the main story of Kirby and the Forgotten Land, so I’m going to continue trying to 100% complete it as well as playing Lego Star Wars the Skywalker Saga and Fortnite.
Re: Review: Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga - A Triumphant Return To A Galaxy Far, Far Away
I can’t decide on the Switch or Xbox version!
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: #90 - Super Paper Mario
Europe’s looks off to me due to the coloring and I don’t think Japan’s is overly interesting, so I’m going with North America’s.
Re: Who Needs Switch Pro? New Dongle Promises To "Instantly Upgrade Switch To 4K"
@Anti-Matter I agree. I think a game’s fps is the most important factor of all in terms of specs.
Re: Random: Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Player Spends 10 Hours Reuniting Four Beedles
This is absolutely great lol
Re: Talking Point: 3DS Is 11 Years Old, And Our Eyes Still Feel Strange

Re: Feature: Mario Kart: Double Dash!! Is The Best Mario Kart, Right? Let's Find Out
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is definitely my favorite
Re: There's "No Clear Timeline" For Kirby's Game Stories, According To HAL Laboratory's General Director
@Leuke I don’t know enough about Kirby to say whether it should or shouldn’t have a timeline, but I definitely don’t think Mario needs one.
Re: HAL Laboratory Talks About Kirby's 3D Future, Hopes New Entries Can Be "Even More Wild And Free"
I have been absolutely loving Kirby and the Forgotten Land so far. I was honestly a bit skeptical at first, but it is just so much fun.
Re: There's "No Clear Timeline" For Kirby's Game Stories, According To HAL Laboratory's General Director
@Platinum-Bucket I totally agree.
Re: There's "No Clear Timeline" For Kirby's Game Stories, According To HAL Laboratory's General Director
I feel like I’m the only one who likes the Zelda timeline lol. It’s a bit crazy, but it’s unique and it makes pretty good sense when you look into it.
Re: Kit And Krysta Reveal Their Least Favourite Mario And Zelda Games
I like both Sunshine and Majora’s Mask, but they are definitely lower for me too.
Re: Poll: What’s Your Favourite New Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC Track?
Ninja Hideaway, but I love Coconut Mall and Shroom Ridge too! I honestly like all the new tracks.
Re: 10 Of The Best Nintendo Switch Soundtracks
I’d like to point out a soundtrack that I think is criminally underrated: Paper Mario the Origami King. The game is hit or miss for many people, but the songs are genuinely phenomenal.
Re: Review: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 1 - A 'Safe' Start To The 48-Track DLC Pack
A couple of the tracks may not be the most interesting in the world, but the fact that they’re here and that there will be more is enough for me!
Re: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass DLC - Release Date, Price, Confirmed Tracks And All Mario Kart 8 Tracks
I’m so unbelievably excited to be getting new tracks!

I’ve never even heard of most of these. Race with Ryan? What?
Re: Anniversary: The Father Of Video Games Would've Been 100 Years Old Today
Nothing but respect for this man. My life would be very different without video games (I’d be fine but I’m saying I love video games lol).
Re: Random: It's Been 1000 Days Since Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2 Was Announced
@Phantom_R That’s what gets me so excited for the sequel. Surely they’re doing SOMETHING amazing, right?

@Anti-Matter Dang, that’s unfortunate that you didn’t enjoy it. I guess not every game is for everyone huh?

@HammerGalladeBro EXACTLY
Re: Best Nintendo Switch Games Ever - The Best Switch Games 2022
The Switch really does have so many amazing games! Here are my top 5:
5. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
4. Metroid Dread
3. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
2. Super Mario Odyssey
1. The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild
Re: Poll: Triangle Strategy Is Out Today On Nintendo Switch, Will You Be Getting It?
I don’t really play any turn based RPGs other than Pokémon or Mario RPGs so I guess I’m a bit of a casual 😅
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (March 5th)
I just finished Super Mario 64 two days ago and I’ve already finished Sunshine yesterday, so I’m on to Galaxy this weekend. Other than Galaxy I’ll probably continue playing Fortnite with my friends.
Re: Poll: Do You Think Pokémon Scarlet And Violet Have Eye Issues?
This reminds me of people getting mad that a puddle was removed from Marvel’s Spider-Man lol
Re: Adorable Kirby Plushies Arrive In Time For Kirby And The Forgotten Land
The gun one is honestly so funny lol
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (February 26th)
I really need to play more Pokémon Legends Arceus. I played for 5 hours and loved it but then I just kinda stopped.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (February 26th)
Fortnite, Halo Infinite, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as usual, but I also started replaying Super Mario 64 and I’m having a lot of fun! I think I’ll replay Sunshine when I’m finished with 64.
Re: Introducing Pokémon Scarlet And Violet's New Starters - Which One Will You Choose?
As of right now, Quaxly. That’s definitely subject to change though, as it usually comes down to the final evolution for me anyways.
Re: Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Violet Announced, Releasing Worldwide On Switch In "Late 2022"
@deafdood I suppose, but considering the DLC for Sword and Shield I was kinda hoping for next year. I’m still really excited though, don’t get me wrong.
