If you celebrate it, Happy Easter! If not, we hope you at least have a nice, long weekend, or perhaps you're just going to relax more than normal. Whatever you're doing, we hope video games factor into your plans. This week, we got a new Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes trailer, which introduces us to protagonist Shez. Nintendo has had to change automatic online renewals following a government review. And it sounds like Bandai Namco is working on a remaster of a Nintendo action title.
While we're here, why not go and vote for what you think is the best Nintendo console generation! Some of us have had our say, and now it's your turn to tell us who's right or wrong.
Now it's time to chill out and discuss our weekend gaming plans. A few members of the Nintendo Life team have done just that below, so feel free to give our entries a read and then join in with your own via our comment section. Enjoy!

The list of games I'd like to play this weekend is long. As I mentioned earlier in the week, I've got Dragon Quest VIII ready and waiting to be tucked into. I also took delivery of Xenoblade Chronicles X — I want to download the improved texture pack off of the Wii U eShop before it's gone! I've got other housekeeping to do on Wii U, too. I'm going to transfer my external hard drive to a much bigger SSD I've got, although that involves getting everything already on it safely stored elsewhere before the Wii U formats it, which will take a while. Also, I have no house internet at the moment, which complicates matters when I want to download a whole bunch of GBs.
What I'll likely end up doing is downloading the tiny Nintendo Switch Online update and diving into Mario Golf. It's one of my favourite N64 games, an incredibly relaxing sports game with personality. It's a shame I won't be able to play as my GBC Mario Golf character, but I'll enjoy a quick round of 9 holes sometime over the weekend. Have a good one, folks!

Aside from a mini review, on Switch I'll probably put the most time into Triangle Strategy; it's a long game! I've been enjoying it a lot so far, and it's perfect for little 30-minute sessions for taking on a battle or just following the story.
Elsewhere my attention is split between LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and MLB The Show 22, the latter of which has definitely got me hooked again.

Kirby, Kirby, and more Kirby. My Switch pickings are getting a little slim, so after I beat Kirby and the Forgotten Land, I think I'm going to move on to my second Kirby game. A few weeks ago, a couple of lovely readers — Munchlax and YoshiFlutterJump — made some fantastic suggestions as to what Kirby game I should play after Forgotten Land. And, after thinking about it, I'm going to give Kirby Super Star a whirl! Oh, which reminds me — you should totally vote for the SNES in the best Nintendo console generation poll. Just do it.
In reality, this weekend looks like a PS5-heavy one. I play this little game called Final Fantasy XIV — you know, the one with the free trial up to level 60? (No, I'm not sorry.) The latest major story patch for Endwalker dropped on Tuesday, and my word, the new Alliance Raid is amazing. I've almost got all of the mechanics down. Almost. Aside from gaming, I'm also going to try and get out to the beach this weekend. I hope it's sunny where you are, too!

With everyone celebrating the 30th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past in the US, I thought it was high time I give the game another go. It’s been a while since I last played it, and funnily enough, this will be the first time I play it on the SNES (technically on the Switch); I only ever played it on the GBA previously, and it’ll be odd not hearing Link shouting “hyah!” every time he swings his sword.
Otherwise, it’s going to be a quiet time for me this weekend in terms of gaming; my wife and I are celebrating our first wedding anniversary on the 16th, so it’s not really going to look good if I spend the whole time glued to a game!

It's Easter this weekend, but my COVID test is going to determine whether I hang out with family or just... stay inside playing video games. We just got an Xbox Series X, which means ELDEN RIIIING, but we also need to finish Skyward Sword (which just keeps going) and I'd like to get into something farmy, like My Time At Portia, or something murdery, like AI: The Somnium Files. If only there were something farmy AND murdery!

Great week for the eShop with two games that took their time to get here but do not disappoint: Formula Retro Racing and Bush Hockey League! While on the subject of waiting, Nobody Saves The World is proving to be another Drinkbox Studios hit!
Game of the week is a bit of a cheat this time since there are hundreds of them: The A500 Mini arrived and took residence under the TV. This version of me you know today owns a lot to the Commodore Amiga: The digital artist who began pixelating things in Deluxe Paint III. The audio producer who began making noise pollution in ProTracker. And of course, the greatest Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe player in the known universe. Ice cream, I scream!
As always, thanks for reading! Make sure to leave us a comment below with your weekend gaming plans!

Death's Gambit Afterlife (for myself), Animal Crossing (for my wife) and Kirby with my family.
This weekend I will continiue with Assassin's Creed Odyssey it has been good so far but also very grindy.
I will also play some nostalgic games like God of War and Castlevania 64
Tormented Souls is for the survival horrow thrill
Kirby and MK8 keep it simples.
Lost in random on the XSX through UGP. If I beat it this weekend I’ll also play life is strange true colours on xbox.
Gonna start fire emblem fates birthright on 3ds too.
And finally uncharted 3 on ps5. Beat uncharted 2 yesterday and loved it.
Mostly playing 13 Sentinels at the moment. Almost 18 hours in now and it's been incredible so far.
Occasionally taking breaks to play a bit of The Binding of Isaac. Just gradually working through completion marks on a second save file.
Ultimate Racing 2D
Not sure if I can use the TV this weekend. My oldest daughter just got back from a trip to Greece and she's totally enamored with it's history and old architecture. Except for the occasional co-op beat-em-up, she's not into gaming but now she wants to do the guided tour of AC: Odyssey.
I'll be playing CrossCode and a couple of classics like Thunder Force IV and Virtua Racing
Mainly more Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga on PS5. I finished the Original Trilogy and I'm currently almost halfway through the prequels. I'm still having a lot of fun with it! I think my plan is to beat it, do a decent amount of optional content, and then save 100% for once all the DLC characters are out since there won't be any DLC levels to use as an excuse to try them out.
On Switch, I decided to boot up Final Fantasy XII again. No clue if I'll get more of that in this weekend, depends on how much time I wind up spending with Lego Star Wars. I also got Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge on the 3DS eShop, and I'm just about done with that. Axiom Verge and .hack//Infection are still potential picks for this weekend as well. I definitely want to get back to .hack soon with that new trademark suggesting a collection of some kind...
I played Switch games for this weekend. 🤓

1. Animal Crossing New Horizons
2. Pretty Princess Party
3. Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age
After the Neon Splash release yesterday i finally managed to continue Demon Turf since i got frustrated and stopped playing it last year. It was a game i really wanted to love but the controls and movement ruined it.
Thankfully lowering the deadzone settings fixed it and now it feels so much better
Twin Hawk on Genesis
Splatoon
Will continue my playthrough on lego star wars: the Skywalker saga.
Then 13 sentinels: Aegis Rim, played it a little and I can say it's very well done for the switch version.
Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse.
45 hours in and I love it!
Another weekend, more Xenoblade 2. 55 hours in and still a long way to go.
Cyber Shadow
I’m replaying Mario Kart 8 Deluxe at the moment, I’m particularly enjoying the new tracks from Tour with the way they change on the last lap.
I might go back to Chrono Cross, but I’m not really feeling it. The battle system makes absolutely zero sense to me and the frame rate is terrible.
Sadly I’m at the end of Skyward Sword so I will be finishing that this weekend
Also I finished Kirby and the forgotten land today
Other then those 2 beautiful games i will play some Mario Kart online races and maybe I’ll pick up BOTW again because I still need to go to the castle but I don’t want it to end :’D
On my ps5 I’ll play some Lego Skywalker and Horizon forbidden west
On the Switch it's the brilliant State of Mind (my 2nd playthrough, the first one being on XSX).
On PS5 it's Gran Turismo 7 with Mafia 2: DE installing as I'm typing this.
Happy Easter everyone!
On the Nintendo side of things I´ll be finishing up the last world of that super-hot, well received 3D platformer everybody's been talking about: Super Mario 3D Land!
In all seriousness, I plan to start Kirby and the Forgotten Land right after finishing up 3D Land. Just wanted to tick something of my backlog first. Mario 3D Land has been a a lot of fun. Just something fun and quick to breeze through in-between big and long releases.
This week I will be mostly playing
Kirby
Fire Emblem Awakening
In UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH Exe:Late[cl-r], I cleared two remaining chapters in "Amnesia vs Bankikai" chronicle and completed it. Cleared "Nighttime Void 3" chronicle. And cleared two chapters in "The Sage Cometh In The Night" chronicle. Oh, and also, I cleared Arcade Mode playing as Chaos. In Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, I've spent one(first) free time with Aoi Asahina in School Mode. And, I cleared one stage in Sine Mora EX. That's all what I've played on this week. Have a nice gaming weekend, everyone.
On Xbox series s I'm playing lost in random and fifa 22
On switch it's mainly grid autosport and immortals
I will finish up the original Legend of Zelda first—left off last evening half way thru the 9th dungeon. It’s been 30 years or so since I last played it…after about an hour muscle memory took control and playing it feels sort of like being in a trance state.
I played that game a lot when I was young and it’s fascinating to see how much I’ve retained, dormant deep inside my brain. I imagine other fellow ‘gamers of a certain age’ have the same experience returning to a beloved game after decades.
I’ll start on Zelda 2 next, which will be much more difficult because I can’t rely on the comprehensive game knowledge built by my younger self. I played Link’s Adventure some but never owned it and I’m pretty sure I never completed it.
Also, going deeper and deeper into the muck of Disco Elysium.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
I've become addicted to Mario Golf on NSO there recently (I WILL UNLOCK LUIGI DAMNIT) so I'll probably keep playing that.
Apart from that though, it'll probably be a mixture of Pokemon Shield/BDSP (the shiny Galarian Moltres event is on right now and I wouldn't miss that for the world) and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (I haven't touched the game since the new tracks came out and I would like to change that, especially since they've been added to the online rotation during that time frame).
Same thing as last weekend, and likely to be the same for a good few weekends hence: Xenoblade Chronicles 3D. About 14hrs in, still only on the third area, but chewing up sidequests like handfuls of popcorn. Love it.
@Judgedean NINJA APPROVED
I’m not sure I’ll be playing anything, this weekend. I’m still studying Elden Ring!
NINJA APPROVED
Looks to be a purely console weekend this time - the usual gluttonous plans for Switch (RF5, SR4, Xenoblades, DQB and Haven, Immortals and possibly BotW, NFS Hot Pursuit and Goetia, Fuga and DerQ, Torchlight 2 and Welcome to Primrose Lake, maybe some Skyrim and/or The Outer Worlds with a bit of Bomber Crew or Duke Nukem on top), plus stuff like Endless Frontier/Spirit of Justice/Etrian Odyssey in dual screen form and stuff like Gravity Rush/God Eater/Gran Turismo on Gita- er, Vita. Meanwhile, Sudoku Gridmaster is finished after all these years and what the congratulatory screen calculated to be 112+ hours (which is just the completed stage times, not counting all the failed attempts). Now you can feel less awkward about the lifetimes allegedly wasted on Animal Crossing.😆
On playstation I am going to try and finish Tiny Tina Wonderlands this weekend and the new horror game ikai, I will also play some more elden ring, currently level 73 and just beaten radahn and boy that was hard.
On switch I will be continuing with fire emblem three houses, so far I'm on chapter 10 and I've recruited all but three of the characters possible so far.
I will also try and get a bit of anime in this weekend as well, been wanting to watch kaguya sama love is war.
I'll be continuing with Mary Skelter 2 and Paradise Killer, as long as I can resist the temptation to play "just one quick little run" in Slay the Spire. Might also start Undernauts: Labyrinth of Yomi today. Mary Skelter reminded me how much I like DRPGs, so I went ahead and bought another one even though I'm only a few hours into MS2.
Probably less free time for gaming despite the long weekend since the weather is so spectacular in England at the moment!
Want to finish off the Forgo bits of Kirbs tho - really enjoying that!
Well I'm working every night but before bed in the morning I'll play some more Cosplay Love which I should be finished with soon. I'm prepping to start 13 Sentinels in the next couple of weeks since I got it at Gamestop this week.
@Zuljaras Yeah, I need get me a physical copy of Tormented Souls soon
@gollumb82 I wished they'd release the Mafia games on Switch. I've only ever played the second game back in the day on PS3 but I remember enjoying it alot.
@nhSnork You played through Ion Fury? I finished it this past week and I gotta say that it's definitely an almighty successor to Duke Nukem 3D. You definitely gotta get it if you haven't tried it. Also, how is Haven? I almost pre-ordered the physical version through LRG last year.
After beating Dragon Quest XI last weekend, I've decided to play some shorter games from this point on. I'm playing through some fighters on my Neo Geo MVSX (I beat KOF 98 yesterday and experienced the cheapest fighting game final boss that I've ever faced). I'll probably play some Samurai Showdown and a few others, as well as some Metal Slug 5 with my wife. I tried a little bit of Sine Mora EX on my Switch yesterday as well. Not sure if I'll stick with it because it's ridiculously difficult. And if there's any other different games to play on my switch, ill play Dicey Dungeons, Slay the Spire or Going Under. Oh, and maybe some Kirby and the Forgotten Land with my daughter.
Kirby! What a fun game! Also picked up Hot Wheels unleashed on a half price sale and it is pretty fun so far. Also Rocket League: recently became a transcendental master.
Happy gaming everyone!
Hades and Dead Cells (took me 40 hours to get to the hand of the king!)
I'm still playing through Gear.Club Unlimited 2, but bought Tormented Souls last night, so might have to delve into that for a bit.
Still playing around on the A500 mini, too. So much nostalgia!
Oh, and I've also been playing a lot of Classic mode on Crossfire X. For some reason I am far better at this than any FPS I've played before.
@JustMonika
It may still happen. The Switch is a juggernaut in terms of sales so it would make a lot of sense. As for Mafia, I have only finished the first one and really loved it. Can't wait to start the second installment.
Triangle Strategy! Much fun!
Lord of the rings war in the North on x360 and ff theatrythm on 3ds.
Professional Baseball Spirits 2021, Chocobo GP and something else from the backlog I haven’t decided on yet once I finish Dodgeball Academia later on today. I’m thinking either Treasures of the Aegean or Atelier Escha and Logy.
Well, Slay the Spire has hooked me hard and it’s all I’ve played this week (thanks, Backlog Club).
Meanwhile, I’ve got Kirby and the FL, Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga, and 13 Sentinels all barely started and begging to be played.
And Spelunky wondering where I’ve gone.
The bad news is my family has dwindled and fractured so much, it’s up to me to prepare Easter dinner on Sunday. 😅
The good news, though, is that I have the kids for most of April vacation afterwards this week, so we should have time to relax and game if we want.
Wishing everyone a Happy Easter/Passover/Ramadan, plain ‘ol weekend, or whatever that keeps you and your family & friends happy and close. ❤️
@JustMonika Ion Fury is on my wishlist (albeit among literal thousands of other items😅), but I still have plenty to do in Duke Nukem itself, the game I once tried as a teen but never properly played until the Switch port.
Not far in Haven yet, but what I've played is very charming and fun by my impressions. The protagonist couple expectedly sells a lot of the game, but the gameplay and the audiovisual aspect are also on par.
@Picola-Wicola
Thanks for the Hades/Dead Cells update! I feel like I reached the Hand in under 40hrs, but I probably just was lucky with power-up drops. 😁
That was about as far as I went with Dead Cells though, before other games pulled me away. I have it on cartridge, you see, and it’s so much work having to get off the couch to plug it in sometimes…😑
Wishing you continued fun with those games!
Mostly Xbox stuff this weekend, particularly hoping that the final Escape hive I haven't played in Gears 5 appears in matchmaking and in general working towards Legend 25 rank.
On the Switch front, the focus has turned to Fire Emblem Three Houses. The recent Three Hopes trailer was enough to convince me it was time to finish off the Black Eagles route which I started last year but didn't get far.
Like @kategray said, Zelda:Skyward Sword just keeps going. So I’m taking a break and going allllllll the way back to the Atari VCS with the goal of finally finishing “Pitfall!” It has a 20 min time limit. That’s way different from Skyward Sword….
Metroid, Mario Party
So I thought I was done with Forgotten Land but there are just so many secrets. I'm also just fooling around in the game, doing stuff like speed running the arena cups and trying challenge runs. I just don't want to put this game down
@Logicfire
The original Pitfall!! Such good memories playing that and River Raid as a kid at my cousins’ house. Those games still define Activision for me, as I’ve never played any of their modern games.
Are you playing Pitfall on an actual Atari VCS?
Hopefully I’ll get to finish Ni No Kuni II this weekend.
Visiting family this weekend and the switch really comes into its own as I got to explore Skyrim this morning. That’s probably about it for me as the rest of the weekend will be food, drink and family.
Lotta Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition and Hollow Knight on Switch (as to the latter, specifically the path of pain…). Also some Rusty’s Real Deal Baseball, Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons, and Pushmo on 3DS.
Jurassic world evolution, creating a totally safe and fun park where nobody has ever been eaten despite what you may have heard, honest.
Some n64 wrestling games, DQ11s, and M&L paper jam.
Out of town this weekend, so realistically there’s nil chance I’ll be doing significant gaming. I’ll take the Switch with, but no Elden Ring this weekend, as has been my typical go-to for the past two months or so. I may hop back into Triangle Strategy for a moment, as I’m in Chapter 10 and just neglected the game because Elden Ring ate up all my game time. I want to finish the game so badly too, and not leave it, because I like it so much! It’s just… competing with Elden Ring is not fair for any game. If not that, I’ll fire up some Sonic games because I saw the movie last night, and really want to show the game series to my son. He doesn’t need to know how bad most of the games are. Sonic 2 and Mania can be his full understanding for right now. Lol.
Just finished Trials of Mana & Super Mario 3D World main games. Now starting their “after-main game” portions.
Following those, I’ll move on to Bowser’s Fury as well as continue working through my ever-growing Switch RPG backlog eventually… (I’m looking at you Star Ocean First Departure R, Tales of Vesperia & Xenoblade Definitive Editions!)
Happy holiday weekend everyone and Merry Gaming!
Managed to start & finish SEGA AGES Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on a beach trip this week! Did a playthrough as knuckles in honor of the new movie I hope to see soon. On my second journey in Elden Ring to get a few last achievements and some Tetris 99 per usual
@teksetter, yea. I recently added the “heavy sixer” Atari VCS to my collection.
I have a very busy weekend between a birthday celebration and family obligations, so I won't fit in much gaming. I'm still chipping away at both Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity (I just recruited the four "modern" champions) and Brilliant Diamond (Just earned my 6th badge and cleared out Iron Island). I doubt I'll get to much else other than some Pokemon Go tomorrow; thankfully the family event is near a park!
Happy gaming, and happy Easter for those who celebrate it!
Kirby’s Forgotten World, Mario Party Superstars, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and Atelier Ryza 2.
Twisted Metal 2 (PS) - I feel that a Twister playthrough is in order this weekend.
Age of Empires: Castle Siege (Android) - Can't seem to get the workaround to play offline working on this version.
ExZeus 2 (Windows Phone) - Beaten the game, just going after high scores.
Grow: Song of the Evertree - a comfy cute colorful farming/building/island making game. Gotta fill in the gap since I finally fell off the animal crossing wagon.
Demon Turf: Neon Splash - just bought, looks like a super fun zany 3D platformer. Although the default jump button is not b which is a sin; fortunately they have button remappings which all games should build in.
Super Mario Maker 2 - a staple.
Taxes - part of the game of life 😵
Pokemon Legends Arceus, Pokemon Sun, and Stella Glow.
Have a good weekend everyone.
Shadow Warrior 3 yet more Kirby Moss Book 2 God of War 3 (PS4) and if I'm in the mood Marvel's Avengers (PS5)
Admittedly some of the missions in Kirby are getting really annoying now such as beating bosses without taking damage. Like why on Earth did they have to make that a requirement for every single boss in the game? 🙃
@RubyCarbuncle I agree, the no-damage boss Kirby missions aren't fun. There are so many fun ways to beat most of them super fast if you take some damage and doing it more slowly to avoid damage just seems tedious.
On the Nintendo side I’ve been replaying 3d world and bowsers fury but I’ve also been playing rdr2 again as well so fun times
Currently sitting on chapter four of Ys VIII. My progress has slowed a bit, as I’ve had a very busy work week, but I’m hoping to make headway this weekend!
I finished collecting every key in Cruis’n Blast. Man, I love this game! You can do a lot worse for $20.
Happy gaming/weekend/Easter everyone!
Not much this weekend for me. Mostly Minecraft with my friends.
Booted up FFX-2 which I've never finished and always wanted to because it's such a quirky sequel.
Also just bought Fuze4 in the eshop sale to try my hand at some coding. Turned on one of the games and got killed by a giant hot dog. Can't wait to start experimenting.
Triangle Strategy still. Hopefully since I’m off this week, I’ll finish it by the end of next weekend and I can move on.
Still working on NEO: The World Ends With You, but I'm also planning on continuing either my playthrough of Fire Emblem Three Houses (Black Eagles Route) or Fates (Birthright Route), depending on what I have time for.
I got a GameCube and some games for it on my birthday, so I’m starting my first ever playthrough of Super Mario Sunshine. Wish me luck!
How is @KateGray the only one to mention Elden Riiing!? 140 hours in and it still hasn't taken its hold off of me. Great game and more likely than not how I'll be spending my weekend
Super late to the party but finally got around to buying Link's Awakening and wow what a great remake so far. The game is beautiful especially on the OLED screen and the game is just a ton of fun to play. I still have to beat Kirby FL (not Florida) but Link's Awakening has my full attention.
New Super Mario Bros 2 on 3DS and Xenoblade Chonicles on Wii. First playthroughs on both for me.
Okay, I lied when I said I’d take a break from Hollow Knight, BUT I finished Gunman Clive 2, putting the Gunman Clive Collection off of my backlog! I also finished King of Dragons a few days ago as well.
In addition to chipping away at the remaining five games in the Capcom Beat em up Bundle, I’ll maybe tackle Mega Man 9 and 10 or FFVII. Happy Easter!
Still not ready for a new commitment after finishing Disco Elysium. I finished Captain Toad on 3ds now, and inserted the next step in the completion of anything Etrian Odyssey: V, only Nexus and Mystery Dungeon after that (Persona Q series included). Started a little bit of Tormented Souls, and killed some time with the f2p Coverfire, and added some very cheap eshop sales to my library, 'just in case I run out of games and there are no good deals then'. Or more likely, when I live in the mountains in Spain, no internet, off grid. That is actually part of my near future, running out of games is for... Well, in two lifetimes. Not counting that I won't be able to directly power a tv, only charge a mobile device, so quite a few of my games won't be playable anymore, and I won't take them all with me obviously, and won't have as many rainy days as I'm used to.
@smithpa01 I heard about that safe park. You need to do a better job getting rid of eye witnesses and bad press. I'm sure you can buy your local government to do just that, always cheaper than actually making and maintaining a safe dinosaur island.
Mass Effect Legendary Edition on Xbox series S and my second playthrough in Project Triangle
FF14 and finishing up some Hollow Knight achievements hopefully
So I'm continuing through Final Fantasy VIII and I'm currently on Disc 3! So far so good! Funny story though I was looking up some guides on the GFs (Guardian Forces) and I guess Google doesn't understand what "GF" means so the related questions will come up as stuff like
"What is the strongest girlfriend in FF8?"
"Which magic should I junction to my girlfriend?"
"How do I boost my girlfriend in FF8?"
"How many girlfriends are in FF8?"
🤣🤣🤣
Struggling to code a fast level generator on the Amiga, so gave up and opted to chill out with some Breath of the Wild - Aimless Wandering. Haven't done that for quite a while.
I ended up taking my horse (Bob) for a short trip between a few stables. Nice and steady. Calm and soothing.
We said hi to a few NPCs, shot arrows at a few birds, and carried on, through our endless journey.
Chilled...
Triangle Strategy, Uncharted 3, and God of War. Will try to throw in Kirby with the niece, which is a pretty fun co-op game with the kiddo.
Happy gaming all.
This weekend, I'll check out the Mario Golf game, that's on Nintendo Switch Online. Outside of that, I'll visit my island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons as well. I played some Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with the family last night and will probably play it some more this weekend.
LEGO Star Wars
Triangle Strategy
preparing myself for the arrival of the sadist demon bunny.
I'm playing some Super Mario Maker 2, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Kirby and the Forgotten Land this weekend.
I finished Triangle Strategy last night. I really enjoyed it! I was worried about there being too much between battles, but I ended up really enjoying the balance and not just going from one battle to the next.
Next maybe I will play The Messenger which is in my backlog. I also may do a round or two or Mario Golf on NSO. I’m not a big sports fan, but I remember renting that one back in the day on N64 and enjoying it a bit so I may give it a try.
I also couldn’t resist picking up Warioware Get It Together when I saw it on eBay for around $35, so I’ll probably play that when it arrives.
I also feel like I need to replay some games rather than always playing something new. So we’ll see.
Almost finished Fire Emblem Fates: Revelation.
Valkyrie no Densetsu!!
Switch - Kirby and the Forgotten Land
Xbox Series X - Sonic Colors Ultimate
Playing Crysis for the first time. It looks pretty good on the switch. Also playing Mass Effect 3.
On my second play through of Kirby FL. I got 100% on my first file. Awesome game!
For Xbox, I’m continuing Lego Star Wars the Skywalker Saga and playing Fortnite with my friends. For Switch, I just finished 100% completing Kirby and the Forgotten Land, so I’m looking for something new to play. I’m thinking of these indies: Celeste, Bug Fables, Enter the Gungeon, Shovel Knight Treasure Trove, Undertale, and Golf Story. Anyone have any thoughts on these or other indie suggestions, bearing in mind that I already have Cuphead and Hollow Knight?
Edit: I settled on getting Celeste, Bug Fables, and A Short Hike. I’m excited to play them!
Classic games this weekend. Brothers coming over to play Hogs of War on PS1 and then Champions Return to Arms on PS2. Both in need of a serious remaster or remake.
Luigi's Mansion 3, picked it up sealed for £25. Loving it so far. Probably play some more Mr Driller Drill Land too.
Do you Europeans have a long weekend? I’m so jealous
On a shmup binge, (playing Musha on Genesis NSO, Vasara Collection, Angerforce Reloaded all on Switch and ZeroRanger on PC). Otherwise been playing through Mario Odyssey for the first time, and am 520 moons in. Didn't think I'd aim for 100% but it's such an incredible game. Also trying to get into the first Ori game, but finding it a bit slow after Guacamelee and the Metroid games.
Me:
Steamworld Heist: incredible game!
World of Solitaire: I´m in the "third picture" achievements. I love all five solitaire games. Love these touch screen brain games.
...................................
Wife:
World of Solitaire: finally she is taking a rest of Binding of Isaac. She is in the "second picture" achievements.
...................................
Daughter:
Just Dance 2021: online as usual
...................................
Me, Wife and Daughter:
Mario Party Superstars: we are having a blast with this game! The game is incredible. Best Mario Party i´ve played by far!
@Zuljaras
Oh man, I super miss Castlevania 64!
Reviewers weren't nice to that one, but it's one of my favorites.
@Vortexeo
Once you find out how to boost one's girlfriend in FF8, you've gotta share. Who doesn't want to know such important information?
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater (Dreamcast), Coolboarders 4 (PS1), Destroy All Humans remake (Switch)
Secret of Mana on the SNES classic mini
My nephew is visiting my house for the week and he has some physical games I don't, so I'm going through Splatoon 2 despite not being so interested in it, I want to do it as prep work for Splatoon 3 if I decide to get it.
Other than that, I'm finishing Kirby and the Forgotten Land before my nephew takes it with him and leaves me Kirby Star Allies.
This weekend I got a HDD for my Wii U, next week I'm probably getting some of the heavier eShop games I couldn't before like Metroid Prime Trilogy or Super Mario Galaxy 2, I want to finish backing up everything I have so far.
@eaglesfly76 Agreed Kirby's been alot of fun! I just beat the main story, focusing on clearing all of the post-game worlds now.
I get to have the very rare occurrence of my birthday falling on the same day as Easter this weekend, at least rare enough it's never happened before on my many rotations around the sun.
That said I'll have some cake and try and finish up Children of Morta. 20 hours in and pretty sure with a good lucky run I could finish, or at least I think, finish it but I'm still enjoying just doing runs and leveling my skills.
So many games to play. So little time.
However, when I do get time it’s…
DONKEY KONG: TROPICAL FREEZE
Going thru Hard Mode with DK whilst getting the blue KONG letters. Up to world 5-4 and the G is giving me a bit of gip!
YOSHI’S CRAFTED WORLD
Going thru trying to get all flowers. Up to 490 now. The game I play when DK dies for the 100th time. Lol.
The NES Classic -Final Fantasy, just took down the lich in Temple of Fiends past. And restarting Metroid. Nabbed the high jump boots, crappy ice, beam, varia suit, and several missile packs.
I have been playing Death's Door. Wonderful game!
@ogo79
She’s clearly playing tic tac toe by herself 😂
I recently got "Mickey Mousecapade" for the NES via Video Games Monthly, as well as "Sushi Striker" for the 3DS, and "Amagon," too... so playing those when I can. I also recently picked up "Battle Chess" for the NES in the box, so playing that as well.
I finally finished the sliver snow route of Fire emblem three houses and beat a boss battle in Xenoblade.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. Way more fighting-intensive than I had thought/hoped, but still a lot of fun! It's great exploring the variations on each character's fighting style; I tend to favor Urbosa with her quick and super damaging lightning strikes or Daruk for his ability to slowly build up a rhythm with stronger and stronger blows, followed by a massive torrent of magma, but each one has their own appeal. The story follows BOTW fairly closely, but toward the end gets a little... bonkers.
Kate Gray, let us know how you like the XSX and Elden Ring!
Played SMT IV and the Pokemon International Challenge this weekend, busy with the holiday though.
@Rainz lol
