The dust has settled a bit this week at Nintendo Life, but we've still had plenty of bits and bobs to talk about! The big releases this week include the delightful Chocobo GP, which we rather enjoyed, and the N64 classic F-Zero X via Nintendo Switch Online, which is also ruddy good. In other news, we received a lovely surprise when Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection was announced for later this year, and LEGO have announced an expansion for the Super Mario sets with the Adventures With Peach Starter Pack.
Now it's time to chill out and discuss our weekend gaming plans. A few members of the Nintendo Life team have done just that below, so feel free to give our entries a read and then join in with your own via our comment section. Enjoy!

Hey folks! So this weekend, I will of course be playing some F-Zero X. I have a slight confession to make, however... Ive never played it before. I skipped right over the N64 game and played F-Zero GX to death on the GameCube, but this will be my first time with its predecessor! I hope y'all can forgive me.
Elsewhere, I've jumped back onto the Resident Evil train yet again with the REmake, a.k.a my Favourite Game Of All Time. I'll probably blast through it this weekend and move onto Resident Evil Zero, but we'll see. I might end up just going right back to the start and do a playthrough with both Chris Boulder and Jill Sandwich.

Not much new on my end this weekend! I didn't make a lot of time to play Death's Door, but I am close to the first Giant Soul. I'm not great at the game yet, and that lack of skill is perhaps influencing my desire to procrastinate, but I'm enjoying it a lot! I'm a big fan of the writing in particular, which juxtaposes the morose with a dry but warm flavour of humour. I also adore the way your little crow twitches his head when you stand idle for a few seconds. So, yeah, I'm really liking this one, and it turns out we were right!
I'm sorry it's not F-Zero X or Triangle Strategy. I'm sure the NL team is wondering what I'm actually doing here.

Hello. This weekend, like everyone else around the world who owns a Switch and has any common sense whatsoever, I will be playing F-Zero X and F-Zero X only. OK, so I may make a little time to blast through some Cuphead – which I’ve just picked up in the eShop sales - and there’s a fair chance I’ll continue to get mercilessly bludgeoned to death in my ongoing playthrough of Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection (this game is VERY HARD) but besides these frivolous asides, it’s all F-Zero X, baby. Strap me in and let me feel those Gs.
It’s Gs right? When you...when go really, really fast in a futuristic manner? That’s the Gs. I’m a professional racing driver.

I'll admit I haven't spent much time with Switch Online's Expansion Pack, but this weekend I'm planning to change that with some F-Zero X. I've not really played much of this game since its last digital release on the Wii U believe it or not, so I'm looking forward to revisiting this N64 classic. I might also take a trip down memory lane with The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. Shoutout to Wave Race 64, 1080° Snowboarding and Excitebike 64 while I'm at it - we need these games on the service.
Surprisingly, F-Zero X isn't the only game I'll be speeding around in this weekend. I'm also planning to take a proper look at Chocobo GP. I never played the original games, so I'm looking forward to seeing what this modern take has to offer. I'm a huge kart racing fan, so I'm sure I'll be able to handle this and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's Booster Pass in the same month. Have a good weekend, everyone.

I recently picked up a copy of Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, and so far I’m completely obsessed! The open world feels huge, I’ve been really enjoying exploring every nook and cranny of the map. I’m going to continue my playthrough this weekend and try to catch up ready for the most recent DLC Dawn of Ragnarök, which looks fantastic!
This week also marks the 18th anniversary of the Monster Hunter series so to celebrate, I’m going to jump on Monster Hunter Rise. With plenty of new event quests, I have lots to catch up with. Happy hunting!

I fondly recall a time during the PlayStation days where every other week there was a new kart racer featuring famous names in the video game canon so I was quite happy to jump onto Chocobo GP. Like most games of this ever spawning genre it is not reinventing the wheel but I welcome this fresh new challenger to Mario Kart 8 crown. Time Loader is finally out on the eShop and is truly something special. The tribulations in Triangle Strategy continue, with some hard decisions already having been made during the week.
Game of the week is F-Zero X. And how could it not? The hardware upgrade from the original SNES game could not be more evident within this super streamlined, 60 fps smooth, speedy extravaganza, now looking sharper than ever. Once I unlock the X Cup, its infinite tracks for life, baby!

Not sure what’s gotten into me this weekend… but there are some very specific games my brain is craving at the moment. I think I can see a clear path, so I’ll try to dissect my thought process: of course, the new Kirby and the Forgotten Land demo is on the menu - and I think the inhale mechanic, essential to all Kirby games, gave me a hankering for jumping back into Luigi’s Mansion 3. From there, of course you think Mario - and it was MAR10 Day yesterday - so I’ve got some weird desire to go finish all of the post-game content in Super Mario Odyssey? And then, of course, my brain instantly wants to play all of the Mario games, so I’m sure Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, Super Mario 3D All-Stars, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, and all of the other Mario games in my backlog will make an appearance. And now you have insight into my chaotic brain.
As always, thanks for reading! Make sure to leave us a comment below with your weekend gaming plans!

My physical copy of Love Esquire just happened to arrive on the same day as I finished Triangle Strategy (which was really good) so I’m playing through that now. Pretty funny so far.
Aside from that, still playing some Touhou Spell Bubble and The Binding of Isaac: Repentance on the side as usual.
It’s mostly Super Mario Galaxy for me now but also some Pokemon Legends, Skyward Sword
I also restarted Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario World again for the millionth time :’)
On ps5 it’s Horizon Forbidden West
SWITCH
Pokemon Legends: Arceus - this has to be the best Pokemon game I've ever played! I'm on the third area now and I'm just loving it!
The Binding of Isaac: Repentance - still trying to cross off some of the challenges, some of them are really hard lol
PC
Not much on PC this weekend except for the usual Gmod/GTA Online shenanigans with friends!
Have a good weekend everyone.
Played Elden ring for 100 hours gave up at sol castle. Got my money’s worth very good. Waiting for skywalker saga as my next big game. Bit burnt out so watching walking dead season 2 xxx
Playing through Xenoblade Chronicles DE, already 12hrs in. Had always wanted to play the original game after enjoying XBC2 & the expansion.
XBC1: DE runs much better than XBC2 did in handheld, so much so that I haven't felt the need to dock it so far. Looks great on the OLED too, couldn't help myself and got one a few weeks ago
Playing Hob. Despite a couple of one off bugs I’m really enjoying it. Also a bit of mk8 deluxe.
On the Switch, been playing A LOT of Diablo 3 for some reason, and The Sinking City.
The big gaming excitement for me is the new addition to my Nintendo handheld collection: a GBA SP (AGS-101 model). It is in fantastic condition, as it was a friend's who gave it to me, and it has essentially sat in a box for several years. I have always wanted one, and so I can give my DS lite a break when wanting to play some GBA games.
The most important thing, though? Taking the kids to Grandma's house and going out of town with my wife for a night to celebrate our 10th anniversary being together (been married for 8). Yay!!
Mario Golf (online) mario party ( local)
still playing NiNuKuni2 which seem to get still better in the second half...and triangle strategy which is for me the perfect bed game ( it is not too butten mashy and is over all kinda cosy)
Going to play through Bayo and Bayo 2. Also need to put more time into Triangle Strat (not had much time to play it booo)
I played Switch games in the morning then 3DS games in the afternoon. 🤓
Switch
1. Animal Crossing New Horizons
2. Go Vacation
3DS
1. Yokai Watch 2 Bony Spirits
2. Yokai Watch 3 Tempura
Continuing tokyo mirage sessions #FE encore on the switch and after a few years of wanting to play it I finally started playing folklore on the ps3.
Also a bit of muse dash on the switch here and there
No XSX or ps5 this weekend.
Finally pulled the trigger on Haven the other day (alongside a charming puzzle platformer Potata) and I look forward to trying it this weekend - strongly enough that I temporarily yeeted Layers of Fear 2 to make room for it.😅 Naturally, that doesn't exclude other Switch plans - from the oft-targeted ones like Borderlands, Xenoblade duo, Saints Row, DerQ and Dragon Quest Builders to other potential mood ticklers like Bioshock 2, Rogue Aces, Bomber Crew, Valkyria Chronicles, Void Terrarium, King of Seas, Wildbus... okay, this comment is starting to sound more like a lowkey library flex yet again.😅
No laptop sessions this time, but DS/3DS and PSP/Vita libraries/stashes have the usual odds of seeing some action - Spirit of Justice, Endless Frontier, perchance more Rune Factory (which might chain an urge for RF4 on Switch as well - I blame today being a mere fortnight away from you-know-what), plus some SotN, God Eater, Gravity Rush and/or Blue Reflection... to fancy a few.
My Kirby marathon has brought me to Kirby Star Allies, where my progress is now dependent on whenever my co-op partner has a chance to join in, so things might slow down there a bit. Skyward Sword HD is back to my main Switch game, and I forgot how close I was to the end! I'll also be playing a bit of Chocobo GP for daily missions and things like that. I hope my progress from the Lite version will carry over to the imported physical release...
Outside of Switch... honestly not sure. Might start something up on the Wii U. I'm considering playing through the original Advance War now that the remake's been delayed. The GBA Fire Emblems are also pretty solid options. I should also really get back to .hack//Infection now that the GU remasters are out on Switch. Hopefully Namco actually sends my copy out soon...
Horizon Forbidden West, Babylons Fall and Atelier Sophie 2 on playstation 5 and just completed pokemon legends on switch but now got a lot of after story to do.
Just bought trine 4 on eshop, I already played and finished trine 1&2 on ps4, it's a great puzzle action platformer games. And also playing habroxia 2.
Already have both games on ps4 but I want to play it anytime with my switch oled 😃
Triangle Strategy on Switch and Guardians of the Galaxy on Game pass Xbox Series S. Loving both so far!
@Guitar_bard Congrats on the anniversary ~
And gah, I’m jealous, gave away my old GBA SP and still pine for its small form factor and smart design, a great little system! Plus the backlight was a big bonus back then
Shadow tactics: blades of the Shogun - Aiko's Choice dlc.
Tried out the MH Rise trial but after 3 hours I was bored to tears. Massive amounts of HP to widdle down is just not fun.
Probably more Hollow Knight, sWitcher 3 and Fortnite for me unless anything good goes on sale.
After beating Slime Rancher: Plortable Edition last week (probably my favourite game that I've played this year), I'm now playing Shift Happens (which I got on sale last year for a couple of dollars). Its not lighting my world on fire like Slime Rancher, but it's got solid puzzles, and it doesnt seem very long, so it's just a little something different for me to play until Kirby and the Forgotten Land releases. I'm also playing a little Metal Slug 4 on the side on my MVSX with my wife. Like always, I have a blast with this series.
A focus on the Switch, mainly MK8 Deluxe and Triangle Strategy. May also spend some on time on my Series X like continuing with Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
F-Zero X and Gran Turismo 7.
It's a good month for racing games, what with the MK8D Booster Pass, and that Chocobo microtransaction game I don't care about.
Triangle Strategy on Switch and a little of Nier Automata on PS4.
F-Zero X is cool and all but I'm still not paying for the expanssion pass, sorry.
@darkswabber I was just thinking of Folklore and contemplatingpaltingbit again yesterday. It's a game I started twice but got waylaid both times. Need to commit to it as I really liked the style.
After finally getting my shiny Shelmet after 750 eggs exactly, I'll be hopping between both Shield and Legends Arceus to see what other shinies I can find. I also just obtained the Shiny Charm in PLA so I'll be swimming in them at this rate (I've already found shiny Roserade, Aipom, Machop and Chatot so it should be fun).
Apart from that, I'll be giving F-Zero X a go as well since it looks absolutely mad (the death race mode sounds hilarious) along with a bit more Mario Bros 3 since I started that one up again for MAR10 Day and am keen to finish it out now (I'm on world 7).
Having played about 40 minutes of F-zero X on Switch I'm definitely planning to wait for Nintendo to patch the frame rate before I play more of it. Sometimes I can get through a lap with hardly any frame rate drop, but most of the time there's nasty stuttering that just wasn't there on the ultra polygon challenged N64. It's fun, but the frame rate is too poor for me to enjoy it (and it really affects handling, turning, and trying to stay on the track).
I'm playing GT 7, Rocket League, Dr. Mario 64, Dragon Quest 1 (which stutters badly on Switch, but my TV helps smoothen it out fairly well), Triangle Strategy/Serenoa Tactics, and Qix.
This week I will be mostly playing
Fire Emblem Echoes
Mario & Rabbids
@Razputinman Yeah, Arceus really is the best Pokemon game. It's so damn fun. Today I played some Shining Pearl and it's just unbearable after enjoying the faster battles and all the other awesome improvements in Arceus.
I will play F-zero X and GX properly, not on the Switch but on the original consoles. I will do some time attack session at Gran Turismo, some Smash Ultimate online tournament and try to beat my own scores at Bubble Bobble 4 Friends.
I'm still playing Atelier Ryza 2, but I find I haven't really been in the mood for it this past week. Instead, I've been dipping into Raiden IV (Mikado Remix), R-Type Dimensions EX and Rolling Gunner. Might start some G Darius HD today.
I downloaded Haven last night and will probably spend some time with that. Will also do at least one Ring Fit Adventure session.
I've also really been hankering to play some boardgames, so sometime this weekend I might play some Legendary: Marvel, Shadowrun: Crossfire or Dungeon Degenerates.
Ok so on the Switch Front I think I finally have the juice to finish Skyward Sword, I think all I have left are two dungeons so baring some Wind Waker esque triforce hunt I might make this a priority!
Over with me 3DS though, I'm trying to get into A Kappa's Trial. It's cute and so very Nintendo - but I am so so bad at it!! Lol has anyone else played that one?
I'm finally playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance. It's been on my backlog far too long.
@Guitar_bard congratulations!!!!!!
@wiiware I played through all of the Trine games last year! They were all such a delight - and frankly gorgeous!!! I know 3 has a bad reputation, but you should give it a shot if you can find it cheap! I rather enjoyed it
I’ll definitely be playing more Fire Emblem The Binding Blade - I’m over halfway through now, doing 1-2 chapters a day.
However, Guardians of the Galaxy popped up on Game Pass this week too, so I’m also giving that a go. Seems like a blast.
I decided to change the order of the games in my backlog and booted up Shin Megami Tensei V just to feel how the game is. The thing is I'm totally addicted to it now and can't play anything elese
For me it's Triangle Strategy on Switch and maybe some MH Rise and Horizon FW on PS5. So much to finish/play yet so little time.
But considering everything that's going on in the world right now that is not something to complain about.
Me and My Wife:
Me
Wife
I finally did it and unlocked the 4th stage shortcut in Spelunky, and holy cow was that HARD! The tensest, sweaty-palmiest gaming I’ve had since Celeste. Now I’m free to just relax and play normally and simply try to beat the game!
Platinum points bribed me to boot up MonHun Rise a bit yesterday, and reminded me how I really need to go back and play it more.
I learned about a little beat-em-up called Conan Chop Chop which is a humorous take on the famous Barbarian, so I’ve been trying out that demo and liking it.
Also I’ll probably finish going through the Kirby demo.
And then my physical copies of ESP Raid Psi and DeathSmiles I/II delivered from Japan and were well worth the long wait.
So more games than I can handle, as usual. I still need to try F-Zero X and Williams’ Indiana Jones table in Pinball FX, too.
Wishing everyone a fun weekend! 🙂
Yes I'll be playing F-Zero X. I haven't played it in a good while and it's still a blast to go through, the soundtrack is also better than I remember it being. Maybe I just realized that because last night I played it a bunch with headphones on and really got a feel for it!
Finishing Sniper 4 then on to either MHs2 or Metroid Dread
I’ll be playing Mario 3D world + bowsers fury, Wind Waker HD, and maybe some Ni No Kuni.
Fall Guys PS4, UFC 3 PS4 and Skyward Sword HD.
Elden Ring and nothing else😅
Noel and the Mortal Fate
I'm waiting for the hype to die down on triangle strategy. Or at least for me to stop falling asleep whenever I try to play it.
On Nintendo Switch, I cleared Arcade Mode in BLAZBLUE CENTRALFICTION Special Edition playing as Izayoi. Her story's ending was kinda weird, especially if compare to other characters' endings in Arcade Mode, imo. I've played a little bit of The Last Door - Complete Edition. If be more precisely, I started playing Season Two. Because I already had and cleared Season One on my laptop, when it was working. And I lose in School Mode in Danganronpa. Almost fully filled Yasuhiro Hagakure's report card. Elsewhere, I've completed Star Command and Evoland on Android. That's all what I've played on this week.
Triangle strategy and DKCR
Shiny hunting in Pokémon Legends Arceus continues, I'm well on my way to filling a second box. Might continue in Majora's Mask but that depends on if I can pry myself away from Pokémon.
Triangle Strategy. I am on chapter 8. I am pretty slow at these types of games. I think the timer on my file is over 19h. I had to retry the battle in chapter 7 quite a few times this week as I figured out a strategy. It has been fun though. I don’t mind the story/exploration bits at all.
I haven’t played any of the mock battles because I didn’t want to get too much beyond the recommended level for the main battles.
I used some consumables to get through the battle in Chapter 7. In games with items like this I am never sure if needing to use them is an indication of my strategy not being good enough or if you just sometimes need to use them rather than relying fully on healers to refill HP. It is just that using consumables can feel like just a means to lowering the difficulty and like it maybe is keeping me from learning some strategy that would be fun to learn.
I guess I would just appreciate a loading screen tip that tells me how to think about these items the way Celeste tells you how to think about the death counter and the strawberries and the way Metroid Dread tells you that “no attack is unavoidable”. I love these types of loading screen tips.
Wii U. New game saves for Tropical freeze and Windwaker HD. Both have great music.
A lot of Elden Ring & a little Tetris 99 & Halo Infinite
I'll be playing Elden Ring again this weekend. Also got our little guy Mario Party Superstars for his birthday. Looking forward to some family fun with that.
As far as the Nintendo Switch goes, I'll be playing F-Zero X via Nintendo Switch Online. Speaking of NSO, I'm also planning on firing up Kirby's Dreamland 3 for a bit as well, in preparation of Kirby and the Forgotten Land launching on March 25th. Outside of Nintendo games, I picked up WWE 2K22 for the PlayStation 4, so I'll be busy building up my universe modes as well. Oh and of course, there's also the Sandshrew community day event in Pokémon Go on Sunday.
It's gonna be a busy weekend of gaming for me.
Pokémon Shining Pearl's Battle Tower, the highest winning streak I've managed so far is 62. I'll likely play some Oddworld Soulstorm on PS5 followed by Kirby's Return Dreamland on Wii while I wait for Forgotten Land.
Mahjong by Microsoft (Android) - Closing in on my final gold medal needed for the achievement.
Dragon Mania Legends (Windows Phone) - Still plodding along with this.
Ridiculous Marathon (Windows Phone) - I think I'm nearly done with this now.
I have a 3 day weekend after working several weekends so lots of games for me:
Mario Kart 8 - I finally bought this on the Mar10 day sale. I also tried the free version of Chocobo GP but MK8 controls so much better that I ended up deleting Chocobo. I do wish MK8 had a story mode, but it's still a great game so far
Pokemon Brilliant Diamond - decided to get the cute Shaymin pokemon which was added and played some other post-game things while I was on.
Cotton Reboot - bought on sale recently; my first play of a Cotton game and it's quite fun. I love the art.
Evergate - pretty puzzler platformer I just pulled off my backlog.
Pretty Girls Breakers - I wish they would take away the irrelevant girl pictures (It's PG but they still seem weird/in the way) because the gameplay itself is cool even though far too short. I love the idea of a breakout game with a knight with a sword able to whack the ball at different angles rather than a traditional paddle. Some of the power ups are very neat too. I want a full-length breakout game like this.
Super Mario 3D world - I never 100%-ed this, but I was just watching the Mario streamer Ryukahr doing a playthrough and now I want to go back and play some more.
I need to get back on Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
Pokemon arceus , I'm in the second area but will be going back to first to finish all side quests and Pokedex items. Played some fzero. Not sure why that has been remade. So awesome.
I just finished Super Mario Galaxy last night, so I’m starting Galaxy 2 today. I haven’t played it since right when the pandemic began (unlike all the other 3D Mario games) since it’s not on the Switch, so I’m super excited to play it again. Currently it’s my second favorite Mario game, so I hope that holds true when I play it! I’m also playing more Fortnite with my friends on Xbox.
This Weekend i'll be Playing
Luigi's Mansion 3 (Switch)
Wii Sports (Wii)
Shin Megami Tensei III (PC)
More Mario & Luigi: Partners In Time this weekend (Didn't play much over this past week) with a little bit of WarioWare: Smooth Moves tossed in. I'm trying to unlock Super Pyoro in the latter, so I need to dig up the last few micro games I'm missing.
I'm also debating about starting a backlogged game on Switch...not sure what yet though.
I'll also get out for a bit for Sandshrew Community Day in Pokemon Go tomorrow since the weather is supposed to be decent, albeit windy.
Happy gaming!
Recently got fleeced by Nintendo and caved and finally bought MK8 for Switch 😆. The fleecing occurred because I bought both a digital and physical version of the game. I already owned it on Wii U so they’ve now got me 3 times! Fam had a blast with it last night tho!
I’m continuing my play through of DYING LIGHT and recently started Deaths Door which so far has been a really cool and challenging game!
Went on a hunt with my son for 1st time in MONSTER HUNTER RISE and we had a great time smacking around some Monsters.
Might check out the newly released Disney film Turning Red if time allows. Ordered some smoked bbq for the weekend …it’s outrageously delicious and will indulge in some current strains on deck …L.A Kush Cake, Freshly Baked and some Plum Dosi 😉 Finally will probably grab some more Comics, the new PUNISHER series is off to an interesting start!
HaPpY GaMiNG!!
Dysmantle on Xbox, over 100 hours so far. Will pick for Switch as soon as it comes out.
Playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and getting excited for some new tracks. I'll probably hunt some shiny pokemon in Arceus. I've been playing Kaze and the Wild Masks as well. I like it. Might just keep it as a week night game though.
Have a good weekend everyone.
@Aozz101x
Glad to see quite a few ppl playing Luigis Mansion 3, ive been eager to jump back in that game , it’s criminally under appreciated and not sure many have taken the time to complete it. I just purchased the multiplayer pack so good excuse to jump back in!
Happy Gaming to u!
@Donutsavant I enjoyed the games beautiful graphics, 2D gameplay, and storybook like story, I'm a bit disappointed with the third trine since it's 3D but I'm glad the series get back to 2D gameplay on it's fourth entry. I'm gonna try the third game if there's a good discount.
I’m on the final boss of Metroid Dread. In between the frustrations of that I’ve started my first play through of Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Can’t wait for part 3 later this year!
Last night I managed to finish Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna The Golden Country to 100% completion! I did this on ng+ so I maxed out everyone's new affinity charts as well! Honestly in my first playthrough I remember being very annoyed that they made side quests mandatory so I kinda just mashed through the text on most of them. However on my second playthrough I gave each side quest my full focus and I realized a majority of these side quests are actually pretty enjoyable and better written than usual Xenoblade side quests imo (outside of Xenoblade X ofc). The food contest side quest in particular was absolutely hilarious to me 😂
Playing more Triangle Strategy, and going to do some classic arcade gaming on my pc today. May do some Olympia Soirée, but I also got Young Souls, so I may play that. It’s a pretty open weekend so I may do more than I say I do here.
Disco Elysium. I started on thursday and already put in 14h (pros of covid +)
Rocket League. If I see any NL/Switch friends on racing Mario Kart 8 onilne I'll try to join them. Might play Mario 3D World or try Chocobo GP Lite online again.
Elden Ring, Elden Ring, aaaand...Elden Ring. That game has stolen my soul. Send help.
I've really been diving into games I haven't played in a while. Zelda BOTW, Pikmin 3, MH Rise.
I'm in that weird place I do in Pokemon games (and other games I really like) where I know I'm at the end but I stall so the main story doesn't end. I do anything but advance the quest.
@DarkCoolEdge
Oh man I need to really start Disco Elysium…it’s buried deep within the backlog. I believe there were 2 very recent updates that greatly improve the overall experience. Looking forward to this one, I believe the physical release is incoming soon?
It'll be an N64 weekend for me!! F-Zero X, Zelda OoT and Doom 64
Minecraft, Minecraft, Minecraft! Playing around with my newfound shulkerboxes and base building. Also, Contemplating getting Cuphead (Just finished the TV show), or Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle. Any Pointers?
Twilight princess. I have been slacking off the past few days, due to school but I am finally starting lake bed temple.
@Donutsavant Thank you!!
@Kintypoo121 I understand. I gave away 3 different DS's I had years ago, and now wish I had kept them.
@Donutsavant
There is something similar to the tri force quest. For the whole thing I spent about ten minutes in faron, 20 in eldin and 20-30 in lanayru. I isn’t as long as the trifle de quest taking about an hour in total, but it still is there.
@Marioman2020
I would pick up Cuphead if you don't mind a steep challenge, but honestly the art style is what makes me boot it up every now and then to make progress. I've barely touched my copy of Mario+Rabbids, but by all accounts I hear it's an excellent strategy game.
I went back to Atelier Ryza 2 recently and I forgot how addicting the gameplay loop is! I’ve been playing that nonstop. When I get bored of that I’ll play chapter 2 of Triangle Strategy. Hopefully I can finish a few chapters in that game. I’ll also play a bunch of Dead By Daylight with friends as usual. The new Sadako Rising chapter has been really cool.
I'm trying to get over my reservations about the generic title of Triangle Strategy and really dive in, and the visual style is certainly making it easier
Nostalgia also got to me and I played a bit of Skyroads and Chip's Challenge (level 132, slowly making my way to the end! Never beat it as a kid)
More Rocket League, Triangle Strategy prologue demo, and Monster Hunter Rise trial for me.
It’ll be mostly Elden Ring, but F-Zero X will get some races in for sure!
Playing Monster Hunter Stories 2 and Astral Chain
With Smash ultimate in between as well as Monster Hunter Rise with friends.
@TheRealMr_Carpainter
Thanks, Appreciate it!
Bought the DOOM Eternal expansion pass for Switch… but I haven’t actually started it yet, went back to a few missions to mop up anything I missed. Such a fun game.
Pokémon and F zero and animal crossing with a added dose of GT7 on PS5
Stuck in the lands between, searching for the shards of the Elden Ring
Playing and likely finishing Earthbound for the first time finally on the NSO SNES App. It’s charming and enjoyable, but I don’t think I’ll opt for Earthbound Beginnings after though atm.
Also picked up Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury during the MAR10 Day sale.
@tourjeff for the switch? I like those games and hope we get another one soon.
I played Neverwinter Nights on Switch almost all day and despite the negative reviews that were in all honesty completely fair as it is buggy and poorly optimized I still am having a great time despite that. It's just a great game for fans of the old Dungeons and Dragon style gameplay.
Triangle Strategy. It's good!
F Zero X loving this game! Will also be playing some more XCom 2. Other than that playing WRC 9, getting myself ready for WRC 10 release this week. Fingers crossed its further improved from 9
I finished playing through Earthbound 0/Beginnings to start the weekend. Loved the experience (despite the grind) and the music will definitely stay stuck in my head for awhile.
Almost finished with Metroid Dread, been taking it in bite-sized pieces. I’m sure there will be a long period of me being stuck on the final boss.
And started the demo of Triangle Strategy yesterday. I’m super impressed and will probably be buying it eventually!
@TYRANACLES yes, for the Switch!
I bought it when it was released but never had the time to play it properly.
Now, I'm giving it another go and it's been a good experience.
Highly recommended if you like this kind of games.
Been working on Dying Light for awhile. Probably take another 1 to 2 weeks to complete.
I tried the Lite version of Cocobo GP. Story mode had managed to put me off as soon as Moogle Racer X, or whatever his name is, started talking. I don't think I'm in the mood for that kind of cheesy dialogue these days.
I still might try online, but if you need to complete the story to unlock things in the full version, I'll be steering clear.
@tourjeff oh yeah I have put quite a bit of time into this one. I didn’t like it as well as the first two games but it was still really good. I highly recommend the dlc as you do get a fun new chapter in the story plus all the new characters you get. I had a lot of favorites to play as but my favorite team of 4 would be Storm, Wolverine, Cyclops, and Iceman.
@Rainz
I'm not really sure, I'm playing it on PC
But the game is awesome. Just know that it's basically reading all the time.
Too late for the weekend, but just here to say I played some Kirby and the Crystal Shards and started Phantasy Star 2 this past weekend.

K good to know! So would u say it plays more like a visual novel with all the reading ? As I thought there was voiced dialogue in the updated version. Don’t mind too much reading but I also don’t want to “read” a video game lol
@Rainz It is fully voiced (and very well). It's not exactly a visual novel, you move around and have to explore the world but, as I said, there is a lot of text/voice. If you like roleplaying and investigating, it's a must.
@DarkCoolEdge
K thanks for clearing that up! That’s about what I was expecting. I’m going in blind to Disco Elysium but based off your short time with it…it sounds like a gem!
@Rainz Glad to cost you money XD
