@Olrun I'm so glad, it really deserves to be a success!

@Olrun just finished 100% completion today and can confirm zero crashes or freezes, though there was one bugged enemy that got stuck in an invincible state while I was in a locked challenge room but I hadn't long saved so it was an easy reset. Only encountered it twice in the whole run through and it only mattered in that one room so I'd say that's pretty good going!

@Olrun yeah I've not noticed any issues but I'm not particularly sensitive to that kind of thing anyway, I don't think my terrible eyesight is even capable of seeing the difference between various frame rates 😅

@PikaPhantom Bō runs fine on my OLED but I'm finding the difficulty to be a bit intense, I've had to play on the "slowest" setting (i.e: easiest) for a number of very early game bosses since the game wants you to juggle yourself using complex controls and I just can't use my fingers that fast... at least not on normal speed.
It's not like I'm just a bad gamer either, I've completed most of HollowKnight's pantheons so I know I have some skill when it comes to difficult Metroidvanias but the controls here are quite taxing I think.

@sunspotty do they not investigate reports submitted in game via the lobby terminal? I report issues on there frequently so I'd hate to think that it's been a complete waste of time

@Chlocean people rag on the XCX soundtrack but some of my favourite Xenoblade music comes from that game, the Sylvalum night theme is exquisite

@Qwiff I'm expecting a deluxe edition of TotK as a launch title with extra story content, my personal wish would be the actual rebuilding of Hyrule but I don't think Nintendo cares much for that kind of concept

@Coffeemonstah huh I've been keeping an eye on Bō: Path of the Teal Lotus because I'm a massive weeb (😅) so I'm shocked this wasn't in our direct considering it's previously been confirmed as a Switch release, maybe they're having localisation issues? Hope it will just get a news feed announcement closer to the time and still release on that date because I don't wanna wait longer than Japan! 😆

@timp29 Stray has been out on other consoles for years, I think it was a game of the year nominee the year before last

I let the rumours get the better of me so I'm a bit disappointed not to see a Xenoblade chronicle X port announced, though I reckon we've got another direct coming in September before the console reveal next year so there's always a chance it'll be a winter release. Some excellent reveals otherwise but I can't shake that disappointment just yet

@UltimateOtaku91 @epicgamner I reckon we won't see the Switch 2 reveal until next year so this is probably a good shout, also keeping my hopes up that Monolith finally brings XCX to Switch 😅🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

The Xenoblade X port rumours got me and I'm annoyed I let them get my hopes up, oh well here's to the September direct I guess 🤷🏼‍♂️

@Ulysses I also voted for Okami! I've wanted a sequel ever since getting the Wii-make and showing it to all my friends because of how beautiful I thought it was 😆 well, still is! I think Ammy would make an excellent Smash fighter too, a man can dream 😅

@FirstEmperor I have never known "just about" to mean "nearly but not quite" and certainly followed by the word "beats" would imply the phrase meant it was close but still achieved, like the phrase "only just" would mean something was completed but done so very recently or by a small margin.

@Lizuka don't do it! Every time I've paid over the odds for one Nintendo has eventually restocked it, thankfully the total between the two is only £10 but that's £10 I would still have had I had patience and simply waited. If they ever restock poochy though... 😬🙊

@OctolingKing13 I have a feeling it'll be a launch title for the next console, a deluxe edition with extra story content. Can't decide if I think they'll put the extra content on the Switch version or not, they might try to funnel people to the new console by making it exclusive?

@Antray1984 I would be surprised if we didn't see some more restocks in future albeit smaller than this one, there are still certain characters missing in the lineup and it seems the demand for amiibo is still very much present. Nintendo would be fools to leave that money on the table.

@FX102A I think they were in stock relatively recently, some of the ones restocked this time have literally never been back in stock since they sold out back when they were released in 2017

Whatever they did to the matchmaking in this patch has made it orders of magnitude worse, I've never known so many disconnections and communication errors. Won a match and one of the players started sliding across the stage making a weird noise until an error was registered and it totally disappeared from my play history, bizarre

@UltimateOtaku91 same, almost every match I played was a mirror match and the one that wasn't seemed like my team left their brains in the lobby. Constant losses match after match is just not fun, I barely even made it out of the "fiend" stage but I admit my tolerance for enduring the torture of so many losses in a row is not high. I say this as an S+ rank and EVP 200+ player, so I know I'm not totally inept

Payment successfully taken from my account so I'm sure he'll arrive safely, then we'll see if Nintendo truly are done with Smash amiibo. Wouldn't put it past them to do some re-releases along with a few high profile "player 2" versions, female Byleth would be good for a start though I don't relish the idea of every fighter getting an alt 😅

@GarlicGuzzler I'm hoping there will be an update once all the events are over which will add the spirits to the general spirit board rotation, I missed the second event and spent two hours watching the board rotations so I'm fairly sure they aren't available just yet... based on events in the past though they do get added eventually.

@JimNorman I'm shocked you've never encountered it before, given the company your work focuses on is Japanese I would have expected that you'd had a bean paste filled mochi or had some on top of shaved ice... but no bother!

Red bean paste is a traditional Asian sweet made from adzuki beans and is called anko in Japan, it most definitely is not strawberry or raspberry jam. You often find it as a filling in pancakes called dorayaki or in those little fish shaped confections you can get from street vendors, it comes in smooth and "crunchy" versions like peanut butter but because the beans are cooked it's softer than the word crunchy would suggest.

@Wilforce this is specifically US unit sales, I believe the numbers you refer to are global unit sales. That's why this is news today because some consoles are more popular in certain territories

@RupeeClock I'm hoping some of the more recent amiibo get player 2 versions, female Byleth (can't believe this one didn't come out along with the male one!) and Pneuma coloured Pyra & Mythra would be perfect candidates and ones I'd love to collect!
