@StefanN no it's another game, I think they were in development around the same time Blasphemous released so they got a fair amount of flack for looking like a copycat... but it's vapourware at this point, I think it was originally supposed to come out in 2019 maybe?

I'm surprised Mineko's Night Market was given the opening spot considering how many times it's been in an indies direct and then just disappeared without trace, let's hope it manages to stick the landing this year finally

I loved the original but I'm unsure how I feel about the sequel, it seems... different somehow? Like it lost some of the charm of the original perhaps 🤔

@BenAV I get you. I will say though, this game sucks you in. I really never thought I was into games like this but it's just so brilliant I couldn't put it down until I finished it, and it's not overly long either. Well worth giving it a go if you think you'll enjoy it.

I'm not very good at rhythm games but the Zelda one was so good I think I'll have to give this one a go!

@BenAV it's an excellent game but if you lack the patience to try punishingly difficult boss battles over and over again then it may not be for you

@Nanami_Ataraxia unfortunately when you arrange a repair you have to sign a disclaimer saying you're ok with the fact they might not send you back the ones you sent in, I've heard too many horror stories of people sending neon joycons in (only to get grey ones back) to risk sending any special edition ones in for repair when there are plenty of places who'll replace your control sticks for a reasonable price.

@Nanami_Ataraxia you won't want to send those in to Nintendo, you might not get the same ones back.

@Dev9417 I found the whole weekend to be a total waste of time and effort, only had a handful of real matches against Nessies and of those handful only two were wins. Bigfoot appeared once in standard mode but the tricolour mode was a total bust, every match I played was against fellow aliens so I gave up trying after a while.
Really feels like Nintendo need to fix the 3 team concept, it just wasn't fun to fight against my own team all weekend and you can feel the missing energy when people drop out of matches seemingly on purpose because those matches are totally pointless. I'd rather wait longer to match an opposing team than spend 10 matches playing against my own team, this is the first Fest I've played where I didn't reach "ruler" status because I won so few matches. Constantly losing just isn't fun.

@WoomyNNYes I think it entirely depends on the "job" i.e. which weapons are provided and how high your hazard level is currently set. Some jobs are just way harder than others when crap weapons are on the rotation, for instance the one running at the moment is awful and I got demoted after a run of failures during the 1st and 2nd waves... a high hazard level plus crap weapons with a glowflies round at high tide? That's basically an instawipe in my experience.

I did notice something weird recently, I finally managed to scrape together enough silver scales to buy the pink slopsuit and following the subsequent expansion of the shop I was getting matched with way more players wearing white and black suits; no idea if this is related but I had a pretty good run of managing to get up to over 100 EVP every time I played (I usually play until I get the super bonus and/or my king salmonid meter gets emptied, then wait until the next job arrives) but this most recent job is hellish in the extreme

@RupeeClock oh that's excellent, I had no idea they'd implemented a new process. Hopefully that means I'll be able to drop my overpriced collector's edition order with ShopTo. Wish they'd done this for the bloody Xenoblade 3 CE that's for sure!
Do you happen to know if PayPal will be able to be used as a payment option? I know on some websites they don't let you use PayPal when pre-ordering but I can't remember whether the MNS does or not 🤔

@cpmh1234 Pokémon sales are always front-loaded in the extreme, the games come out and sell literal millions in a few months then the reality of the games' quality becomes an issue and the sales fall off a cliff. It's been happening like this for a decade, though admittedly I'm not caught up with the sales numbers of Scarlet & Violet just yet but it definitely happened with Sword & Shield because once the next games come around Pokémon fans move on.

I think it's a kind of addiction tbh, speaking as a reformed Pokémaniac 😉

@westman98 the last time Aonuma appeared in a direct it was because he was announcing the delay of this game, if I'm not forgetting any more recent appearances anyway... I think that's why I'm a bit cautious, well that and the fact that I'm a massive cynic 😅

@Bret Nintendo has been making this game for 6 years, there's no way it'll only be an asset flip. I'm convinced we're getting huge amounts of extra content (underground/caverns and dungeons as well as the floating islands) since the shrines are gone and the Wii U millstone around the previous game's neck is no longer an issue.

Oh god this is giving me 2014 (was that the year? I forget) vibes when he and Miyamito played the Wii U Breath of the Wild and confirmed possibly the first delay, this has me worried rather than excited.

The SNES ones are still showing in stock for me but I can't afford them until next week so I'm not bothering to get my hopes up that they'll still be in stock but then

@RupeeClock I'm desperate to pre-order a copy of the collector's edition but I have zero faith the UK store will do any better than with the XC3 one, which goes for upwards of 5x the original price on eBay now 🤬😡🤦🏼‍♂️

@nocdaes I've just seen a post on Facebook claiming the remaster missed out on the top spot by just 1000 units, which is pretty impressive if you consider the relative scale of the two franchises

@nocdaes if you read @Westman98's comment above you can see the relevance of why people are talking about Dead Space. Personally, I think sales in the UK are generally down as a result of the cost of living crisis so we should be celebrating the success of this somewhat niche franchise.

@MS7000 definitely unusual, I've ordered from them multiple times and nothing has ever gone missing... In fact I couldn't even tell you what their customer service is like since I haven't had need to contact them ever 😅
