Re: Xbox Boss Doesn't See Nintendo As A "Main Competitor" In The Next-Gen War

@Dezzy I agree with you there. I’ll be watching to see what the new consoles do and by 2021, make my selection. Certainly don’t need two boxes with 98% of the same game library under my television and I’m sure most consumers feel the same way.

I’m becoming less attached to physical media because I feel most games are one and done so as much as I like PS, Gamepass for 60 bucks a year is becoming more and more enticing.

Re: Moving Out, The Next Couch Co-op Game From Team 17, Relocates To Switch In April

@Anti-Matter This is an issue with a lot of games but it is interesting to bring it up because it is rarely discussed. I always assume if I buy a retail game from a certain region, the DLC will need to come from that region as well. Been burned by this before with AAA games, but I’m not sure about indie games because they are designed to be more universal (all language options in the in-game menu without the need to change region on the console itself).

In other words, I think most small indie games are exactly the same and options don’t change based on whatever region’s version you are buying, so DLC might also work the same.

Re: Comparing The Witcher Games To The Books Is Like Comparing "Spaghetti Carbonara With A Bicycle", Says Creator

The games and TV Series have encouraged more to buy the books, at least he has acknowledged that.

He does sound like an old man angry at the kids for not knowing any better when he talks about video games. Though he is right to say that books and video games are worlds apart. It’s annoying to see people comparing movies, video games, and novels all the time when they all should be treated as entirely different.

Re: Alienware's Impressive Switch-Like Concept UFO Wins Best-In-Show Award

I mean it’s cool and all. Basically it’s just a handheld pc. I think something going for the Switch is the simplicity of it all though. The games are optimized for Switch, made specifically for Switch controls, and come in cool little carts and boxes.

Gaming on a PC is great and all but it’s a device designed for other processes besides just games.

I mean part of the reason consoles are still selling is their simplicity and ease of access with playing games.

Re: Poll: Is E3 Still Relevant To Nintendo In 2020?

NotTelevision

It’s not as relevant as it was, but it is still the biggest advertisement for the industry of the year. It definitely had people from all over the world watching in 2019. It’s “irrelevancy” has been exaggerated for sure. The two weeks prior and after E3 everyone is still talking about it and giving their hot or cold takes.

Re: Feature: Nintendo Switch Ports We'd Love To See In 2020

NotTelevision

@hemonecrophagia Of course. I’m fine with ports of whatever on the Switch. We will definitely see many, many more in 2020.

It’s just this article and a lot of people in the comment section are just naming random games from the last 15 years of gaming. I kinda got burned by buying into the Prime Trilogy rumors a while back. That one still might happen I guess, but there is no point in sitting around with baited breath for every game you love to make the “Switch”. Just make the small investment required to play it elsewhere.

I can see the desire to want to play all the games you want on one platform, but it just ain’t happening chief. If you bought any sort of PC in the last 3 years it could probably handle the PS3/XBox 360 era games.

I can see a few more current gen ports making it to Switch. I’ll take the first one on the list. Still haven’t played Outer Wilds yet.
