@SpinEnDash I did some digging in the menus and was able to find the options to invert Y axis on the lock-on and for when using the control beam. It’s a bit annoying that there isn’t just one blanket option to invert Y, but at least I’ve done it now. Thanks again! 👍😀

Only a few hours in but am quite enjoying it. I’d give it a solid 7/10, but that could change. There is one thing I hope they fix - I always have to invert Y axis controls in games, which you can do in MP4 - but it doesn’t let you invert Y axis when using the lock-on. This means my up/down controls keep changing when toggling the lock-on, which is especially annoying in boss battles or when surrounded by multiple enemies.

I played it on PS5 and for the most part enjoyed it. One thing I didn’t like though is the way the campaign is structured. I put in over 70 hours and still don’t know how close/far I was from completing it. Saying that, the open world is gorgeous and the seasons is a nice touch that refreshes gameplay.

I haven’t played either of these 😱 I want to play them, but need someone to confirm for me that you can invert Y axis on BOTH games? I’m sure I read somewhere that in the original version(s) you couldn’t 🤔

Hades 2 is one of the reasons I bought a Switch 2. Glad to hear it’s reviewing well. Can’t wait for tomorrow! 😀

This is one of the reasons I bought a Switch 2, because I knew I couldn’t wait for the PlayStation/Xbox release! I Loved first game. Can’t believe it’s out in just a few weeks, and only $30!, for what will probably be a GOTY contender.

Forgive me if I’m wrong, but didn’t I read somewhere that one or even both of these games doesn’t include the option to invert Y axis? This would be a deal breaker for me.

I played it on Series X and thoroughly enjoyed it. Definitely underrated, mostly by all the usual Ubisoft haters. Glad it’s turned out well on Switch 2, though I won’t be double-dipping!

I would love a NEW wave race game that takes advantage of the Switch 2 hardware.

What’s the chances of a Hades 2 release date? 🤞

This and Hades 2 are the Switch 2 games I’m most looking forward to this year.

On Switch 2 I’m playing Mario Kart World. Still chipping away at the knockout/Grand Prix modes. Have done all 50cc races, now working through 100cc. Have just started a new play through of Zelda ToTK, S2 edition obviously! Also playing Donkey Kong Bananza, which although I’m enjoying, think it’s possibly a bit overrated. Today I just purchased Fast fusion, which I hope to fire up later.
On PS5 I’m playing Death Stranding 2. It was my birthday this week, so it was fun to fire up DS2 on the actual day to see “my” birthday greeting - typical Hideo Kojima 😂

Seeing as this week I treated myself to a Switch 2, I’ll mostly be playing Nintendo 😀 I’m quite enjoying Mario Kart World, though have mostly been working my way through the Grand Prix mode. Haven’t yet touched Knockout tour, which I’ve heard is better. Have to say, I love racing ON the water now rather than underneath, but this just makes me want another Wave Race game 😂 also playing Donkey Kong Bananza. Only a few hours in and having fun, but I’m a little worried the novelty of smashing everything may wear thin after a while. But I have faith in Nintendo and hopefully they will prove me wrong.
If I can pull myself away from my Switch 2, some Death Stranding 2 on PS5.

Just a heads up that in the Nintendo eshop it was £58.99 yesterday, which is actually lower than many shops. I don’t know if that was a preorder deal, or if it’s still that price. Amazon had already dispatched my copy when I found this out, but at least the cartridge won’t eat into my Switch 2 memory.

I finally caved today and bought a Switch 2, largely based on the reviews for this game. I bought the Mario Kart World bundle (of course) and a Pro controller. Just setting it up now.

I’m still on the fence on buying a Switch 2. As it stands right now there’s only 2 games I’m interested in - this, and Mario Kart World. Don’t know whether to just go for it, or wait until there’s a bigger library 🤔

I didn’t preorder one. Firstly, game prices. Secondly, not enough first party titles I’m interested in. Games like Cyberpunk I’ve played on other consoles. And I’m not that interested in Switch 2 upgrades of existing games. Maybe once some other big games drop, like a new Mario title, I may be interested.

Talking of which, where’s your review of Fantasy Life i?

Anyone know if the Switch (1) Pro controller is compatible with Switch 2?

On Switch I’m playing Mario Wonder, Risk of rain returns, and have just bought Train traffic manager, which is basically Urban flow but with trains instead of cars!

Looking forward to playing these tracks later today. All we want now is Nintendo to announce either booster course pass 2, or MK9! Though I think the latter will be a Switch 2 launch title.

I’ve been looking forward to this on Switch, and now it’s arrived I’m too busy with other games 😂 (namely Spiderman 2 and Mario Wonder). Will definitely play it at a later date though.

Pro controller. I play 99% of games with the Switch docked.

Zelda TOTK, Pikmin 4 and now this…it’s been a great year for the ageing Switch!

Even though I have a Switch, I don’t buy that many games for it. So far this year I’ve only bought Zelda TOTK and Pikmin 4. Super Mario Wonder is definitely another day 1 purchase though! Really looking forward to this.

I’m loving Pikmin 4 🙂 have just cleared Serene shores (I like to 100% an area before moving on) I love the way the game drip feeds you everything. I know some people didn’t like this “slow” approach, but it suits me fine.

This has been on my radar for a while after reading lots of good things about the PC version. The devs did say that a Switch version was coming in 2023, so it’s good to finally get a release date. Will check out the demo.

I was hoping for some news on the Switch release of Dave the diver. Oh well 🙄

I’ve stopped playing it now, got fed up with enemies killing me in 2 hits, regardless of how many hearts I have (doesn’t seem to make any difference). Saying that, I still got around 40-50 hours of play in so got my money’s worth! Don’t know if I’ll ever go back to it.

Congrats to Pikmin 4! Can we finally consider the Pikmin series mainstream now? I haven’t bought it myself yet, though will likely pick it up this week. Also great to see Hogwarts Legacy still going strong (#6) several months after release.

I didn’t even know this was a thing. I’ve never seen it in a shop. The only gaming mags I know of right now are Play, Edge and retro gamer.

I don’t know what’s going on at Amazon (UK)…I preordered this ages ago. I checked yesterday and for some reason it said it wasn’t coming until July 3 (next Monday), even though if you go to the product page it was showing as “in stock”. And I have Prime. So I just cancelled my original order, then reordered it. It’s now coming tomorrow (Friday).

Isn’t the next MK8 booster pack wave imminent? It’s been 3 months since last pack.

Going by the huge success of MK8 I reckon MK9/10 will be a Switch 2 launch title, hopefully along with Super Mario Odyssey 2 🙂

I hope a UK release date is announced soon. It still has a placeholder date of 31 December 🙄

That’s cos it’s one of the best games of the last 10 years. I played through it all inc both expansions on PS4. Currently replaying it on PS5 - can’t wait to get to Toussaint which will look gorgoeus

According to digital foundry this patch fixes most (but not all) performance issues. My copy is coming today from Amazon. Because of the install size I went for the physical version.

Wow…I didn’t even think Piggyback were still doing guides. What was the last one they did? I used to buy their guides - as well as Prima guides - all the time. Love a good game guide. Futurepress are probably the best ones right now, though they are few and far between unfortunately. I will buy this guide for ToTK, although I’m not getting the game at launch.

It’s interesting to see that in the character selection screen there are now 5 question marks! Are we to see several new characters across the final 2 waves? Wouldn’t be at all surprised to see Kirby join the roster.

Just wanna thank Nintendo for releasing waves 3 & 4 either during or just before a week off work! 😂 saying that, with 3 “tour” tracks my expectations are somewhat lower for wave 4. We’ll see.

@Bunkerneath I’m 51 (50 when the game came out) and I loved it too! We’re all kids at heart 🙂
