Re: Talking Point: Should Nintendo Do More DLC For Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Or Just Release Mario Kart 9 Already?

NicolausCamp

@rockodoodle Yes, I'm talking about the franchise as a whole. As far as I know, Switch is the only Nintendo console that has TWO Mario Kart games, and like I said, the mobile game is out and about as well. Mario Kart 9 for a Switch 2 would be in Nintendo's best interest to sell that console, considering it really is their biggest system seller, and they really don't NEED another one for the Switch.

@Dirty0814 Did you watch the trailer? It ends with box shots with ESRB ratings on it, and on the homepage that I linked to, no, you can't preorder the game there yet, but you can select a region, which includes the US. And lastly, it says on the homepage that the game will be distributed by ININ in "North America, Europe and Australia". They really have covered all their bases here and I can't see LRG swooping in here as there is no need at all to do so.

@Dirty0814 That's my point though, it's not only available through SLG, but also their subsidiary, ININ, who will distribute the game at regular retail, worldwide. You should in theory at least, be able to pick up the game at any retailer that sells games. No point in releasing a LRG release at that point.

Re: Team Ninja Says It's "Waiting" For Ryu's Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Invite

@FargusPelagius I'm actually thinking that it might have to do with Microsoft exclusivity. Think about it. Both Ninja Gaiden Black and Ninja Gaiden 2 are Microsoft-published games, where Microsoft was even a bit involved in the development, while the Sigma versions are distributed solely by KoeiTecmo. There could be rights and licensing issues holding those games back as well as lost source code.

Re: NERD Explains The Challenge Of Bringing Super Mario Sunshine To Switch

@MS7000 I'm guessing they were building an emulator not just for Mario Sunshine, but for future GameCube releases as well. If they get one game running, they can probably handle the rest as well without any major hickups. They can then be sold separately on the eShop, so the technology stretches further than just being limited to one single game.

Re: Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster File Size Revealed

@Ralizah I hope so too, but some companies have cheapened out quite a bit lately, and while Persona 5 Strikers is a new high-profile release, SMT3 is an old game, remastered.
EA pulled this with their recent Need for Speed remaster, and while Sega and EA aren't the same, I still get a bit worried when these things happen.
