Re: Nintendo Switch 2 Includes Support For Variable Refresh Rate Technology

@Gryzor pretty simple really!
First set your tv output to 540p and change the color output (don't remember what it's called but you only have 2 or 3 options)
Second: Connect your hdmi out to a hdmi to VGA adapter WITH a 3.5mm output jack (important)- such an adapter splits the hdmi signal in video and audio. You then connect the audio jack on the switch to the arcade amp with a simple 3.5mm male, 3.5mm cable.
Third: connect the vga adapter part of the hdmi-VGA adapter to a VGA gender changer (male to female I believe) and connect your arcade monitor (male vga out) to the VGA gender changer.
All in all you only need two little, cheap adapters and a cable and presto!

Oyea for the controller I use a brooks fightboard. It is a plug and play solution to map arcade buttons to switch buttons. Works like a charm. This one was a bit more expensive but worth it.

TLN3 on the C64 was a showcase for gaming at the time. 3d isometric viewpoint, beautiful animation and overall one of the best games of 1991. However, these games haven't stood the test of time in several ways. Great to see them ported to the switch but personally - some things are better left in the past.

Re: Talking Point: Are Nintendo's Exclusives Enough To Win A Next-Gen Handheld War?

It's simple maths, really. Nintendo's IP's are incredibly strong and the whatever current hardware is out at the time, these brands endure - irrespective of the platform. Also, powerful handheld hardware (like the steam deck) is too expensive for a company like Nintendo - it's a bad business decision for them. They would have to compete with PS5, Xbox series x etc, because people will then expect the new nintendo console to match the power of these platforms and that's a bad place to be in. Also, what people forget is that there is no going back to lower spec hardware ever again after that - not where you want to be as Nintendo.
Will the new hardware be a big step up from the switch? Absolutely. Will it be comparable to something like - say- the steam deck? Absolutely not. And that's ok because their IP's are and always have been what set Nintendo apart.
