@VanillaLake It's not that easy. The Wii/DS infrastructure didn't exactly allow patches. Even Skyward Sword needed a whole channel to fix that one bug. GameSpy ruined a whole lot of games when they shut down. Not even all PC games that used it were able to be salvaged.
Cartridges make a lot of sense. Optical media are really, really slow, and are bottle-necking load times, which is why Xbox One and PS4 games have to be installed on the HDD. Discs are becoming a thing of the past in gaming.
Why do I keep looking at these articles? These are just the same theories that have been going around since forever.
@Action51 The generic Link is -not- the Hero of Time. The Hero of Time is an established male Link, specifically the one in OoT and MM (plus mentioned in WW). Just wanted to point that out.
@Kosmo I get your point, but in this particular case the partnership would only have worked if the developer of this tribute used his own assets, characters and world, just like Ittle Dew. A Zelda 1 voxel remake only playable on a browser would never sit well with Nintendo.
If the creators would have created their own overworld I'm sure it would have stayed up longer. Nintendo does not mind fan works as long as they don't straight up copy their games and/or make money from it. This is why various Nintendo fangaming sites can exist without problems. The creator was practically begging for a takedown with this.
I feel a bit left out since Miitomo isn't available in Finland. It will take me ages to eShop+Miiverse grind my way to the Zelda Picross. Even if I log in to both every single week, I won't reach 1000 points until mid-June.
I liked being able to play with my hands further apart on the Wii. It was a new level of comfort. The placements of the buttons 1 and 2 were pretty terrible though.
The loss of his stars is a bummer, but can't he just reupload the levels or are they somehow banned forever? The least Ninty could do is explain why they do this (I mean in general, not just because of this guy).
They're going way overboard with the particle effects. Just look at Navi, or the sword during the spin-attack charge-up. Obviously the crater also has too many of them, but you already mentioned that.
@Kevlar44 Not a problem. My immersion was broken when I found out how it works and couldn't stop thinking about it, so unfortunately I'm unable to enjoy the Wii version nearly as much anymore.
@Kevlar44 I've had it for years and the last time I played it was about three weeks ago. I also thought it mattered but it doesn't. You think it matters because you want it to. Try it yourself.
TP's wiimote controls were not good for anything else than aiming. They literally mapped the GC A button to a waggle motion. It doesn't matter how you move it. Skyward Sword controls would have been too much effort to implement and wouldn't really have a place in TP since it wasn't built around that.
@KoopaTheGamer You will be able to sign up once the service launches. Bergsala has no say in stuff like this, they just take care of the distribution end of things. The pre-registration thing was meant for Miitomo (which needs a Ninty account).
I'm looking forward to this game. While it's not the Metroid we expected, it's still a Metroid I want to play. And why whine about it? I'm sure they're working on a big Metroid game as we speak. If you stop being entitled crybabies and just wait a little longer I'm sure it'll be worth it.
I understand why they would limit registrations for Miitomo since they're only launching it in 16 countries at first. Why I can't sign up for a Nintendo Account in a Nintendo Account-eligible country is beyond me.
Eh, it was never going to make it here anyway. Not that I agree with it. Removing it was not the ideal solution. I guess Nintendo doesn't want to deal with the obnoxiously loud PC police and concerned mums.
I have a 36'' TV and I usually sit about three metres from it. I personally haven't encountered this issue but I can see where the complaints are coming from.

Re: Nintendo Download: 30th June (Europe)
I can't wait to play as Marin. I already have the season pass, so I'm getting the HW/L DLC for sure.

Re: Devil's Third Online Servers To Close At The End Of The Year
@VanillaLake The Wii and DS situation was hardly Nintendo's fault though. Who would have guessed GameSpy would go defunct?
Re: The CEO of Level-5 Had a Hand in Dragon Quest IX Appearing on the DS
This game is still one of my favorite JRPGs. I love it.
Re: Free Rupees And Fairy Food On Offer To Celebrate Hyrule Warriors Legends DLC Launch
Hmm... I didn't get this message. Maybe I'll get it later.

Re: Nintendo Shuts Down Browser-Based '3D' Legend of Zelda Demo
@Kosmo Sounds like an even faster way to get a C&D to me.

I refuse to believe anything until they announce it.

My brother had Wario Land but he sold it. I never had a chance to play it, so I'm getting it for sure.

Oh, cool. I rated most of my games shortly after the redesign, so I don't have to do anything.
Re: Nikkei Report Suggests That Wii U Production Will End in 2016
@MysticX yes, of course. But Nintendo's word should still weigh more than some not-100%-trustworthy magazine's, no?

Ninty is denying it: http://nintendoeverything.com/nintendo-denies-report-of-wii-u-ceasing-production-this-year/

I only like SoulSilver. I regret transferring all my Pokémon over to Black.
Re: Nintendo Announces a Pokémon Direct to Get the Celebrations Started
Eh, I won't watch this one. I'm sure you guys will report everything in it. I'm not that into Pokémon. A normal Direct would have been better.
