If it helps the quality of the game then it’s a good idea. Sumo digital like a delay though don’t they. Aren’t they developing crackdown 3? That’s the most delayed title since duke nukem forever
@PACO_PEREZ but I have the game and I’m saying the grind is ridiculous. Imagine purposely making your game annoying just to sell additional unlocks. I don’t think that’s an ok practice for a game to have. Imagine you bought the new fifa and you were only given a few players and you had to unlock the rest through thousands of hours of grind. Would that be ok?? This is an arcade sports title. You have to play season after season after season after season just to unlock the players in a game you’ve spent money on. You can think it’s ok that’s your right but others are allowed to not be happy with it.
@Dom weirdly I thought the opposite. I thought the grind was massively excessive to unlock packs, especially for an arcade sports title. It really feels like it’s pushing you towards that unlock all players transaction through frustration. Maybe that’s just me though.
@bimmy-lee you are totally right. People often fail to realise the power of words and often throw them out without a second thought to what the effect of them could be. The great thing about pictures is that they freeze that moment in time forever and often looking back at them can take you to those feelings again. My son is a triple miracle then as he was through IVF as well:
@bimmy-lee thank you so much for the lovely message. It’s always nice to meet good people and connect. Yeah, the health issues are one of the reasons why I never thought fatherhood would be a part of my life but you never know what life has in store for you. I’m on twitter under @mrpepperami if you want to keep in touch on something other than a random Nintendo forum😂 Take care my friend and hope you have a great weekend.
@Nehalem so so true. I have a brother who has kids so I was an uncle before having my own and foolishly thought it would be a similar feeling but it’s so so different having your own. Life is so different once you have them but it absoluely has completed me as a person. Agree about the spoiling as well. Put the discipline work in early on or be in for a lifetime of pain😂😂
@bimmy-lee get out is well worth seeing alright. Hereditary is good and the acting is first rate it’s just quite slow and gets a little silly at the end. Same with me with descent. Couldn’t believe how much it affected me. The thought of getting trapped in the Earth was horrible. Andre Braugher is always good he’s a fantastic actor. The most terrifying thing about the mist is how people react under extreme stress and how quickly people’s morals and ethics can fly out the window towards desperation. Marcia gay harden was also amazing as the religious lady.
@bimmy-lee really enjoyed ‘it follows’ caught that one on streaming. Thought Hereditary was ok but overrated. If you like horrors set underground I’d really recommend ‘the descent’ unless you’ve seen it. Well worth a look. Not the sequel though. That’s pants. The mist was straight up amazing. That ending 😂😂 couldn’t believe it.
As for fatherhood. It’s by far and away the best thing I’ve done with my life. Never really thought I’d have kids which considering how much it means to me now still shocks me. Enjoy it all. I still remember doing night feeds yet that’s so long ago now.
@bimmy-lee yeah, they become a lot more independent around that age. I still have trouble letting go though. It’s all gone so fast. I’ll def get to cinema for this as the last horror I saw in the cinema was ‘the mist’ as I’m super picky with that genre as I was a manager for blockbuster many years ago(I can’t tell you how many films I’ve seen). I’m also a HUGE carpenter fan(the director not the group😂). Hope you can find the time to get to the movie. Good luck
@bimmy-lee from what I understand this one is set after the original and retcons ALL the other sequels. So as far as I know according to this movie H2O never happened I think. So confusing these days😂
@jhewitt3476 the new Halloween movie is out so I’m sure it’s part of the publicity for that. Anything to make the monotinous interviews a bit more interesting I guess.
Good sales numbers. No major uptick in system sales though. Guess it really will be down to Pokemon and smash to try to get anywhere near those estimates.
I’ve really enjoyed the Wii u ports and surprisingly have been the highlights of the year on switch(other than indies). I’ve found the new Nintendo content all to be missing something and a bit rushed. They are all 75% ers if they were to be rated. Good but not quite great. Like they needed a bit more time. Think that will change with smash and probably Pokémon though.
I get that this version of Konami has little to no interest in developing games but how hard is it to collect some roms together and put out some collections. Surely they must know that they would make money out of it. It’s crazy that they aren’t doing anything with their back catalog.
@geordie exactly what I was gonna post. Surely the onus is on Nintendo to communicate the things people would want to know about the service BEFORE launch so people don’t speculate wildly.
Kind of a shame. The original PSP was excellent and had a lot of great stuff on it. While Sony dumped the vita way too early and left it to others to build it to what it became. Good news for Nintendo though.
Great stuff. Looks like they are really pulling titles from every corner for the ages treatment. Hope they get to port that Golden axe revenge of death adder at some point. Oh and all the outruns not just the first
Jeez how bad is Nintendo’s online security at the moment. Does this happen on Xbox live and psn all the time as well and just doesn’t get talked about or is Nintendo’s just terrible?
@Razer it’s hard to tell. Know what you mean though. Nintendo aren’t exactly helping themselves though. Pretty much every feature has some kind of caveat to turn it into a negative. The NES games thing though totally doesn’t bother me but I want a basic service done right.
@tedko yeah that’s potentially what me, my brother and some friends may do. None of us are particularly in a rush though. It’s def the best deal on offer.
@LeFooly all I want is easy communication between people and voice chat, Stuff my Xbox did back in 2002, and I’d give them 20 hell I’d give them 40 for it. Call me spoilt but I’ve come to expect certain things with an online sub. The games I really couldn’t care less if we didn’t get any. I just want what I consider the basics done right.
I honestly don’t know why people can’t let others have a different opinion without insulting them or calling them names. The value of the service is fine I guess but as an online service with regard to communications and a few other things it’s massively behind. The whole thing is just a bit ‘meh’. Really thought it would launch with a bang.
@Axlroselm AvP is brilliant. Hopefully if this sells well they will be more inclined to try and sort out the licensing on some of those other ones and release a volume 2. Fantastic games
@Alantor28 you’re whining about whiners. People are allowed other opinions calling people whiners is just childish. Why not put an argument to why you think it’s so great. Why bother when you can call people whiners or the other cool phrase of ‘entitled’. Grow up
I’m holding off for now as there isn’t enough there and of sufficient quality for me to pull the trigger. Giving up only a selection of 30 year plus NES roms ive owned a million times over is not luring me in but the biggest no no for me is the voice chat thing. It’s unexceptable for me to be paying for an online service but I basically have to phone whomever I’m playing with just to be able to communicate. It’s 2018. It’s so ridiculous and should be standard.
Also I’ve just seen that Nintendo have gated off the purchase of the NES controllers to online subscribers. Is that meant to be seen as a bonus? The ability to pay over the odds for some NES pads. Oooooooo sign me up
Made total sense for this one to be the next big franchise to come to switch. Nintendo are being clever and bringing all the big hitters to switch as early as possible to really push the console. Hopefully after this we can bring some love to the smaller titles that don’t spin as much money like fzero, punch out and the like.
@geox30 yeah I was fearing 40 or something but I looked it up and saw a posting with it announced on all three platforms at 19.99. Makes it a must own really
This is actually the title I was most excited by in the whole direct(other than luigis mansion 3). Incredible collection of top notch beat em ups. Def buy
Too expensive for me for what it is. Also as much as it pains me I’m in no rush to get the online service it’s just not good enough for me to pay for that.
