@Regpuppy totally agree. No chance of a new Mario Kart anytime soon with the sales it still has. Most we could hope for is DLC, which would be nice. Think CTR will be very good and am looking forward to it. Sonic team didn’t trailer great but hope I’m wrong

@ThanosReXXX I know right. Some people saying 90s shooters haven’t aged well. Well I think Doom, duke nukem, half life, powerslave(exhumed) etc etc are all still a lot of fun.

I was gonna get these but I can’t support this kind of price hike so I’m out until it’s drastically reduced in a sale probably years down the line. I’ve got these on other formats so I won’t be hurting. Capcom needs to stop with these kinds of practices.

Sorry but trials isn’t even the most taxing game with regards to power needed. We are hardly talking about Doom here yet look how that turned out with the right people and effort. That’s just a poor poor port and they shouldn’t release it in that state.

@Gs69 think it’s mainly the d-pad that’s it’s main flaw. It’s kinda small and sharp. Should have just copied the Saturn’s one as that’s amazing. Also the cord coming out the bottom is a bit awkward

Is the ship racing the star fox GP thing we’ve all been expecting?? Surely they can’t have that mode and another star fox racing game coming.

Wow that is one packed summer. Def getting Zelda. Initially not sure of the art style but I’m sure I’ll get used to it and the game is superb anyway. Hoping for Metroid trilogy for end of year now.

@Dringo exactly that. LABO was expected to shift units and be a lot bigger than it ended up being. Think it would have done better with more competitive pricing as I think the units were overpriced in people’s minds due to it being cardboard.

@CairiB think that’s pretty unlikely. His company is pretty small and puts out small mobile games. I’d expect whatever he’s making to be for the mobile market and then potentially ported over to the switch.

Not surprised. I’ve got a friend out there who hasn’t had a Nintendo console since the super nes and even he has gone all in and got a switch with smash, Pokemon and Mario tennis aces. Nintendo are reaching gamers who haven’t gone near their products in years. Here’s hoping it continues.

The target was too high but fair play Nintendo gave it a good go. Hopefully a direct will fill us in on what’s in store this year soon.

Don’t know why anyone is surprised. This is par for the course for us. I’m surprised if it’s actually on the cartridge these days.

Considering the sales new DLC would be a great idea for this. The interest is clearly there for the title so why not add some new characters and some new tracks I’m sure it would be a money spinner. Think the same should happen with super Mario party. That has sold extremely well and should be supported with new boards etc

Wargroove looks great and dreamworld looks interesting. I think there has to be some variation on the visual style of some of these games going forward as I’ve got fatigue of that kind of graphical 8-16 bit look. They are kind of blending together

@tourjeff it’s not just eurogamer. A LOT of reviews are saying it’s repetitive and boring which is a massive shame. May pick it up on discount. Maybe it’s a marmite game, you either love it or hate it

Will pick this up for sure. Loved the original series. Hopefully if this sells well enough capcom might do a modern one.

It can’t be costing them much to port these games over so maybe it’s still profitable for them even with the low sales. I mean Luigi mansion was a GameCube game, epic yarn an original Wii one. Can’t be too hard to get them over. The only strange thing is if possible they should be made available on switch as well. Think they would sell quite well.

@huyi well they do it’s just years down the line when they do the ‘classic’ or ‘select’ or whatever they call it range of best sellers. They do it with pretty much every system eventually.

As much as I love these new super Mario bros games I really think they need to get a bit more creative with them and change it up a bit going forward. They are starting to feel a little bit stale. Will probably pick this up when it goes to the inevitable switch version of ‘Nintendo selects’ as full price is a nah for this.

@WaveBoy loved wario land shake it. That game was beautifully animated as well. Could do with a new wario land to be honest. Been a while.

Looks absolutely wonderful but it looks like they phoned the story in. Standard Gems/keys/whatever objects to collect over different worlds. Nothing new. Will still get it and I’m sure will be lots of fun though.

Nintendo have always been a duel prong system company so I do wonder if they will try to replace the 3ds with something else whenever they call time on it. Maybe a download only handheld which you can download legacy content or are they seeing mobile phone gaming as the second prong in the future.

@Frenean god I love the game boy advanced. What a fantastic handheld. So many hidden gems on the thing as well. Embarrassment of riches.

@Heavyarms55 it’s not that they hate Nintendo it’s just that unlike america Nintendo never saved the video game industry over here. The NES was an also ran. I had one as a kid but most other people had Sega master systems or micro computers(which sold millions). It was a much more competitive market and Nintendo never were at the top. Always bugged me as a kid as I always bought the Nintendo stuff but only a few ever had them.

Really good numbers for Nintendo especially as the uk for Nintendo is a weaker market and is open to growth. Expect a stronger 2019 with the line up, we think, is coming

@WaveBoy completely agree. NES at 11 out of 13 from worst to best is utterly stupid. That console changed everything. The original gameboy also shouldn’t be that low

Been waiting for this as I’d not seen any change in their policies. You have to have some kind of cancellation or refund policy. Just stating you can’t get a refund doesn’t mean it’s legal. I love Nintendo but I hate that it still does these kind of things here and there. With a customer base as loyal as Nintendo fans why not be a bit more pro consumer about it. Look after those who look after you.

@tourjeff yeah that is odd. Bit I’ve checked the site and it is still up there but as I said it says coming soon rather than June for the switch one. If it had been totally canned surely they would have removed it. Maybe they thought seeing as we have mario Kart 8 we can wait. Not great though, was looking forward to it to be honest
