Re: Nintendo Still Expects To Hit 100 Million Switch Software Sales This Financial Year

MongolRaider

@BlueOcean I didn't see any numbers on those charts. It's showing up as N/A for me. What I do know is, Xbox 360 version sold 2.5m copies alone out of almost 4.5m. 2nd got close to 3m sold. Those are not massive numbers by any stretch, but the 3rd one is 10 years in the making. Couple that with a bigger gaming audience, and being exclusive to Switch. Not saying that will push Switch over the edge of 100m, but It may help grind out the numbers. It could get 2m copies or more for Switch, who knows? With that announcement, I'm just wondering if there's more we don't know about. Either way, I really think Nintendo should come out with a more powerful revision, instead of treating it like the DS family systems. I just don't think it's going to cut it, if they have a new version with same specs and smaller screen. That might work for Japan but not the whole mass market.

@BlueOcean lets just hope we're wrong. At the time I made that prediction, I wasn't counting on MUA3 being exclusive to the Switch, or it even being out at all. That is a wild card, and could potentially sell millions of the Switch by itself. Going by some anecdotes on youtube, I've seen some Microsoft and Sony only fans say "they now have to buy a Switch." I've also seen some haters say they will never buy a Switch, no matter what. Of course anything can happen.

Re: It Looks Like Fortnite Is About To Do A Minecraft With Its Own Creative Sandbox Mode

MongolRaider

If/when I make a game, and decide to send some invitations to a select few to test before its release, I will know not to be handing one over to this Lachlan fella.

On another note, Epic should fix the Switch version of Fortnite before adding in a new mode. My son wanted me to help him earn all the rewards for season 6, but I just couldn't do it. It's almost unplayable now. When it first debuted on the Switch it ran pretty stable. No excuses with all the billions Epic is raking in off this game.

Re: Switch Game Sales Make Up Three Percent Of Ubisoft’s Total Earnings In Second-Quarter Of 2018-19

MongolRaider

@johnvboy Oh, I would have to disagree with that. If they release quality games, they will sell. Just look at sales of some 5 to 7 year old ports. Those are just people double dipping, or in some cases, triple dipping. The Switch is much different from Wii and Wii U, in that it attracts gamers to not only the handheld side, but the console side as well. I think you underestimate the power of convenience.

Re: Reggie: N64 Classic Mini Is "Not In Our Planning Horizon", But Wouldn't Ever Rule It Out

MongolRaider

By the time the N64 launches, all the rom sites will be shut down. That's if we ever see the console, though. As much as I'd like to see that happen, just don't see it. Besides, N64 was created as a multiplayer machine/with 4 controller ports, so they will either need to supply it with 4 controllers, or package it with 2 and sell the others separate. That would be expensive as hell, plus all the licensing issues on top of it.

@Woosh193 @Woosh193 Hello fellow Raider fan. If you're having some trouble, try summoning another player, or Solaire of Astora, if you have already found him. I would also recommend grabbing a good early game weapon, like the gravelord sword, (near Firelink Shrine in the catacombs) or the Drake sword, found by the dragon bridge by cutting off the dragons tail with some arrows. The Gravelord is pretty powerful to start, which can get you through the end game, but there are better weapons elsewhere. Good luck

Re: THQ Nordic Announces Another Three Games For Switch, All Launching In 2019

MongolRaider

Thanks THQ, but I already have Sphinx on the Gamecube, and the other two I can easily buy for $5 to $10. If you have retropie, they can be had for free. DS3 would be something to get excited for. Excuse me for not gushing over the latest retro game, or low budget trash being released on the Switch. I thought the Switch would be more than that, but I guess I was wrong.

Re: Nintendo Adds Trio Of Games To Switch Online NES Library Next Week

MongolRaider

@KoopaTheGamer I think people want more than just Nes games, since most probably have played those to death already. Instead of the initial 20 Nes games, why not just start out with 15 Nes, 3 Snes, and 2 N64. Why do they all have to be just Nes? I see where Nintendo is going with this, though, like what Sega wanted to do years ago, but they're going at a very slow pace. I'd actually be willing to pay more for a service like that, but what they have now doesn't seem worth it to me, even for $20.
