Re: Indie Beat 'Em Up I Am The Hero Is Smashing Its Way Onto Switch This Year

Will this game be free when it comes out? If it is, then I still don't want it. I hate to say that, because I know someone spent time on this game, but at the same time, I have to be honest so they know to do better next game. If that trash of a port Street Fighter 2 sold 500k copies on the Switch, more by now, who knows, maybe this will get a few hundred k sold.

@IPrino It would sell good in Japan, but I don't know about the west, since Tri didn't do too well on the Wii, considering the install base. I guess it would probably sell well enough in Japan alone to meet those sales. Keep forgetting the Switch is a handheld as well, maybe because I rarely play undocked, so I think it would sale decent in NA too. Wow, that was a complete 180 for me lol.

Re: Ubisoft Is the Leading Third-Party Publisher on Nintendo Switch

@westman98 That was weak, just like your standards. Figured as much. I guess one man's trash is your treasure, right? Hey, I hear Ubisoft is coming out with another exclusive title for the Switch called Splinter Zelda: Mariobliss. I think you will like it, no, I mean love it, considering how big of a sheep you are. Have fun with your 1st par, err, I meant 3rd party trash!

Re: Ubisoft Is the Leading Third-Party Publisher on Nintendo Switch

@electrolite77 It's a man trapped in sheep's clothing. I't's 3rd party, but it's a Nintendo game all the way. That's something I expect to see from Nintendo, not from a 3rd party developer. If you can't see that, then you're in some serious denial, my man! Really, the only reason Nintendo gave Ubisoft permission to begin with is because Nintendo knows most fans won't even bother buying third-party titles unless it's got some cutesy, cuddly characters in it. Not Nintendos fault at all, they're just stuck in a time bubble because fans won't allow them to leave it for the most part. Funny you mentioned that Bethesda only brought 2 ports for the Switch, but act like like Ubisoft put some new releases out? I'd much rather play Doom, Skyrim, Wolfenstein 2, and possibly Fallout 4, over 2 dancing games, a Monopoly game, (which are not games, btw,) and port of Rayman Legends. Of course the Mario game is exclusive, why wouldn't it be? Besides, it's an uninspired, copy and paste Xcom game with Mario and Rabbids in it. I'll take Mario Odyssey over that trash any day. Also, with Bethesda, they gotta start somewhere, and they even said they're not done supporting the Switch, not being vague like Ubisoft.

Re: Ubisoft Is the Leading Third-Party Publisher on Nintendo Switch

It has Mario in it, so it shouldn't be considered a 3rd party success. If anything, it's more of a 1st party title than a 3rd party. Some people are blind that way, and will buy anything with Mario on the front cover. In my opinion, Ubisoft scammed people into buying this game. I will never buy Mario + Rabbids for that reason, because I expect Nintendo to make a Mario game, not a 3rd party developer. Also, I consider Bethesda Nintendo's biggest supporter right now, not Ubisoft.

Re: Rumour: Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Might Be Spinning Its Way Onto Switch

MongolRaider

@ValhallaOutcast That's because the install base is not big enough atm. Only Nintendo games, and I think Rocket league have sold millions so far, but once the install base jumps up, Crash Trilogy will probably sell a million or more. That's not a bad thing in most cases, but it will be in this case because it will only create a major influx of games like this on the Switch. Why should developers even bother putting time and resources for new and bigger games on the Switch when they can just port simple older games,(example: Street fighter 2) and make quick cash?

Re: Dead Cells Is Coming to the Switch Later This Year

MongolRaider

Another day, another indie game for the Switch. This one looks good atleast, but where are the AAA 3rd party games at, other than Wolfenstein 2? All this talk about developers wanting to support the Switch, but nothing in sight, unless they're talking about putting their lower tiered games on it, like EA is doing with FE.

Re: Feature: The Biggest Nintendo Switch Retail Games of 2018

MongolRaider

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, Dark Souls: Remastered, and maybe even Attack On Titan 2. Not interested in Metroid Prime 4 as it will be another Halo clone, and the other games look like they're for the kids. Looking for something different on a Nintendo console, because I'm getting tired of all the cutesy, colorful games.

Re: Sonic Forces on Switch Has Solid UK Launch as DOOM Moves Up the Charts

MongolRaider

Nintendo fans really should support Bethesda and buy Doom. I know it's been out a year now, but it shouldn't matter when Street fighter 2 Turbo sold well for the Switch, even though it's a 20+ year old port. A trashy, overpriced port at that. Bethesda did a good job on Doom for Switch, unlike Crapcom. I bought the Switch with Doom over Mario Odyssey, just to show some love for a company that shows love for Nintendo, and because Doom is a fantastic game. I'm a rare breed Nintendo fan, but tbh, I think most Nintendo fans are kinda selfish and only think short term. It's takes 2-3 years or more to make a decent game, especially the scope of Odyssey, so it will be impossible for Nintendo to be the only major developer, other then indies, making games for their systems. Like huge droughts for the Wii U.
