So..this is quite curious to me and having me wonder if we’re going to have a Warframe/Destiny situation on our hands once again.. I say this because this HEAVILY gave me SoulFrame vibes..both seem to be inspired by Princess Mononoke among other similarities..don’t get me wrong,I understand the world is a big place and multiple people can have the same ideas/ inspiration at the same time..but this is just what happened to cross my mind
@-wc- oh noooo, not the atm machine lmfao that one is a pass on me🤣🤣🤣
Oh man🤔 trying to keep it short,I’d have to say the Dragon Quest series,Super Mario RPG, the Tales series,Borderlands,Bethesda (Skyrim,Fallout)and a few others I can’t think of at the moment just because my brain is in shut down mode (just got off work) lol
@Tyranexx if I may make a suggestion, try out Tales of Symphonia (GameCube,NOT Switch if you have the option) ,Tales of the Abyss and Tales of Vesperia are all solid choices
Docked: Between PS4 Pro* & Xbox Series S* before DLSS with more modern hardware than the former
RAM: Slower than PS5 & XSX|S in the speed department, but more capacity than XSS. Should have 10.5-11 GB of RAM available to games going by the Switch 1's RAM allotment for its OS.
Storage: UFS 3.1's max speeds should be a hair under XSX|S (2.1 GB/s vs. 2.4 GB/s), still plenty fast even if not maxed out.Lines up with what Digital Foundry & NateDrake heard about decompression techniques & fast load times of the BotW tech demo (respectively for each source).
= Not only is the Switch 2 ARM-based rather than x86 like the systems compared, it's also Nvidia vs. AMD. There are plenty of factors at play to where it's not an apples-to-apples comparison. Plus the native Tensor cores of the Switch 2 will allow for DLSS, letting the system punch above its weight & decrease the size of the gap between it & the XSS. Nintendo could throttle down the SoC to the floor, but I'm not sure it'll be a doomsday scenario since this is a custom chip to begin with

It’s sad really. They know they’re tanking hard too because everywhere I see, they’re HEAVILY pushing the cast in a “look! ____ is in the movie! Come see it to see them!” manner.
@russell-marlow given that the multiplayer was absent from the switch releases,Rage Wars would be a smart move. Might not do that great on other consoles but for the switch alone,I’d say it’d be easy money
I would love if gears of war was released on switch. Though it he one I really want but HIGHLY doubt to be ported is Fallout 76. Loved it on PlayStation, but because of family life, switch is my absolute main console atm.
@vio I would say it’s worth another shot. It is extremely difficult to get into because it basically b****slaps you with the amount of content there is with no real guidance (The wiki will be your best friend) I was the same way, tried it off and on for a good year before everything clicked. 2500 hours later,it’s easily one of my favorite games.
@vio If anything,I’ve only seen the player base grow, even if you single out the switch. And with this coming update,it’s sure to bring people back, especially with Cross-Save being a thing
A little QOL,but I'm so happy they added the ability to loot herbs without bringing up the menu. That was one thing that really turned me off to this game,as I'd just run past them because I didn't want to deal with the hassle of moving>stopping>menu>loot
Yeeaaah these leaks are gonna be crazy now that Microsoft has released info on the ongoing development of the successor. Since then,my notifications have been swamped with "leaks"
@Greatluigi You'd think they could do that, but so many words and terms get flipped around, that potentially one day ,some random word could mean "**** ***** ********"to which Nintendo would be like "WeLlLp...🤦♂️sigh"
"Difficult to proceed "how exactly? It's been a minute since I've played, but I've not spent a penny on this and "proceeded" just fine. It's not like there are individual stats per character/cart/glider...so im a bit confused on this one.
Maybe it's my experience,But the lightening seems to be toned down as well. Botw, nearly every time it rained,it seemed like I was swapping my gear so I wouldn't be electrocuted. Totk,it seems like less lightening storms thus less time in the menus
@Chaotic_Neutral Not exactly. While you CAN build such things, they won't stay for long. Blood moon will reset it or if you exit the game entirely,it won't be there when you come back.
@Spider-Kev while I'm all about saving money,Half off is asking a little much. Just because it's Digital doesn't mean there's less effort put into it by those that put their work into it. That said,I'd be more willing to say they should knock off about 8-10 off the purchase since you're not paying for the additional resources (carts, cases)
@Tasuki I actually expect this one to be sticking around for awhile. Overseas, monster hunter is just as popular as pokemon if not slightly more. And if it follows the same idea as Go(walking, finding more monsters) and the general MH guidelines ( crafting loop, taking on bigger monsters) it could ,potentially, be a hit
This has a 50/50 stance with me. I mean I understand that there are people that could potentially be playing this game from their couch, thus taking away from what they intended and kind of slapping those whom do play it as intended in the face. So I can understand this kind of a ""balance"" However, there are people with a situation that cannot play this game as intended,be it location or some personal situation, and doing what they are doing will limit those even more so which would surely cause them to lose a good amount of players. Damned if they do,damned if they don't. But! If they feel the need to ""balance"" it,they need to stop throwing MULTIPLE restrictions. Leave the pricing alone. Leave the amount of passes used in a day alone. Cut the rewards in half or even possibly decrease the possibility percentage of having a Mon with good stats. This way,it's fair to those that can't play with intended ideals and it more or less allows those in person to get higher drop rates/stats,thus promoting actually being there🤷♂️🤷♂️
One thing I'm hoping for with the sky islands is that they're procedurally generated, moving along like the clouds themselves and spawning/despawning as time goes by. Significant islands could have a "hard spawn" whereas the PG islands could be met with random based loot/enemies/resources etc. Imagine the replayabilty if this would be the case...
A huge mistake is that they make a dedicated console. They merged their console/handheld divisions and creating something that wouldn't appeal to both markets would be a huge loss in rev.
I'm with everyone on saying that the performance needs some severe work. But I must also say I would like the option to speed up battles/animations/text as well. The idea for the easily identifiable status icon needs to be a thing as well, rather than the pop-up text with the occurring status.
I can relate to Ollie's story, although not exactly my case. Having played through prime multiple times,I picked up Prime trilogy on the Wii. And having the experience in the past,I rarely scanned things and just relied on memory. I believe it was that exact door, needing the morph ball to open, but I overlooked it constantly. I ran through every area, multiple times, got frustrated MULTIPLE times.I decided to delete the save and play through again, thinking I missed something important. This playthrough,i was scanning everything and yep...realized what I needed to do...so I opened the door..went to save..turned off the console and took a break for a few days because I just couldn't believe I overlooked something such as that😂
@Moonlessky Not at all. Even the versions that do have OM,the majority prefer to play it solo. Chances are slim to none on finding a random encounter and friends are more opinionated on where to go. It's nice to have the option, sure, but nowhere near a deal breaker without it.
@__jamiie While this is true, graphics have moved beyond visual clarity and gone more into lighting/shadows and environmental dynamics. Example being if a leaf were to be blowing in the wind, certain parts of the leaf would be affected accordingly. It's the little in depth details that get overlooked just because things "looking good" is what most pay attention to.
@MarinoKadame having played it,id say that was more a 1.5. Only thing drastically different was the story but it reused the grand majority from the first
The game's plot sounds identical to the second movie years later. Wonder what happened with the story about THAT,if it's a Activision>>Disney pass on Orr vice versa
I'm hoping nintendo keeps going with the hybrid. If they needed to switch it up,I would say they should invest in the "uncrease-able" screens and come out with a "fold" version of it,thus making it even more portable. But obvi the concerns would be how well/long would the screens be okay..I dunno, just an idea🤷♂️
@Olliemar28 It's not that there was an issue with the load times,it's just Capcom knows there's a younger demographic on the switch. So that half hour was Capcom's way of saying "you still have time to back out lil child!"😬😬
What I'm holding out for is the hope that they'll add a lap modifier like some of the past games have had,as well as to race all tracks in one tournament-style cup. 96 tracks,9 laps,200cc and only single mushrooms. That's my dream 😂
@Coffeemonster Actually this just happened to me for the first time (to my recollection) and I was curious on this as well. Maybe it's always been a thing🤷♂️, But our minds are so melded to the older tracks that we begin the turn early enough, thus not getting close to the barriers in the first place?
