I missed out on mk64, but my bro had CTR. Looking back I honestly think ctr was the better one as I compare them visually and when I finally got to try out both at a friend's house. It was the kart racer for those who 'felt' like they had out grown MK. Missiles instead of koopa shells. Refreshing at the time. If I had the choice like now , I'd go for both

Kinda feels like a cop out but then again, I get what he's trying to do and it does make me imagine where it could fit in the zelda universe. Besides, YouTube has a ton of videos about this topic

I am not one of those subscribers. Not worth it to me. Even when smash comes, it'll be singer player mode for awhile until this online subscription improves. Even if my switch dies, still not getting it because splatoon 2 is not backed up. I've spent the most time there and 2 pairs of joycons died at the mercy of that game. I'll keep my money and wait for the inevitable. At least my ps4 is getting quite the workout now.

@Mrtoad @Anti-Matter if I'm not mistaken, it's 20th century fox that's being bought by Disney. 20th owns the movie rights to marvel properties like deadpool. Just like how sony owns Spider-Man. So Disney is buying a piece off of fox.

Honestly, if I were the dev who took A chance to move cross country and was only there a week before being shuttered. Chances are I would laugh in their faces if i got a call to come back. I don't think I would have been able to accept that news without blowing a fuse.

I like the official one better. Secondly, peachette was a fusion of peach and toadette. All these other names don't make sense like boosette. Shouldn't these other ones be called something else because toadette is not involved in any way. Such as mentioned earlier, Powser, or Boowser.

Just goes to show you, doesn't matter if you have a crack team of developers, managers/upper management can destroy it all. Sadly the world is riddled with terrible managers.

Some of you have an almost nihilist attitude towards the guy. Yes, we all will die eventually, yes some faster/suddenly than others unfortunately. Doesn't mean on his way out he can't find a little happiness like a video game, time with family, or both such as playing the game with the family. This doesn't affect any of you, just instead tells us that some are indifferent, others compassionate, and still others cold. Whether that's by your nature, or experiences in life, live and let live.

Played it. Love it. Will buy it. Still haven't even reached Blackman yet. These games are harder than I remember them...or maybe with age I am losing my edge.

To me, a plan would be to start out with a cheap license. Develop your game and publish it to PC/MAC. Take the profits to then get a license for Nintendo. It's a gamble but it may be worth it. I'm guessing that's how some phone games ended up on switch.

@ReaderRagfish in reality, a whetstones lasts more than once. Common sense dictates when I sharpen a knife, the whetstone I bought would last more than one use. Same with pick axes. I actually own one, I've used it plenty of times on rocks and such. Solutions to problems? It's more common sense vs silly game logic

@NewAdvent condition for triple dipping is transferring characters to the switch version which doesn't appear to have it at the moment. Technically it would be quadruple dipping since I got 2 copies for me and her back when D3 came out. She played on her mac and I on PC. We never bothered with the expansions wasn't about to buy it for both copies back then...

@Hrimfaksi I'm her source of gaming news. She expects me to tell her what's up. She never bothers to read up on stuff. She owned the mac version when it first came out. Since having kids her gaming time was severely curbed. So now that they are older and can entertain themselves she's got more time. It's quite the coincidence for her.

My wife is a massive Diablo fan and when she heard about D3 coming to switch she was ecstatic. Then she heard it was already on the PS4...she just couldn't wait and had me buy it for her there instead. Sorry Nintendo, looks like you're not getting my money this time around 🤷‍♂️

So it turns out 28GB for the PS4 version of the D3 eternal collection s I browsed the store just now... Nintendo compression masters.

@Cobalt as you've stated, Odyssey is aimed at casual. That casual crowd includes my 5 year old. Who thanks to Nintendo, can keep trying, raving about completing a kingdom and going back and trying the harder ones. You sir, and your traditionalist crowd(myself included) cannot sustain Nintendo alone. 13m Wii U sales with me being one of them is not a sign of a success. So you shall remain the minority, sad to say. Nintendo of old is gone, chasing that green in order to later come back and create some more traditional games later is my hope. I thoroughly enjoyed Odyssey and so has my son. So in that regard the game was a perfect 10. Opinions, everyone's got one 😊

nope. Pass. I loved 4U to bits but since it's a 3DS port without that many enhancements, Hardly worth 60 dollars. I'm also spoiled by MHW changes and currently enjoying the FF crossover monster.

How cheeky. In hindsight this idea should have been a no brainer, butt a come from behind win is good enough for me. Years from now when the Pokemon company looks in their rear view mirror in regards to this product, I hope they and the market will look at it fondly and not give it a bum rap.

On topic: I've downloaded the game but I haven't gotten around to actually playing it. I've been more curious about their engine instead. I do wonder how easy/hard to pick it up and develop with it...

Sorry, I'm too spoiled by the conveniences of monster Hunter world to go backwards. While I understand some of you see GU as the real MH or "better" I don't have the patience/time to grind so much(2 sons). Ironically with mhw, it's the most hours I've logged since 4U. Which that one clocked in at 140 hrs. I've logged 250 on mhw and haven't had the burnt out feeling I got with 3U and 4U. So I hope you all enjoy GU on switch 😁

I do agree with the sentiment that DK feels a bit over powered. I only just started the game and I'm hoping the enemies give him a run for his money ☺

Besides the horror stories of collapsing or dying while playing video games. Let's not forget the parents who try to limit their kids and they themselves end up dying. I remember reading an article where the mom/dad took away Halo from their kid and he ended up getting their gun and shooting them in the head while they slept. An extreme case but still...
