The developers announced this back in December, but I completely forgot about it. Looking forward to playing it on Switch!

Now if they would just let me play the Switch version... doesn't seem to be live yet.

I love the joycons and the whole modular system was part of the appeal for me. Always having two controllers with you is amazing and I used table top mode often enough for it not being a gimmick. That said, I don't think the Switch 2 should be held back by it's predecessor design-wise. I'd like to keep using the joycons for multiplayer games, but they don't need to connect to the console.

that escalated quickly

I'm playing the first part right now and while I enjoy spending time with these characters again, I feel like it doesn't really add much to the original game. The softer art style also makes it lose some of its edge. I feel like a more straightforward port would have been interesting, but I also need to re-visit the original game to make sure I'm not just blinded by nostalgia right now.

.... how about putting "Rumour" at the beginning of the headline, not at the end?

I love how Melee's Adventure Mode really embraced the different game worlds. The Subspace Emissary felt kind of generic a lot of the time.

@Pete_Stooge It's also not especially easy. More on the cinematic side, but some of the swimming and time-based segements might need a few tries. I'm not saying it's a difficult game, but its inclusion on this list is confusing.

They appear in Melee's adventure mode, which is fine, but there's also a small chance they can pop out of crates during regular versus battles. I was freaked out when this first happened to me - it's like the game itself can't contain them.

I love the source material and didn't dare to get my hopes up, so I'm positively suprised! This goes on my Christmas wish list.

When I played the demo (on PC) I enjoyed the classic adventure gameplay and felt that the visuals looked quite polished. Comparing it to the original Broken Sword sets the bar way too high, but this is by no means shovelware.

I'll get this only to explore the different Croft Manors. Can't wait to drive the quad!

Reminds me of "Tick Tock: A Tale for Two". I love this kind of gameplay.

Farming the tera shards was one of the things that kept me busy in the post-game while building new teams (also made for a nice gameplay loop), but I wouldn't mind them being less scarce if there were other things to do after you finished the story.

I got so much mileage out of Three Houses and my two Solitaire games that I chose 2019. Untitled Goose Game and What Remains of Edith Finch were also great additions. (Honorable Mentions: Ni No Kuni and Super Mario Bros. 2.)

Pokémon Night Parade.

Playing Broken Sword 4 as an impatient 16-year-old. You were supposed to open a door, but couldn't reach the latch. The solution was simply using the golf club that had been in your inventory for most of the game. I used a walkthrough.

Pokémon Black and White: Route 10.

I chose GBA Boo Lake because that's exactly the kind of track I love to see: staying true to the original design while adding a MK8 twist with underwater and anti-gravity sections. I don't really care for tracks with alternate routes or those that feel like they were streamlined for Mario Kart Tour. It's about time they add some more Double Dash tracks, too.

I love the art style, music and atmosphere, feels like they're building an interesting story around a simple gameplay premise (like "florence").

I still love to boot it up and do my "chores", but it's always a matter of 10 minutes.

@Grumblevolcano Fingers crossed that they'll bring back Luigi's Mansion for the DLC!

I think it would help if there were creatures I'd actually like to take photos of... "Alba: A Wildlife Adventure" and "Beasts of Maravilla Island" did that a lot better for me.

I have a two-page long wishlist on my 3DS that I check every week for discounts. I'll probably cave in next year and buy everything on it anyway.

Snow Land! I always love to see the 2D tracks brought to life with creative freedom. To me it feels the most like a track that could have been in Mario Kart 8 all along.

I pick the starter whose first stage I simply like the most (Litten, Scorbunny, Quaxly). I avoid spoilers for final evolutions and secondary types, so it's often a surprise for me ... I mostly end up with fire or water types, anyway.
