Re: '4PGP: Four-Player Grand Prix' Brings 90's-Style Multiplayer Racing To Switch 1 & 2 In 2026

MarcelMaigre

At least the author (because yes, I'm done calling you PJ from now on 😡) did not dare to mention F1 Triple Battle.

I don't know what upsets me the most : the fact that I felt legitimate enough to include an emoji in a written rant to someone who doesn't normally take a drawing from anyone, or the fact that I might actually be curious about this publicity stunt just because someone who formerly shouldn't have taken a drawing from anyone is pulling it, be it with the most un-engaging words ever.

Re: Opinion: I'm Celebrating Super Mario Bros.' 40th Anniversary By Finally Finishing It

MarcelMaigre

@Anti-Matter
You used to make me smile with your singular obsession over the 6 packs of cartoon boxers (the sportsmen, not the briefs) and obscure arcade rythm games, but now it's all negativity, about Mario, the Switch 2, game key cards and whatnot.

Lighten up !
The plumber is 40 (technically a little more, I know) !
Jim Norman has finally come of age as a gamer !

We should fuse you with Johnny Mind, and maybe we'd get a balanced person (rather sooner than later, when we find the time and when our copy of the human fusion manual arrives).

Re: Best Mario Kart Games Of All Time

MarcelMaigre

@beartown

Again, tastes and colors cannot be discussed too far down the rainbow road, they can only stack up clicks and ad revenues.

There's also an age factor, I guess.
I was 19 when the first game was released. My take is undoubtebly different to someone's who's had their first experience with the saga by playing World, and then backtracked.

"enamoured"

Lovely.

Du français "enamouré".

I forgive you for not mentionning Kilik in your SoCal2 review.

On topic, you are so right about the art direction shielding the franchise with an ageless component. It is in fact so unique that, as you know, comic books/mangas and even records have derived from the games. It only happens to the best.

And about online hooplas, I must say I had a great time playing COD:Ghosts on WiiU. People were almost always civil and nice there, or at least decent. Probably because there were so few. Shout out to my lost pals AvalancheSoccer and Naiseva, by the way.

Re: Review: SoulCalibur II (GameCube) - One Of The Best Fighters Ever, Playable Oh-So-Soon On Switch 2

MarcelMaigre

@BrokenCiv @PJOReilly

Love to hear that you like this game as much as I do, and thank you for such an excellent review (although I'd be happy to prove you - and @PJOReilly, who has not even mentionned the fighter in the review, yet included an unflattering pic - wrong and change your... mind 😉 about Kilik). Here's hoping everyone will have fun playing with their own favorite character, and fingers crossed my pole does find your end when we meet online from June 5th on.

Re: Nintendo Asks Wii U Owners To Refrain From Using "Unauthorised" Online Services

MarcelMaigre

I might be wrong, but to me, a "security risk" does not (necessarily) result in console bricking.
I'm more concerned Nintendo means "if you use unofficial online services, hackers may use back doors and exploits to gain access to info stored on your WiiU and even find their way to other peripherals and connected elements of your home, such as computers, babyphones, smartphones...".
Maybe don't think punishment, think warning.

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: Zelda II: The Adventure Of Link

MarcelMaigre

@Yoshi3
"Elegant classic" : you've nailed it.

@Steel76
"It felt like you held a piece of treasure." : you've nailed it.

@brookeobscura
"Do you have the one with the shield or sword on the box?" : you've nailed it.

@Jhena
"So he was a Christian" : you've nailed him to the wrong cross.
Think Rose Cross. Think pyramid. Think temples. Think tasks. Think bosses with a major and single eye. Think compass (and its other meaning : the tool used to measure/trace circles). Think G(anon)...
Etc.
Link is most definitely a freemason before he is a Christian.
